Made for Casual Fun and Practice

This game is designed for relaxing card fun and improving your play:

Simple interface

Clean visuals

Comfortable play sessions

Helpful flow for both beginners and experienced players

1) Setup

4 players, in 2 teams (partners sit opposite each other).

Uses a 32-card deck: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7.

2) Deal

Each player first receives 5 cards. One card is turned face up (used for choosing trump). After a trump is chosen, everyone receives the remaining cards to have 8 cards total.

3) Choose Trump (Bidding)

Belote is a contract game: one team "takes" the hand by choosing the trump.

Round 1: each player either Passes or Accepts the face-up suit as trump.

If all pass — Round 2: players may choose a different suit as trump.

Also available: No Trump and All Trump modes, plus Coinche variants.

4) Playing Tricks

8 tricks per hand. Follow the led suit if you can; otherwise play a trump if you have one. The highest trump wins; if no trump is played, the highest card of the led suit wins.

5) Scoring

162 total trick points per hand, including +10 for the last trick.

Card values:

Non-trump: A=11, 10=10, K=4, Q=3, J=2, 9/8/7=0

Trump: J=20, 9=14, A=11, 10=10, K=4, Q=3, 8/7=0

The team that took trump must score at least 82 points to succeed. If they fail, the opposing team claims all points.

6) "Belote" Bonus

Holding the King + Queen of trumps lets you declare "Belote" for a bonus (+20).

7) Coinche

A competitive variant where bids can be doubled (and redoubled), raising the stakes of each hand.
