Description

MedQuest is a comprehensive study and learning companion for New Zealand general practice registrars preparing for RNZCGP written and clinical exams.

It brings exam revision, clinical case practice, spaced review and Fellowship support into one focused app. Use it for a short study session between clinics, a structured revision block, peer learning or preparation for your next mentor meeting.

PREPARE FOR YOUR EXAMS

Five-option, single-best-answer cases grounded in New Zealand primary care

Teaching explanations that unpack the clinical reasoning, not just the answer

Sources displayed so you can check the guidance behind the teaching

Random sessions that reflect the mixed nature of an exam paper

Targeted practice when you need to strengthen a particular area

Confidence checks and spaced review for questions you missed or were unsure about

Sprint mode with 1,030 focused recall prompts

BUILD CLINICAL CONFIDENCE

74 guided clinical cases covering history, examination and management

Case-specific physical examination prompts and checklists

A peer study mode for discussing cases and explaining your reasoning aloud

A New Zealand-focused learning library with 386 topics

SUPPORT THROUGH GPEP AND FELLOWSHIP

MedQuest continues beyond the first exam. The Fellowship area helps GPEP 2 and GPEP 3 registrars understand programme requirements, estimate and track clinical time, organise PDP activity and prepare useful questions for supervisors and mentors.

You can capture de-identified learning cases, reflect on difficult consultations and turn your notes into a clear mentor discussion. An optional in-clinic educational workflow reinforces consultation habits such as checking results and correspondence, exploring the patient's ideas, concerns and expectations, gaining consent, safety-netting and documenting follow-up. Formal clinical records must remain in your practice management system.

MADE FOR AOTEAROA

Content is designed around New Zealand general practice, including prescribing, funding, equity, access and culturally safe care. MedQuest is developed by medical professionals for medical professionals and is continually refined as guidance and registrar needs evolve.
