Description

Indian Math Path is a mental arithmetic dojo that takes you from struggling with 2-digit multiplication to solving any number up to 99 × 99 in your head — in just 13 steps.

Built on classical Indian (Vedic) multiplication methods, it organizes centuries of mental math wisdom into a clean, gamified ranking system: six Kyu ranks for the fundamentals, seven Dan ranks for the masters.

■ Why Indian-Style?

Indian-style multiplication doesn't look anything like the long multiplication you learned in school. Instead of stacking digits and carrying, you spot a pattern, apply a 3-step formula, and the answer falls out — often faster than you can type it.

"Put the digits at the ends, slip the sum in the middle."

"Take the average squared, subtract the gap squared."

"Count the shortfall from 100, cross-subtract, multiply the rest."

Once you see the patterns, 2-digit multiplication stops feeling like math and starts feeling like a magic trick you can do.

■ The 13-Step Curriculum

Kyu Ranks — Foundations

6-Kyu ab × 11

5-Kyu (ab) × (cb), a + c = 10

4-Kyu (ab) × (ac), b + c = 10

3-Kyu (1a) × (1b), both 11–19

2-Kyu (N − d) × (N + d), clean average

1-Kyu multiplying numbers near 100

Dan Ranks — Mastery

1-Dan 2-digit × 1-digit

2-Dan even × number ending in 5

3-Dan (a5) × (b5)

4-Dan even × 25, even × 75

5-Dan (a1) × (b1)

6-Dan (ab) × (ac), same tens digit

7-Dan general 2-digit × 2-digit (vertically and crosswise)

Every step ships with a full lesson: the pattern, the formula, the worked examples, the intuition behind it, and a clean step-by-step procedure. You don't memorize tricks — you understand why they work, so the skill sticks.

■ Two Ways to Train

Master Course — 5 seconds per question, 50 seconds total. Pass the time attack and you rank up to the next step.

Free Course — no time pressure. Solve at your own pace while the app quietly times you, so you can warm up before going for the master rank.

■ Start with One Question

You don't need to be "a math person." Indian Math Path is designed so that five seconds, once a day, gradually wires a second calculation engine into your head. The first question is always the hardest — and it's only five seconds away.
