Description
Treo turns your phone camera into a digital scale for grams. Photograph an object and get an estimated weight in grams, ounces, pounds or kilos in seconds.
Made for home cooks portioning food, coffee drinkers dosing a shot, sellers estimating postage, and anyone who needs a number when the kitchen scale is at home in a drawer.
No hardware. No calibration. Nothing to place in the frame for scale.
WHAT YOU CAN WEIGH
Food and cooking. Portion a serving, check a recipe amount, see what is actually on the plate.
Coffee. Dose a shot or a pour-over when you are away from your own kit.
Parcels and post. Get a working number for a package before you queue at the counter, or a bag before you leave for the airport.
Gold and small valuables. A chain, a ring, a coin, without a jeweller's scale in front of you.
Small everyday things. Powders, hardware, craft supplies, a school project, anything that fits in a photo.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the camera, or pick a photo you already have.
2. Frame the item on a flat surface with nothing else in the shot.
3. Read the estimate in grams, ounces, pounds or kilograms.
Every result carries a confidence percentage and a comparison you can check for yourself, such as "about the same weight as one large egg". Switch between metric and imperial in one tap. Everything you weigh is saved to a history with its photo, so you can look up last week's number without weighing it again.
HOW ACCURATE IS IT?
Treo gives you an estimate, not a measurement. A vision model recognises the object and reasons about what it typically weighs, so it lands closest on common, familiar items and is least reliable on unusual, dense or hollow ones. The confidence percentage on every result tells you how sure the model is, so you can judge the number instead of trusting it blindly.
DO I NEED A REFERENCE OBJECT IN THE PHOTO?
No. Some tools ask you to lay a coin or a card beside the item for scale. Treo does not.
DOES IT WORK OFFLINE?
No. Analysing a photo needs an internet connection.
PRIVACY
No account, no sign-up, no email address. Your photo is sent for analysis and is not stored on our servers.
More than 10,000 people have used Treo.
Note: Treo provides estimates. It is not a calibrated trade, retail or medical scale, and should not be used where an exact or legally binding weight is required.
Treo is free to try. Treo Pro removes the limit on analyses and is available as a weekly or annual subscription, priced in your local currency and shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple ID settings.
