So far
Working well so far, but please add an option to be able to share an image from the share sheet! Thank you
Too many errors
When I try to use AI translator to translate the flash card automatically it always shows “something went wrong - error”, so I have to close the app and open it again, it’s way too annoying, especially mentioning that it’s not a free version. Also the first texts was translated normally like word by word, but now it’s letter by letter, so the 汉字 doesn’t make the whole words, they are translated one by one and you can’t just add the flash card simply by pressing the word. It’s not convenient at all
Timely response and problem solution from Novli team
My previous issue has been resolved and I am satisfied with timely problem solving from Novli team. The founder was very helpful in making things right. I really appreciate the support and the extra month they provided. So, I have changed my rating accordingly. So, hopefully, this would help clear my old review.
Одно бесплатное сканирование
Не тратьте время. Дает одно бесплатное сканирование. И триал с последующей подпиской. Это точно не тот функционал, за который сразу платить.
Awesome but two major flaws
1. You have to assign each word later to the flashcard, you can’t bulk assign all words from a textbook photo (which is my main use for this app) to a flashcard, what a nightmare it takes like hours to assign each word individually = first dealbreaker 2. You can’t export the content/flashcards out of the iPhone = another dealbraker since I want to be able re use the Novli flashcard material including audio, exemples, stroke order, pinyin etc on my MacBook / in my own coded app to train harder there and re use this content like my own API. I’ll put 5 stars when these features are added.
Love this app!
Love this app, is speeds up my Chinese learning a lot!
Review
Great app but it will be better if they add the grammatical nature of words, that could help with learning grammar
C bien mais…
Novli est vraiment ce que j’ai besoin mais pour scanner on peut que utiliser une seul fois sans payer? Je paye jamais sur les app c’est pour cela j’ai mis un 3 étoiles à la place de 5
10/10
so worth it! good price and effective.
😭
Hello! I don’t know what’s the problem. I downloaded the app but cannot open it. It’s just white screen and loading sign. I tried with vpn and without, but it’s not working 😭
Best app for learning Mandarin
If you are learning to read Chinese, you NEED this app. It is absolutely great for learning new vocabulary and reading when you can’t understand a book. It explains the vocabulary, and you can also use flashcards. Great app!
Not available in my region
This seems to be a good app but I can’t use it(
Best Translating App!
I have been studying to read Mandarin for the past 6 years and have been using Google and Baidu to translate. While both apps are good, before Novli I always wanted to just tap on a character and learn its root to better understand what I am reading and saying. Novli does this and has great pronunciation capabilities. Highly recommend to anyone learning. The only recommendation I have for the developers is to have a function where a character/pinyin can be typed with same capabilities as when scanning. Other than that I’m hooked, I use it everyday. Thank you Novli!
does not work in my region
I tried to use it, but the app said, that the app can’t be used in my region. But I can’t find any descriptions about restrictions.
The last Chinese app you need
Downloaded this, and after 3 days I promptly deleted all my other Chinese apps. I’ve tried The Chairman’s Bao, Clozemaster, and LingQ, but Readly is by far the most effective for reading. It’s easy to use, doesn’t require a vpn, and has a scan function that picks up traditional characters as well as calligraphy. Highly recommend for anybody who reads a lot or wants to read more in Chinese.
Time saver
I used to manually look up words and add them to Anki… this app does it all for me in seconds. I'm now even learning the most native Chinese expressions from rednote thanks to this app lol
Brilliant app!
Functionality and design are great! Makes reading Chinese so much easier.
Save me a lot of time
Saves me a lot of time looking up words and pinyin. Love the flashcards too!
Game changer!
I’m using this app to help me with learning from the Chinese breeze. It’s making my life so much easier lol
