It’s an ad watching app
Unless you spend money, prepare to watch a dozen ads a day to progress or unlock the special characters. I’m done with it. On top of that, the gameplay is repetitive and boring.

Buggy, Non-responsive Ad farm
Most time spent with this app open is watching adds. I was excited about and really wanted to enjoy this game, got into an active group and was doing the grind to level my roster of characters, but you quickly hit a wall that either requires money on constant repetitive grinding. Having encountered this in game before and being a fan of TWD, I tried to lock in for the grind and commit to see what the game had in store, deciding ultimately to hold out for my favorite character, Daryl. They finally added him in a limited event that requires a certain level of participation for chances at acquiring him and you can spend the game’s gem currency for extra chances. After saving up and waiting for the eventuality of this character, I participated and spent the majority of my gems on opportunities to acquire him and did not, but not only did not receive the character but my progress bar for earning the special side currency used in the event shop wasn’t working and letting claim my rewards, and when I changed tabs in the game my progress REVERTED to before when I spent any gems and my gems were still missing. I immediately messaged in-game support about this issue, but was ignored and the event ended with no response. Ultimately felt like a huge let down and waste of time, especially after all the adds.

The game is great the only thing that lets it down is the advertising and some times your stuck until you close the game
Has potential but… money grab
Game isn’t necessarily bad, but goodness, 50$ for a 30 day battle pass is highway robbery… it’s a phone game. Ads are crazy and legit can’t progress at all unless you watch ads or pay some absurd amount of money to play… if people are paying 50$ for a 30 day pass I think the ads can go away.
Updates over Ads
In order to enjoy this game without spending money, you’ll have to watch at least 100 ads a week. Can you guys also make mines on the ground more brighter and visible? I noticed how you added a new restriction to upgrading the town hall. I was only two days away from upgrading it to level 6 with logs alone. spend 1000 gems a week as weekly quest? is that possible to achieve without spending money? No notification of how long Beth will be in the alliance store, so I hope I dont save coins just to lose the chance on a random day. Is it asking too much to give each character a unique grunt when attacked, instead of each character having the same sound byte? A good game, just make it a GREAT game before you push the amount of ads you expect people to watch.
TWD, my thoughts.
I have to say I’m disappointed in one thing. I think it’s stupid we have to unlock characters in the game and can’t have 3 on the chapters. In TWD you work as a team, always been that way even if they’re NCP’S. Playing as just one player like just Rick sucks when there should be two or more with him. Having to buy characters to open them I should give 4 stars for that, but I had to go with 5 stars anyway. I wish this could be fixed by an update.

Progress completely halts at around level 10 so you can either pay to win further or not progress and uninstall like I am.
Becomes Pay to Win after a week
Good game at the beginning, but after a week it’s impossible to go further without paying for more supplies to upgrade your group as the supplies given for free are not enough to upgrade them anymore.

New update
Was really good until the new major update which now makes it impossible to pass arenas and chapters without having to pay to upgrade your chapter to be able to match the difficulty. Really hope they go back on the update!
It’s ok
The game is ok as long as you stay free to play. Growth will be very slow but the prices are totally outrageous compared to other games so I would strongly recommend not wasting any money on this game until they cut their prices way down.
Pay to win
It’s a great overall game, I love it, just way too money hungry of a game. I’ll probably play it from time to time but impossible progression without forking over $100 a month.

Not for non free to play player
The $12 monthly ad-free package is already overpriced, but what really made me leave this review was the 7-day Rick Grimes event. I was close to completing every challenge when, on Day 6, the developers changed one of the requirements. It originally required promoting a character to 1 star, but it was changed to upgrading a character 35 times. I reported the issue and received no response. Changing event requirements after players have already invested time and resources is unfair. If I don’t receive Rick Grimes, this review will stay. Edit: they did gave me the Rick Grimes and for this I give them 4 stars out of 5. Still fun game.
Ok game but…
It’s ad and pay-to-win hell. Constant ad popups. Typical strength rating req. per fight and pushed to buy upgrades just to complete the next map, otherwise you have to grind heavily. And random combat ability rolls are typically horrible choices, and make watching ads a must if you want better abilities to win.

read #2 for review #1. i’m having trouble with the supply station in the base, i have everything unlocked and im on stage 28 but the supply station is still locked. idk what to do. #2. the game isn’t bad at all. yeah it’s got the classic buy this watch this ad thing going but beyond that it’s a fun time killer with cool character abilities.

Was a good game
The thing that sucked the most was the constant ads, but that I was OK with because I really liked the game. And then they just started updating it. Some things were good but it’s one of the things was how you combine the equipment. So it’s already hard enough to get the equipment so it was kind of nice that you’re able to combine whatever and get it going and they just made an Update to make it where you know you need the same pieces of equipment to combined with higher level Gear, which is incredibly difficult to get and takes Forever. I just got one piece the other day by combining two different pieces and I finally got the piece of equipment. I needed to do it for my helmet and now they done it this way, which is gonna take me forever to get there another piece of the same Gear. So I’m quitting the game and I’m just not gonna put my energy in it because it’s already hard enough to get it. They have a game going on where you have to pay rubies to do pulls. And it stopped on the higher reward and a few seconds goes by where nothing happens then it ticks over and stops on a lesser reward. Which I had plenty of the ones with different lesser rewards and it never did that. It was a pretty decent game overall, but it really drives a paid to win type of thing behind it just like any of the other games I guess but this one’s kind of making you want to do that so I appreciate being able to enjoy the game for as long as I did which was not really that long.

The game is decent. If you like playing the same level nonstop day after day for points to level character, or if you have super deep pockets. Don’t plan on progressing far if you aren’t watching multiple adds and sending crazy money

Your game is quickly becoming dull. I’m getting no progression. You make everything so hard to acquire as far as getting a new characters. I pay for your monthly membership. It seems to give me nothing as far as progressing, even re-rolling skills all I get for defend the gates are dodge chance, health and mines. Which do nothing for defend the gates. I go from 900 points to 200 point. Which the rewards for defend the gate are so minimal anyways. Your game is so stagnant at this point. Also, what’s the point on not letting me get more characters? You make it so freaking difficult to acquire new characters. I spent $50 to get the featured character after 35 tries was turned out to only have a 25% chance. I got a refund, but even Apple claimed that this was not very integral on your part. Let us acquire. We still have to upgrade them. This game seems more like a money grab than you wanting to make a fun game. Even playing rounds I have to spend 5+ minutes on a round that I’ve already beat, I should just be able to quit beat it using my energy. Especially since I’m paying $10 a month for your membership. I’ve been stuck in the same spot in your game for two weeks. You’ve come out with new characters yet I haven’t acquired any new characters after the first week. I’ve played many of the Walking Dead games and yours is by far the worst!!!

Like a poor man’s Archerio
It’s fun but it gets pretty mundane quickly, every missions seems to follow the same format. Survive 5 min then finish enemies off but i find myself bored by half way through. The ads are insane as well, it replays the same ad over and over for well over a minute absolutely not worth doing them. The gem system seems really poor as well, 80 gems to open a crate but 100 to reroll a perk???

Well downloaded the game thinking this would be a fun game but to get some of the items you have to immediately spend money. It’s a sit and wait to see if the game is kind enough to give you something worth it. Nothing has been worth it so far.

Is fun - but pretty low on the playability as you hit walls pretty quick and there are not a lot of game modes and no level re-plays to keep you building and engaged…

Good but unplayable now
Decent mix between roguelike and gatcha. Gatcha elements are pretty underdeveloped as there is no real chance to get anything meaningful. Few characters or unique stats. It’s all heavy grind based. The game itself is fun, though. But since the last update it’s unplayable bc they cranked the difficulty and my characters can’t last more than a minute anymore. Been playing daily for a month but will probably have to stop now.

Needs to be balanced
Started off fun then it’s gotten extremely difficult with no ability to even farm to strengthen up. I don’t even think paying would solve it. Needs a rework on the balancing

It’s not bad
The game wasn’t to bad it’s got its issues like most but it’s really fun and kills time. The grind is really hard kinda kills the fun of the game. Also after the new update I’ve found that the ads they play are wayyyy to long they take like 5 minutes to finish so the devs are just getting money hungry now. It’s a good game if they were to make it so you could pay to remove ads then I’d play it more often then once -twice a day. The games getting really boring and I’ve only played for about a week and a little.
