1. Despite being exclusively app banking there is no secure method of contacting LHV customer service. 2. The linked savings account generates no transaction history you can look at. 3. If you close the savings account there’s nothing there show it ever existed. HMRC will love that. App banking designed by a student. How could you get a banking licence with this abomination?
Must install a delete payee option. 🙏
Today, I nearly transferred funds to the wrong account, purely for the want of being able to delete an old payee. My bad, but come on LHV, it can’t be that difficult. On every other banking facility I use, you can easily delete old payees.
App not so good at remembering you !
Each month when I log in it doesn’t recognise my pin or Touch ID so I have to remove app, download again and reset up my ID.. not good
Best interest rate on a current account
Best interest rate on a bank current account, but with a flaw. 1. You can’t setup standing orders (yet), although you can setup direct debits.
Minimal, seamless and good rates
Really happy with the good rates. Also pleased the transactions UI has now improved and the app offers search.

They even limit daily n monthly amount you can withdraw YOUR money!

It was easy to open and operate my account. However, I have too many accounts, so when interest rates drop, I close accounts.
Basic needs majorly updating
Basic and simple
No standing orders but competitive interest rates.
Competitive interest rates, but this fails as a current account due to the lack of a standing order/scheduled payment facility. LHV’s core infrastructure provider (Tuum) has a native standing order API ready to use out-of-the-box, but LHV UK has chosen not to activate it for retail customers. This means you will need a separate account with another bank to hold your money for standing orders.

Very basic and lacking functionality
Clean and Simple
A surprisingly clean and modern UI which is refreshing to use. The bonus of great savings rates and interest on balance is also perfect. Just need minor improvements like deleting payees, nicknaming payees and standing orders. Enjoyable to use thus far!
No standing order ability
Ok app but there is no way of setting up standing orders I.e there is no way to setup a payment to another bank account to happen automatically every month:

Excellent, easy to use ,and worthwhile interest payments
Avoid read some of the negative reviews they are true.
No warning, just blocked my card and locked me out my app. No phone line and a 4 day wait on an email responce. This is third world banking and read all the negative reviews before you trust thus lot with your money. It has good interest until you want to move money out to your linked U.K. bank. Forget it. It happened 2 months ago and all I got was fill out a form and we will get back to you in a day or 2. Try 4 days. I was trying to buy a car. Now again yesterday trying to move money to buy something again and I’m now locked out. Suspicious activity!!! I’m moving money to my one and only U.k linked account!!! Again please send us an email and we will get back to you next week as it’s now Friday and we don’t work weekends. I’m closing this account down. A bit less interest elsewhere but at least I can access it or phone someone to unblock my account.
Convenient basic banking
So far I have had no issues with this bank in terms of deposits and withdrawals. It’s fully regulated & FSCS backed, so I’m confident my money is safe. The app provides simple basic banking in a clear format, though I’m using it primarily to hold savings due to the favourable interest rates at the moment. What is letting it down currently is the support side, which is by email, and so far unresponsive in my case. Having read other reviews, I would not yet feel confident to use it as my main bank for regular transactions/direct debits etc. I know it’s early days and improvements/updates are ongoing, but the bank must be missing out on millions because of relatively cheap improvements that could be made to the ux/ui. I would like to see my balance and account details on one page for instance. Hopefully I can give it five stars soon once it’s effectively supported.
Great rate but virtually non existent customer support
This account gives a great rates but I’ve been trying for a week to withdraw some money and nothing happens. I’ve been emailing for over a week, I’ve had limited replies from nameless individuals and I’m still without the ability to withdraw. Just not good enough. No number to call.
Not great atm
App is somewhat lacking in basic features. You can’t set up standing orders for example. Most other bans also provide pots within account to allow saving for certain projects etc. None of this in LHV! In reality, the bank launched without being ready for everyday banking imo. Promised features will start to become available, but no timescale mentioned.

A interest paying current account is a outstanding service only provided by LHV in the UK. This is a perfect «one account for everything» pitch. However app does need some improvement. Among those: Being able to view direct debits Being able to set up standing orders Open banking access (e.g. for integration with Monzo) Instant payments made more consistent More utility providers to recognise LHV sort code as valid for direct debit Whilst the pain points would be deal breakers in the long term, I have faith they can be iterated and improved upon.
A Current Account that does not support Standing Orders 🤦🏽♂️
Opened this account as it offers great interest rates only to discover that it does not support standing orders - what was the company thinking when they opened up for business 🤦🏽♂️ They don’t offer a Switch service either

Bank is great, App is dreadful
I have found opening a new account online very easy and the interest rate is competitive. However, the App is a waste of time. Every time I log in it says there is an error and it won’t recognise my passcode or fingerprint so I have to keep resetting it. Please sort this out ASAP.
Decent Digital Bank
I have been with LHV for 5 months now and they have not disappointed. Interest rates for current account and savings are really good and its a good bank to be with if you wish to earn interest on high balances. Customer service may be a little bit slow at some times, no standing orders yet, faster payments sent on weekends may not be processed until the next working day, however, they are still an upcoming bank and still improving. Overdrafts should be offered very soon as well and I am very excited to see what else LHV have to offer in the future.
Unable to call support
Communication is one sided. They state that if you request a call back from their support team via email, they will call. They do not. I have requested two times now and have waited the allotted time of 48 hours with no call on both occasions. A simple phone call would resolve the issue simply. App is currently unusable for me
Very basic account but high interest rates
Easy to open, high interest rates, no charge for using card abroad, however, the app and features available are very basic. no easy way to pay in or pay someone, can not save people you pay. Virtual cards available. Can not search for a transaction. no isa, no overdraft, just current account or savings account. like many of the online only banks, can only be used on one device. support is available only from monday to friday 9-5, you email them to arrange a callback, in app support is in the works.
Just what I was looking for
I previously had an app only Chase account with great interest rates on current and savings accounts but of course, as with all banks, the existing customers lose all the benefits after some time 🤬. New customers get all the great rates. I have opened my account with LHV just now. It took about 5 minutes and I have already transferred the balance of my current account so it’s already earning interest. Very easy and straightforward process, completely satisfied. Recommend 😊
No Response
Applied for a current account almost two weeks ago. No confirmation email of the application, no updates on account review process, no news whatsoever. Stuck in awaiting manual review. Pointless app / process and no obvious way to withdraw an application.
No search facility
I’m disappointed that I can’t see a way of searching my transactions for a particular one without scrolling through them all

App doesn’t work, avoid!
I’ve tried to open an easy access savings account, but the app doesn’t even let you get that far- the verification code via SMS doesn’t go through! After attempting 5 times and getting nowhere, I gave up. No way would I trust such a glitchy app with my money! Avoid!
Face ID not working
Nice app with good interest on current account. Unfortunately Face ID doesn’t work on my iPhone Air. It is selected. Also can’t send money to friends via PayPal.
Excellent onboarding experience and rates. However, lack of features and poor UI
The app is clean and easy to use. I am particularly impressed by the ease of the onboarding experience. It took me ~ 10 minutes to open the account and have money deposited in it. Feature set currently quite limited, but was attracted by the 4% rate. UI/UX needs some work. The single button at the bottom is confusing. Some of the pages also feel overly minimalist. An interesting newcomer, but half-baked right now.
At the moment useless
I opened an account with LHV mainly to use it abroad, based of the information provided on website and guess what: first trip away and.....3 times transactions declined! I was lucky to have Revolut with me.
Barebones
A smooth but barebones app lacking features. Needs a lot of work to catch up with the competition.
