Description

Hi, I’m Mike. I built Presently because I have lived with Depersonalization and Derealization (DPDR) myself.

When I was going through it, I remember how hard it was to find anything that actually helped. Most mental health apps focus on anxiety or meditation, but almost none talk about that strange, disconnected feeling where you don’t feel real.

I spent a long time trying different grounding tools, techniques, and coping methods from therapists, evidence-based practices, and DPDR communities. Over time, I started piecing together the things that actually worked for me. That’s how Presently was born.

This app combines the things that helped me most in one place.

What You’ll Find

Breathing tools you can customize to match your comfort

Grounding techniques for both depersonalization and derealization

A quick “Emergency” section for tough moments

Gentle audio guides and ambient sounds to help you reconnect

Includes guided affirmations to help calm anxiety and settle overwhelming thoughts

Tracking and gentle journaling prompts to help you notice patterns, like daily gratitude and a space to get things off your chest.

Relaxing, grounding activities to help keep your mind engaged

Core tools and practices are available offline anytime.

Presently isn’t a medical app or therapy. It’s something I built to make life a little easier for people like me who feel detached or dissociated at times.

If you struggle with DPDR or dissociation, I hope this helps you find a small sense of calm and connection again.

This is the first version, and there’s a lot more to come. I want to keep building this with the community’s help.

If something in the app helps you, or if you have questions, concerns, or ideas for what you’d like to see next, please reach out. I read every message and really appreciate the feedback.

Note

Presently is a self-care and grounding app for emotional support. It’s not meant to replace medical or professional treatment.
