Description

Record where you go. Own what you record.

TrekLog is a GPS trek recorder that saves your routes as standard KML files directly to your phone or iCloud Drive. There are no accounts to create, no servers involved, and no data leaving your hands. You don’t even need an active Internet connection.

What you record belongs to you. Completely. Permanently. Privately.

TrekLog can also export your journeys as animated GIFs or MP4 videos, ready for YouTube, social media, video editors, or anywhere else you want to share your adventures.

WHAT IT DOES

Press play. Walk, hike, drive, or explore. TrekLog records your GPS coordinates, altitude, heading, and timestamps as you move. When you finish, your route is saved as a KML file in your iCloud Drive, ready to open in Google Earth or any mapping tool that supports the format.

Recording continues in the background; lock your phone, switch apps, or put it in your pocket. TrekLog stays on, quietly doing its job.

PAUSE AND RESUME

Real journeys are rarely uninterrupted. Pause when you stop, then resume when you’re ready. Each continuous stretch of movement is stored as its own track segment, so pauses appear as natural breaks rather than straight-line jumps.

If you forget to resume, TrekLog notices when you start moving again and sends a quiet notification. Tap to continue, and any missed movement is folded into your route. Nothing is lost.

ROUTE PLAYBACK

Open any saved trek and press play to watch your route draw itself across the map. The full journey plays back in 5, 10, or 15 seconds; a quick way to relive a long hike, revisit a road trip, or share where you’ve been.

EXPORT FOR SHARING

Export your routes as animated GIFs or MP4 videos in 720p, 1080p, or 4K resolution. Route animations are perfect for YouTube travel videos, scenic drive recordings, hiking journals, or sharing your adventures online.

MP4 exports work beautifully with editors like Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and iMovie, making it easy to integrate route animations into larger video projects.

LIVE MAP

While recording, a live map shows your route building in real time, along with a directional indicator showing where you’re headed. Paused movement appears as a dashed line, clearly separated from your active track.

The map is there when you want it. Recording continues whether you’re looking at it or not.

TREK HISTORY

Every completed trek is saved in the History tab, sorted by date. Tap any entry to view it on the map alongside key details: start time, duration, distance, and point count.

Delete treks anytime, directly from the app.

YOUR DATA, YOUR WAY

TrekLog’s KML files are plain XML. Open them in any text editor, import them into Google Earth or GIS software, or store them wherever you like.

Because your files live in your iCloud Drive, they sync automatically across your devices with no extra setup.

HONEST PRICING

TrekLog is a one-time purchase. After that, it’s yours.

No subscriptions. No ads. No locked features. Every update is included.
