Worst app ever
Please change your app team, this app is really sucks unable to change the club, you should learn from Fitness first
Not user friendly
The app often has technical glitches, there’s only a tiny subset on online/in app classes and it’s hard to give feedback and find things. I far preferred the old app. I also long to be able to manage my classes on desktop. I wish we could go back to the previous system
Great app but bring back workout buddies!!
It would be great to book classes with friends like you could with the old app!!
Functionalities not there
No booking buddies, have to open app to check-in, difficult to filter classes between clubs, cannot check booking history, tier benefits are basically useless
It’s okay
Like the rewards but I just wish that the notifications for sessions were a reminder at least a day before and not just one a few hours before. It’s a bit glitchy with the card sometimes too but other than that it’s okay.

Was good - is no more
I initially thought the app worked well. Unsure what’s happened , however the app is now rubbish . Never loads properly; have tried to rest password and now locked out . Hopefully it will improve soon.
Glitches
New to the gym on my third week now and noticed that in the rewards it wouldn’t have recorded me attending class or at the gym half the time. However when asked at reception at least it has my attendance recorded down. Otherwise no issues with the app.
app ux
I don’t need to see stock photos of people working out. I need to see the timetable and book a class, both tasks take four navigations from the Home Screen to complete. This app is worse than some 90s websites.
Too messy
To messy and cluttered with information on home page. Too many clicks needed to navigate. Too many steps to get to the book class and annoying to each time having to filter classes (why can’t it just save my selections) And annoying you can no longer add check in to wallet. The biggest problem with classes are that they get full a week out. Then 30% cancel them late the night before or morning of. The app still doesn’t solve this annoying problem.

Some worst UX out there
Some of the worst UX I’ve seen recent years. - it always logs me out so I can’t enter the gym - relaunching the app doesn’t help - you need to reinstall it - UI is counter intuitive and hard to navigate - classes time doesn’t display properly so I can only guess what time is the class that I book - it displays information for Indian time zone not Australian - it shows some special characters instead of proper texts - worst thing is that they try to sell you some partner products via this app I am literally one step away from canceling my membership with these guys
Virgin Active gym
I love virgin active. The best gym ever with all required facilities and training equipment, classes not just for exercise and training but also for recovery. The only downfall is they need more attention on the cleanliness and hygiene of gym. The toilets can be so gross and staffs need professional cleaning there.
Not As Good As Previous
No more booking buddies, no more entry via Apple Wallet Card and the layout of the timetable is much harder to navigate. The only 2 pluses are: the waitlist now works and auto adds you in / tells you what number in the queue you’re in for the waitlist and also the rewards system. But please please bring back the booking buddies system and a better view of the classes timetable.
Great rewards, but missing the features that made it feel like a community
I really like the new reward system, it’s motivating and adds a fun element to staying consistent. However, the app has become harder to use in a few key ways. Previously, it was so convenient being able to scan into the gym using Apple Wallet. Having to open the app every time now feels clunky and unnecessary. The biggest disappointment, though, is the removal of booking buddies. Not being able to see which classes my friends are booked into, or book on their behalf, takes away the collaborative and social experience that made the app feel like a real community. This was genuinely one of the best features it kept us engaged and excited to come to classes together. Please consider bringing back booking buddies and the community-focused elements. They made such a huge difference and really elevated the entire experience.

Virgin active zetland weights equipment hasn’t been upgraded in nearly 10 years yet you spend a ridiculous amount of money on a work from home space. During peak hours there are barely 9 benches in front of dumbbells.

Unusable
The timetable doesn’t show complete times, eg “09:” times are truncated as they don’t fit in the allocated space meaning that you don’t know what time the classes are! Too much space given to feature images rather than my information, would love to see more detail on my classes booked rather than a picture of a random person. Booking buddies functionality that was on the website needs to come back this is such an important feature and builds important relationships within the gym that encourage you to go more and enjoy your workout more.

Please review the feedback and make this easier to use! Also all the classes I booked on the old app that were upcoming were wiped. Can’t see them in my bookings.

The worst app
As a VA customer you have to use this app and none of the features work properly! Booking a class, view your bookings, on demand videos are really badly designed. VA ditched a quite well functioning mylocker website to an almost unusable app!

Dodgy update fail app + lethargic response
I have delayed posting as a longstanding member of a gym I otherwise love (in spite of the fact that the spa has also been faulty for many months now). The so called app "update" 3 weeks ago now means that I can no longer book classes - bummer. I guess I could join my employer's gym pass scheme. Cheaper for sure. Requests for a discount or even free coffee were ignored... not happy.

Add apple wallet support back please so I can get in faster and use my Watch!!!

Great app. The only chg I would like is when you book a class to still be able to see how many people have booked into that class

Rewards tiers don’t work, navigation isn’t intuitive, clicking on notifications outside the app takes you to the wrong place in the app. Needs improvement
Downgrade from MyLocker
This app has been a nightmare. Unable to add it to my Wallet or Apple watch. It’s really annoying to open an app while I’m stepping into the gym. Unable to add classes to Google Calendar like I used to. Also got reminders from the app just 3 hours before the class which is useless like I got reminders at 2am for early morning sessions. Bring back Mylocker
Website somehow better
Can’t get invoices directly through the app and they shut the website down too? Now I have to contact the staff to manually do this for me? Checked if my app was up to date and checked if i was missing anything and i wasn’t. Only thing they forgot was their brain making this app. Great use of resources and forcing everyone to use your app. Member tier system is stupid, I’ve been a member since 2019 and go 5-6 times a day and you start me at bronze with no compensation? This gym is one of the most expensive in Australia and they do all this but can’t clean a sauna? I would give this app 0 stars if i could. For the rate we pay (that keeps increasing for no rewarding reasons) is pathetic. Love the Virgin brand but what’s the excuse for this?
