Not optimized for new iPhones and iPad
It’s really a shame that this app, with such great content, hasn’t been optimized for new iPhones (X or newer) or iPads. It’s been almost 4 years this way, which makes the app look awful in 2021.

Was good a long time ago
In general the concept of the app to read reports and articles without commercials is very good. Unfortunately the reports and articles feel more and more ‚like old man’s thinking‘ - sometimes with some luck you can still find valuable insights, but more and more articles sound like the same old story with some new color graphs (e.g. oil, gas, H2, future of the ICE car, CCS in different variants … 🥱).
Great content but app doesn’t function
I’ve been using this app for a few years and love the content. Recently the app has been failing to either open or open articles meaning that I have to use the browser instead.
Amazing
The App and content is superb. This should be a model app for all other media or Newspaper apps. The design the transitions and graphs is an art. The designers and developers take the credit. Well done 👍🏼
Can’t download pdf
Pdf file seems to be created but it downloads as 3 text files with no content. Pls fix

why do I need a password like it’s my banking app? The apple generated strong password doesn’t even meet the password criteria. Hummmm.
Cannot add article to Saved List after latest app update
I updated the app with its latest version on June 25, 21. Since then, I cannot save articles to the Saved list. It gives the error “Index (zero bases) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.” Not a pleasant user experience. Is there a way to go back to the previous app version?

Bookmarked reading list reset
The recent App update has reset my bookmarked reading list. Kindly assist in restoring back the original. Updated on 3/12/2020. Issue with bookmarks still persist. It’s so annoying as I am unable to view my saved articles. I am also not able to save any new articles to my reading list.
Saving to reading list not working
In latest version, saving an article via the bookmark icon is not working at all. Can you please assist?
Very buggy
Great content but sadly very let down by a very buggy app. It freezes frequently and never remembers your log in details.

Great content but the app is still not optimized for the 11" iPad Pro.
Good app
I’m a avid reader of McKinsey insights for keeping up with ever changing business environments. The app gives access to quality insights. The only problem is the way app UI scales ok iPhone 11. Some of the buttons are unresponsive because of this scaling issue.
Suffering from old age
This app is suffering from old age. It does not support iPad Pro (11 and 12.9inch) and the links don’t always work. May as well use the web browser.

Articles Will Not Load
Click and article....it just loads. Forever. Doesn’t work on WiFi or on AT&T 5Ge network. Disappointing.
iPhone 10 & 11 screen issues
Great app with invaluable content. My only issue, and message to the product team, is to optimize the app for the newer iPhones. I am on an 11 Pro and the app menu appears high up and too close to the edge which makes it impossible to tap on or irresponsive at times. It also overlaps with the system ‘previous app’ button on the same top left corner. To fix this, allow for about 4px margin from top so as to clear from system items on this newer aspect ratios.
Broken links & disconnection
The current app or server response has continual broken, disconnected or asking “try again” .... Please improve.

Pretty good content, better if easier to read
I often read their articles in the evening. The content is pretty inspiring and insightful. The one thing I would do better is introducing a dark reader mode, like how “Medium” do it.
Great articles but poor speed
Not sure if it’s just me, but articles and interfaces often take forever to load. Pages featuring specific topics do not sync with the browser / website version.
Amazing content but optimization required
The content and features absolutely deserve a 5-star. However, to bring more attention to the issue, I give 3 stars as the iPad application is not well optimized for iPad Pro 11 inch. To be specific, the display of the app does not fit the 11 inch well—there are always black borders around the app when running on iPad Pro 11 inch. Hope this can be addressed ASAP
Great Insights and App
A lot of Apps could take a page from McKinsey. They do three things REALLY WELL: 1. App is simple - and content is very rich and relevant. 2. App allows for deep customization to your interests, but although McKinsey makes you register, they DO NOT bother you with endless requests and spam. 3. They also Listen to their users and continuously improve both functionality and ability to simply engage. If you are a business leader, consultant, or just a “student of global business”, if you had to choose one App, this would be it!

Can't change font size. No organization. Seems to be missing articles from the magazine.

Gave it a four star rating because is limits the sharing options, would love to see Whatsapp and FB Messenger as options.

Content Good, Speed Bad
The content that the app connects you to is really very good. It's why I downloaded the app in the first place. The basic approach is simple straightforward and effective. The problem I have with it is that it is so slow to load, especially the individual articles. Sometimes they don't load at all. I have better luck just going to the website.

This app is as irrelevant as McKinsey itself has become over the past few years. They really can't set the bar much lower than this tripe.
Excellent
I love this app. Very simple design flow, VERY smooth user interface and it just works. Just wish it had save to pocket but otherwise it's worth the download 👍🙌.
Needs improvement
Lacks iPhone X support There is no twitter connection, still asks for the iOS 7 login method...
Articles won't load
I like the app, but there seems to be a bug where articles only load on the bookmarks page.

App has a good collection of content and the writers are doing a good job! One request is to please optimize the app for iphone X. Been eagerly waiting for the update and it is the only app I use that isn’t optimized.
Poor app
Crash when connecting to LinkedIn. Slow. iPhone 6, latest iOS updates.
Still no save to Pocket
I rely on Pocket to catch up on off-line reading during available times. A direct save to pocket (and likely some similar reader apps) would give the app 5 stars. Meanwhile, as a workaround pocket users can email articles to their account using the add@getpocket address.
Lack luster and requires updates
It's a unique type of disappointment - great content wrapped in a really poor user experience. There is a significant gap in quality between the Insights web and app experience. Also, there are many usability, functional, and device support issues.
General comment
So many articles lack any decent content. They’re full of high level waffle that leaves the reader frustrated at the lack of substance. I’m not far off deleting the app.
