Waypoint is an offline outdoor navigation app. Drop a location marker anywhere, then follow a compass arrow back. No maps, no signal, no internet required.
In one tap, save where you are — your campsite, your car, a trailhead, a fishing spot — and when it's time to return, a big arrow points the way while showing your distance in real time. It's the simplest way to remember where you've been.
WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE
Waypoint uses your phone's GPS and compass to power outdoor navigation — no cell service, no downloaded maps, no internet connection needed. It works in airplane mode, deep in the backcountry, and in parking garages where your maps app gives up.
HOW IT WORKS
Tap "Mark My Location" to drop a location marker. Choose from lots of icons across categories like Outdoor, Vehicles, Food, and more. Snap a photo to jog your memory later. When you're ready to return, tap the marker and follow the arrow.
PRECISE NAVIGATION
The arrow uses real-time GPS and compass data with advanced smoothing so it feels natural, not jittery. You'll see your distance update live — in feet, meters, miles, or kilometers — with a clear direction label telling you if your location marker is ahead, behind, or off to the side. When you arrive, the app celebrates with a haptic tap and shows your photo.
