Description

AdaptiveHiking helps you check a route, find a walk, and start walking with calmer, accessibility-first planning.

Build a Quick Profile only when you need it, choose walking modes such as Everyday, Gentle Day, Step-Free, Family/Pushchair, Build Confidence, Long-Distance, or Custom, then compare routes with plain-language Route Fit. You see Strong Fit, Moderate Fit, Weak Fit, or Cannot Confirm, plus separate data confidence and clear reasons.

Version 2.0 includes:

A redesigned Today screen around Check a Route, Find a Walk, and Start Walking

Route Fit summaries with personalized duration ranges, expected breaks, ascent and descent, difficult segments, facilities, daylight outcome, known exits, and missing information

Private route import for GPX, KML, GeoJSON, and CSV, including tracks, routes, multiple segments, elevation, timestamps, and names

Structured private route editing for surfaces, steps, gates, stiles, closures, vegetation, toilets, water, benches, bridges, livestock, diversions, hazards, rest points, and known exits

Live walking with Core Location progress, pace, elapsed time, GPS confidence, expected finish time, and interruption recovery

Private walk history, optional on-device learning, and unplanned pace-check walks

Free saved routes plus structured offline packs with route geometry, notes, facilities, exits, emergency details, forecast summary, and Route Fit

Structured community access reports with confirmation, resolution, and expiry flows

AdaptiveHiking keeps a calm, practical guide voice and supports localized distance, elevation, weather, safety, permissions, and route guidance. Route information can still be incomplete, so check official local sources and current conditions before you travel. AdaptiveHiking supports planning and confidence; it does not provide medical or emergency advice.
