Description

Found a recipe in another language? Translate it on your device and save it.

Recipe Pocket is your own personal recipe book, so you never have to ask "where did I save that recipe again?"

Found a great dish on an English or foreign-language recipe site? Translate it into your own language right on your device and keep it in your recipe book. Paste in a recipe page URL and the ingredients and steps are saved together. The recipes you discover, the flavors you inherit, and the dishes still to come all live in one place.

■ Who it's for

You find a recipe site in another language but give up at the language barrier

You've bookmarked so many recipe sites that you can't find anything anymore

Recipes you saved as screenshots are buried in your photo library

You want the handwritten family recipes you inherited on your phone, too

During cooking, the screen keeps dimming and you have to keep touching your phone

■ What you can do

Translate recipes (try free up to 15 times; unlimited with Plus)

Read recipes from other languages, translated right on your device. Translation runs automatically, and you can save the translated text straight into your recipe book.

Because translation is automatic, the result may contain mistakes.

Customize translations

Edit the translated text freely and save it as your own recipe. The original is kept for reference, so you can compare the two and put it in your own words.

Import video recipes

Import from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and more, when the ingredients and steps are written in the post's description or caption. Supported posts only.

Import from a URL

Paste the page URL of a supported recipe site and the ingredients and steps are read in and saved. Imported recipes keep a link to the original page, so you can always check the source.

With Plus, you can also use "bulk import" to bring in several URLs at once.

Add recipes by hand

Save with just a dish name and a photo, then add the ingredients and steps later at your own pace. Keep the family flavors you inherited in your own words.

Favorites

Tap the heart on recipes you make often and filter to just your favorites in an instant.

Cook Mode

When you cook, the steps are shown large. Step photos are easy to see, ingredient names are highlighted, and amounts are right there.

With Plus, you can also use "keep screen awake" so the display won't dim automatically while you cook.

Find it fast with tags and search

Organize with free-form tags and categories, and search across both dish names and ingredients. Search "chicken breast" and every recipe you can use lines up together.

Sync with iCloud, back up with peace of mind

Saved recipes sync to your other devices through iCloud. You can also create backups by exporting and importing, so your treasured recipes are safe.

Choose the app's display language (free)

Display the app in either English or Japanese.

■ What you can use for free

Save up to 30 recipes

Try recipe translation up to 15 times

Import from URLs and videos, favorites, search, Cook Mode, iCloud sync, backup, and switching the display language

Try recipe translation free up to 15 times. Unlimited translation, translation customization, bulk import, keep-screen-awake in Cook Mode, and lifting the saved-recipe limit are available with Plus (paid).

■ What we care about

Recipe Pocket is a tool for organizing the recipes you yourself have found and gathered, just for you. Imported recipes are intended for personal use. It quietly supports the everyday joy of cooking.

The recipes you discover, the flavors you inherit, and the dishes still to come.
