Description

Did I eat chocolate? Did I call my mom? Did I take my meds?

Did I? is a calm yes/no journal. Each day asks one question — a question you've written yourself. You answer with a single tap, from the lock screen widget, the home screen widget, or the app. Over time, you see the picture of your days.

ONE TAP, NO FRICTION —

Tap "Yes" or "No" directly from the lock-screen widget. No unlocking, no app to open. Once you've answered, the widget locks for that period so you can't accidentally re-tap.

WRITE YOUR OWN QUESTIONS —

"Did I __________?" — fill in the blank with anything: a habit you're building, a habit you're breaking, a check-in with yourself. The italic blank invites whatever you bring.

RESETS WHEN YOU SAY —

Reset every hour, every day, or every week. Choose end-of-day or a custom time — Did I? rolls over at exactly that moment. Weekly questions pick a day-of-week reset.

THE LONG VIEW —

The calendar view shows your answers as filled or hollow squares — a quiet at-a-glance trend. Weekly bars summarize the last month. Cross-question correlations surface patterns ("the days I ate chocolate were also the days I skipped exercise").

DESIGN —

Near-monochrome paper palette. Newsreader italic for the prompt. No notifications, no streaks, no nagging. Built to feel like a quiet notebook, not a productivity tool.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT —

Did I? collects nothing. No analytics, no servers, no accounts. Everything stays on your iPhone. Works fully offline.

REQUIRES —

iOS 17 or later. Lock-screen widget requires iOS 17+ interactive widget support.

FROM THE MAKER —

Built by one person. Feedback welcome at [email protected].
