Description

Beltari captures the night sky in one tap — then lets you put your phone down.

No holding your arm up. No squinting through your screen. Tap once, then lower your phone and explore a star map of what’s visible to the naked eye. Every planet and constellation above you, plus the bright stars you can pick out by eye — identified by name.

HOW IT WORKS

Aim your camera at the sky and tap the shutter. Beltari captures your orientation — no photo taken — and instantly generates your star map. Now lower your phone. Swipe to pan in any direction across the full celestial sphere.

Stars and planets appear one by one, brightest first. Tap any object to see its name. Pinch to zoom up to 5x.

KNOW WHEN TO LOOK UP

Beltari's Calendar tells you when the sky is worth heading outside for. A meteor shower at its peak, a planet at opposition, a lunar eclipse, a close Moon-and-planet pairing — only the rare events ahead, each with its date and what to look for. Turn on reminders and a notification arrives that afternoon, so you don't have to keep checking. No noise, just the nights that matter.

ALL 88 CONSTELLATIONS

Reveal constellation lines drawn across the sky. Tap a constellation to highlight it and learn its name.

FIVE VISUAL STYLES

Transform your star map with five distinct themes: deep-space Classic, warm Antique parchment, technical Blueprint, vibrant Neon, or clean Minimal. Mix any color theme with the star shape you like best.

KNOW WHICH WAY TO LOOK

Beltari has a built-in compass, so you always know which way you're facing. When the Calendar says to look west — like the planets gathering low in the evening sky — you can find that direction right away, no separate compass app needed.

MATCH YOUR SKY

Drag the visibility slider to reveal dimmer stars or pare the sky back to its brightest landmarks — so the map matches what you actually see overhead. Beltari starts with a smart default by reading your camera's exposure at the moment of capture.

PROTECT YOUR NIGHT VISION

Deep-red mode keeps your eyes adjusted to the dark. It takes your eyes a long time to adapt to a dark sky and one white screen to undo it, so Beltari turns its controls, star labels and Calendar deep red.

PRIVACY

No accounts. No ads. No tracking, no advertising IDs. The app works fully offline. The camera is used only for aiming — no photo is taken — and your location only to work out which stars are above you. Your last position is kept on your device so the sky can be drawn right away; we never receive it. A coordinate leaves your iPhone only when the app asks Apple for your time zone. The only other data that leaves your device is anonymous usage stats (which features get used), never tied to you and never sold.

PREMIUM

Beltari is free to use. The only limit is three captures a night, and they come back every day at noon; identifying what you captured is never limited.

A one-time purchase removes the limit: unlimited captures. No subscription, no renewal.
