Description

Orbit is a walking route planner built around you — your time, your steps, your pace, and where you feel like going.

Want a 30-minute walk? 5,000 steps? A new route through your neighborhood? Somewhere to wander before finding your way home?

Choose how you want to walk and Orbit builds the route for you, with turn-by-turn walking directions, personalized pace guidance, and routes that adapt to how you actually walk.

Whether you're exploring somewhere new, getting your daily steps in, or trying to build a regular walking habit, Orbit helps make every walk feel purposeful.

CHOOSE HOW YOU WANT TO WALK

Loop — Set a time or step goal and Orbit creates a circular walking route that brings you back to where you started. Prefer greenery? Park Loop builds your walk around a nearby park or green space.

Go — Choose where you want to go, add up to five stops, and get turn-by-turn directions between them. Finish at your last stop or let Orbit plan the walk home.

Roam — Start walking with no fixed route. Wander wherever you like and, when the time is right, Orbit creates a route back to your start or on to your chosen destination.

Open — No planned route. Just walk while Orbit tracks your time, distance, steps and pace.

Draw — Sketch a route on the map with your finger and Orbit snaps it to real walkable streets and paths.

History — Pick a favorite walk from your history and Orbit rebuilds it from wherever you're standing today.

ROUTES BUILT AROUND YOUR PACE

You're not an average walker, so Orbit doesn't treat you like one.

Choose Relaxed, Regular, Brisk or Fast. Orbit measures your natural walking pace and stride using Apple Health, then learns from your completed walks to improve future route distances, timings and pace guidance.

The more you walk, the more personal Orbit becomes.

SET A TIME OR STEP GOAL

Tell Orbit how long you want to walk or how many steps you want to take.

Orbit works out the distance that fits your pace and builds your route around your goal — from a quick walk around the block to a longer adventure.

BUILD A WALKING HABIT

My Week helps turn individual walks into a routine.

Set a weekly time or step goal, plan particular walking sessions or let Orbit automatically count walking activity recorded by Apple Health.

Orbit can also learn when you naturally tend to walk and suggest a walk around the times that already fit your routine.

And with forgiving streaks, one rest day each week can protect your progress when life gets in the way.
