Description
Rockup is the local messenger. An app to solve any local problem together with your neighbors.
Rockup connects you to the people around you — the ones who live on your floor, your street, your block. Not through posts or feeds, but through live chats tied to where you actually are.
Suspicious activity outside? A neighbor already flagged it. Power outage? Your building chat has the safety alert before the utility company does. Strange noise at 2 AM? You're not the only one who heard it.
How it works
Rockup creates group chats around real locations — your building, your street, your neighborhood. Step into an area, you're in the chat. Leave, and you're out. No setup, no invites, no friend requests.
What neighbors use it for
Flagging suspicious activity so others stay alert
Checking if something unusual is just them or the whole block
Getting real-time updates during outages, floods, fires or emergencies
Keeping an eye on the street together — especially after dark
Why it works
The people most useful to you in a moment of uncertainty are the ones standing closest. Not a search engine, not a city page updated last Tuesday — the person three doors down who can see the same thing you can.
No profiles. No followers. No feed. Just a direct line to the people around you, right when it matters.
