Description
Reqeast is a native API client for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Built with SwiftUI and Rust. Test HTTP, call gRPC, open TCP/TLS, send UDP, connect WebSocket, and subscribe to SSE. Six protocols in one app.
No Electron. No cloud accounts. No sign-up. Launches instantly. Your data stays on your devices. Synced through iCloud. Nothing else.
HTTP
Request builder with GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, and OPTIONS. Headers, query params, and body as JSON, form data, URL encoded, text, or binary. Eight auth types: Bearer Token, Basic Auth, API Key, JWT Bearer, Hawk, AWS Signature V4, Akamai EdgeGrid, and more coming. Responses with syntax highlighting, JSON tree, images, and hex. Cookies built in. HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2.
gRPC
Unary and streaming RPCs. Server reflection, local proto library with multi-file bundles, hex message mode. Proto bundles sync over iCloud.
WebSocket
Persistent bidirectional real-time connections. Custom headers, subprotocol, auto-ping, and TLS with insecure mode for development.
Server-Sent Events
Subscribe to SSE endpoints and watch event streams in real time. Event type and ID with full conversation history.
TCP and TLS
Raw TCP connections or TLS sessions. Persistent and one-shot modes. UTF-8, hex, base64, configurable line endings. Message history per session.
UDP
Send and receive datagrams with bind port and timeout. Same encoding options as TCP.
Environments
Variables per project with {{variable}} syntax. URLs, headers, body, auth. Secrets in Keychain. Switch instantly.

Request code in 10 languages: cURL, HTTP raw, Python, Node.js, JavaScript Fetch, Java, Go, C#, Swift, and Rust.
Import
Paste cURL, HTTPie, or wget into requests. Import API specs: OpenAPI, Postman, Insomnia, Bruno, HAR, AsyncAPI, and GraphQL SDL from paste, file, URL, multi-file bundle, or Git. Link a project to a remote spec, review changes, and apply updates without losing local edits. On-device Apple Intelligence fallback for unrecognized formats.
Project Organization
Group requests into projects with icons and colors. Project and request folders. History with full snapshot restore.
iCloud Sync
Projects, requests, and environments sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac through iCloud. Credentials through Keychain.
Apple Shortcuts
Six actions for HTTP, gRPC, TCP, UDP, WebSocket, and SSE. Automate from Shortcuts, Siri, or other tools. Variables and parameters at runtime.
jq Filter
Filter and transform JSON with jq in the response view. Optional unquote for string results.
Export
Export all projects as one file. Share or back up locally. Export a project as OpenAPI 3.1 or Postman Collection v2.1.
