Description

Lava Reel is a private cinema diary for the people who care which film they finished last Tuesday. Open the app, tap the glowing lava button at the bottom, type a few letters of a title — the search lights up with posters pulled straight from a public movie database. Tap the one you watched. The app fills in the director, the year, the runtime, the genres, and the poster. You add the part that is yours — the rating on a sliding scale, the mood tag (Mind-blown, Cosy, Weird, Tense, Heartwarming and more), where you watched it (cinema, home, a friend's place), who you were with, and a few lines of your own thinking.

Save and the new entry slides onto the Diary feed with a small eruption flourish across the card. Open the diary later and scroll through your year of films — every poster you have tapped, in reverse chronological order, with your own rating and mood stamped on each card.

The Watchlist is a separate, quieter pile — films you mean to get to. Find one, tap the magma star instead of Save, and it lands on the Watchlist. The day you actually watch it, swipe and the entry is pre-filled — you just add the rating and your notes.

Stats shows the shape of your viewing — total hours, your most-watched directors and decades, your mood map (you love Mind-blown and Cosy), the cinema-vs-home ratio, and a calendar heatmap that paints itself in across the year as you log each film.

Lava Reel just remembers what you watched, beautifully.
