Description
Connect a typing keyboard to your iPad or iPhone and it becomes a MIDI controller: USB or Bluetooth and works great with the iPad Magic Keyboard. Four layouts, from a plain piano to one-key chords. Run it on its own, or as an AUv3 inside AUM, Logic and the rest. No other hardware to buy.
FOUR WAYS TO PLAY
Chromatic: laid out like a piano, with black key incidentals, pitch and modwheel shortcuts.
In-Key: set a key and lock yourself to its scale. Wrong notes are hard to play.
Fourths: a grid tuned in fourths, letting you transpose chord shapes across the scale.
Chord: one key, one chord. Major, minor, dim, aug or sus, with 6, m7, M7 or 9 on top.
EXPRESSION, FROM THE KEYS
Number-row shortcuts for pitch bend and modwheel.
Hold the spacebar as a sustain pedal.
Shift switches between two velocities for extra dynamics.
Change the root, scale or octave and the whole board moves with it.
TOUCH OR TYPE
Play the on-screen keys with your fingers, or connect a USB, Bluetooth or Magic Keyboard and type notes on real keys.
Every layout works both ways — no hardware needed to get started.
WORKS EVERYWHERE
Standalone app, or an AUv3 MIDI plug-in inside AUM, Logic, Cubasis, Drambo and other hosts.
Sends to any CoreMIDI destination — hardware, other apps, or the host.
Includes a suite of instrument samples to audition QWERTET's layouts.
iPhone and iPad, iOS 16 and up.

ONE THING TO KNOW
Qwertet is designed to be used as a MIDI controller, not just a sound source — in CTRL mode, it doesn't make sound on its own. Pair it with a synth, sampler or your favourite AUv3 instrument to hear it.
