Great potential
This game is really fun. Like really fun. All the cool upgrades you can get and the fact you can replay and get rewarded with the stars. Only issue is the PVP mode takes super long to rank up and I don’t want to spend hours and hours playing through low ranks just to get to mine. I think once you reach a certain rank, you stay at that rank until you lose enough or you rank up. Thanks for making this game!
Don’t Make MicroTransactions
i got to a point where i felt stuck with progress and just wanted a small crutch, so i bought one of the amber packs (like gems) though it didn’t give them to me. i can press restore purchase but it doesn’t work and now i don’t know if i should uninstall it because of how much that sucks or just keep playing because ive invested money and time now.

I originally gave Viking Hero TD one star, but after spending more time with it, I think that was a little too harsh. I’m changing it to three stars for now because the game actually has a lot of potential. The more I play, the more I’m getting used to the base building, heroes, equipment, upgrades, and overall progression. I actually agree with the developers on one thing: you shouldn’t be able to immediately upgrade everything to Epic or Legendary. Having upgrades take time gives you something to work toward and keeps you from finishing everything too quickly. The actual gameplay is pretty enjoyable too. Building your base during the day and then controlling your hero while defending it at night is a cool combination. The maps also make you think about where you’re putting your defenses instead of just upgrading everything and hoping for the best. Funny enough, this has also become a really good treadmill game for me. I can put it on while I’m walking and get so focused on playing that I stop paying attention to how long I’ve been on the treadmill. If you’re looking for something to play while doing a slower treadmill walk, I actually recommend trying it. Just obviously pay attention to what you’re doing and don’t get so distracted that you walk off the treadmill. My biggest complaint has not changed though: the in-app purchase prices are way too high. I understand that this is being developed by a small team and they need to make money to continue developing the game. I have no problem supporting smaller developers, especially when I can see potential in what they’re making. But some of these prices are extremely difficult to justify for a mobile game. $10, $20, $25 and even higher-priced packs are a lot of money for what you actually receive. The same goes for paying to remove ads. I would probably spend more money on this game over time if individual purchases were reasonably priced. At the current prices, I can’t recommend buying anything. That’s actually my biggest suggestion to the developers. Lower the prices. A larger number of players buying reasonably priced packs could be better than relying on a smaller number of people willing to spend $20, $25 or more at once. So my opinion has definitely improved. I went from one star to three stars, and I’m going to keep playing. There is a genuinely good game here and I’m interested in seeing what the developers do with it. For now, I recommend playing Viking Hero TD, but I do not recommend spending money on the in-app purchases at their current prices. I’ll come back and update this review again after another week or two of playing and after seeing what future updates bring. If the game continues improving, I could definitely see myself raising the rating again.

Predatory endless ads
Easy 1 star for the multi minute, repetitive, deceptive, predatory gambling ads on a kid game. Nothing but 1-2 minute unskippable kalshi ads playing the same 10 second video on repeat. Pathetic and digusting

Complete ripoff of other games, just with old school graphics
Needs update
Way to hard to get coins for upgrades. Makes some of the levels impossible without waiting for the free coins everyday.

Perfect TD
I never write app reviews, I think this is my first. But I have to. This game is too good. It’s everything you want in a mobile TD game. Different of building/tower types, as well as abilities, and upgrade trees to increase the variety, and new enemies appearing in new levels. Very importantly, each level is different, it’s not just the same boring single lane level over and over again, so it’s not repetitive at all. And my favorite thing about the game… NO FORCED ADS. Great game, I’ve been hooked.

Love pretty much all the games Simplebit makes. Would be a 5 star rating but for some reason just for a day now it’s causing issues with my Game Center account when I try to get into PVP mode. I am sure it will be fixed soon…..

You have to really grind or spend money to beat certain levels, it’s gay

普通に面白いゲームだが、途中から敵が硬くなりすぎていて、戦略だけではどうにもならないものがある。 それなのに、強化に必要なコインを入手する手段が乏しいため、行き詰まるとかなりやれることがなくなってしまう。 上記の内容を差し引けばそれなりに楽しめました。

One issue
Games great, it provides everything it says it does. But please, DELETE THE KALSHI GAMBLING ADS!! You can’t close them, therefore you have to restart every time you get it. I’ve lost some much progress because of this ad. PLEASE get rid of it if possible

Good mechanics. Grinding rewards are way too low. Needs daily quests. Maybe permanent bonuses if I watch tons of ads.

This game has been phenomenal! I currently am on level 4 of chapter 1 but so far it’s been an absolute masterpiece. Yes it does take skill and yes it is challenging but over all I give this game a solid 4 out of 4 stars but that’s just me. Edit. So I’ve made it to the later levels where I am at a lava biome and I honestly think that it’s very challenging still I love the game but I just wish that those later levels could be easier.
Pay to win after a while
Playing and was enjoying the game in until the last patch. Why no ad for gold chest? Gold rush is almost impossible on level 28. Felt like it just either grind for money or pay for it.
Idea since you’re still in beta
Love the idea but the pvp is kinda confusing i dont see how theres any competition to it. My idea/solution: pvp same idea building your village up round by round but 2 minute turns to decide what to build, round starts screen widens you see both villages, goal defeat other village first with strategy some using tower heavy strats to defend and some with more troops to overwhelm the enemy, just a idea tho from consumer to developer🙌🏻god bless most success🙏🏼
Fun game but….
Love the game! Very time consuming to level up and enemies get way too strong to complete blood trials if your character is weak. Would like to replay levels but gold is set so little as reward. Gold is required to level up character and not enough items/weapons earned to help you dismantle during replay of levels. Excellent game but need lots of time to play. Please consider devs a new reward system when grinding.

Some of the levels are too hard to beat. Chapter 2 lvl 1 is insanely challenging and I’ve been going at it for about 3 days…. I’ll give it a 5 star once that level becomes easier.
Great Game
Best game I’ve played on mobile in a while. Super addictive and good to grind, lots of stuff to do. I think it would be really cool if the tower placements and options were up to the players so we can build our own strategies and have a little more freedom. I know this comes with balancing issues but i think it can really help replayability.

This game doesn’t suck
Most mobile games these days suck bc they are poorly made or have so many adds you can’t enjoy it (sometimes both)this is 1 made so nicely I love the graphics and gameplay and there is rarely any adds the only thing is it doesn’t save your progress so if you need to get off you’re phone then you need to pause it so if y’all could change that this game would be the best.
My new favorite game
This game is so addicting if you enjoy tower defense games. It’s simple, unique, and challenges you to try harder levels. The blessings system during each level is personally one of my favorite parts that I really enjoy. Highly recommend playing it.
Even with the update the game is still too hard…
Am I doing something wrong? I prioritize maxing economy early game where the hero can do all the DPS and I invest in archers and warriors to help in sides I don’t send the hero to. I made it to the 2nd world and the first level is genuinely unbeatable. I hope I get to see the rest of this game one day but until then I’m capped at 2-1.
