Description
NIS2 is a self-assessment tool for the EU Network and Information Security Directive 2 — Directive (EU) 2022/2555 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2022. It covers every EU Member State where NIS2 is mandatory (all 27), in 5 languages: English, Italian, Romanian, German and Spanish.

WHY NIS2 MATTERS
The deadline for Member State transposition was 17 October 2024 — NIS2 is already in force across the EU. Administrative fines reach 10M EUR or 2% of worldwide turnover for essential entities, and 7M EUR or 1.4% for important entities. The Directive also makes management bodies personally responsible (Art. 20).
