Description
PXLCAM is a camera that pushes back.
Every photo you take has a footprint. Higher resolution means bigger files, which take more energy to store and share. Most cameras are in a race to capture more. PXLCAM goes the other way.
SHOOT
Take photos in a retro, lo-fi aesthetic – grainy, dithered, and intentionally low-resolution. Smaller files by design, lighter on storage and energy.
STAMP
Every photo is stamped with the date, the time, and the Climate Clock: a live countdown showing how long scientists estimate we have left to meaningfully act on climate change. It makes an abstract deadline personal, embedded into the everyday. The clock ticks in every shot, quietly asking: what are you capturing, and why does it matter?
