I’m getting hallucinations
It was a sunny afternoon and I was scrolling in YouTube, like normal. The next Nintendo Direct had just been announced, and I realized; the only reason people know about the Nintendo Direct was because of Nintendo Today. That’s where the announcement came first. So I decided to give it a try. After struggling for 5 minutes, I closed YouTube and went into the App Store. I downloaded the app, set it up, and everything was great. A few hours later, I went to go get some pizza for a party I was throwing later. On my way to the pizza place, I looked out my car window and saw a fire hydrant. But this fire hydrant was not a normal fire hydrant. It had the face of Mario. I blinked. It was still there. Nobody was in the road, so I pulled over to look at this anomaly. Right as I stepped out, I heard it say, “It’s-a-me, Mario!” Shocked, I stumbled back to my car and kept driving. But every fire hydrant I saw from that point had the face of Mario. I tried taking a video of it and sending it to my friend, but he said it was just a normal fire hydrant. I was extremely puzzled. After I got my pizzas, I checked the boxes to make sure they were all accounted for. But believe it or not, one of the pizzas, (specifically Neapolitan) had its toppings arranged in such a way that looked like Super Mario. I heard it say, “Hello little stylus!” I screamed, and threw the pizza at the wall where nobody could hear it. It kept screaming and saying nonsense, even on the wall. I recorded the entire thing, but when I sent it to my friends, they all heard nothing and called me crazy. I threw my phone in rage. I debated them, because I know I am a sane man. But then I realized, this was all this app’s fault. I never got hallucinations like this before downloading this app. And so, I deleted the app. But the hallucinations won’t go away. My friends don’t like me anymore and my family won’t talk to me. I keep thinking the planes in the sky are actually Arwings and the moon is crashing down wearing a horrible face. Don’t download, for your own sanity.
Who tf wants themes in a News app?!
We’ve been asking, pleading, BEGGING Nintendo for themes on their flagship product, the Switch, for nearly ten years now! But no, we get themes for a friggin news app. You earned this one star review through your OUTSTANDING attention to detail, Nintendo. Congrats!
Love this app
I love this app a lot, I love to see the animations for every day but my only problem is there is no iPad version
Limited themes
Dear Nintendo Today!, where on earth is Star Fox?
Ok but I have one thing
Can you PLEASE add the ability to search for other content apart from news (like comic strips)? Thank you!
Very cool app
Really enjoying this app. It’s like a little Nintendo power straight to your phone every day!
Please adapt to iPad.
Please adapt to iPad. If you have an iPad version, please adapt the app to iPad.
It is so annoying but the app is good
I have been using this app for a few days and every time I see the news it just stops please fix it but I love this app
🤦
This app is so ironic. Ever since its release nothing important gets revealed before it gets leaked.
Lackluster source of information for new games.
The English Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave content is extremely lackluster and barebones compared to the japanese Nintendo Today app & Twitter. This is supposed to be our only source of information outside of trailers too. Confusing UI too.
Good
I look forward to looking at it every day
Great
Good
Stop updating
Good buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it updates soooooo often and I have it set up to my calendar and so i rely on it to show me what to do that day but with all these updates… I really don’t know
iPad
i’ve tried using this app, but the fact that it’s still not iPad compatible is extremely frustrating. 😒
Some what good?
I downloaded and that ,but it keeps FREEZING UP. I need y’all to fix, cause it is not just me. I read the reviews and some people have the same problem.
my Nintendo Today! review
I love this so much because it helps me keep track and notify me when new games or updates or when sequel games come out
Why?!
This is a terrible app and pointless this is all information you should be getting on the actual switch in the news section. Why am I having to download a separate app OTHER THAN THE NINTENDO SWITCH APP I ALREADY HAD TO DOWNLOAD. Y’all are really outta pocket with this one. Bad. Bad Nintendo. No biscuit.
(this is short I promise)
Amazing app!!! If you want to be in the know about all Nintendo, this is the app!… well if you have a Nintendo online membership. Now that Nintendo’s raising prices (including the membership), it’s better to get it now than later. One note though, why isn’t there a Pokémon theme? It is Pokémon’s 30th anniversary! Overall good app, but you need a membership.
Updates too often
This app has too many updates. The widgets do not work unless you update so it’s painful. They should also put all the features in one app. Why do I need multiple Nintendo apps on my phone?
Good but could use a IPad version
I love it but it looks slightly weird on an iPad screen please add a IPad app it would be a great help many thanks ThomasTheCat
nice app lol
cool and fun app, the kirby theme always has been my favorite lol (how is this app already 1 year old lol)
Meh
I’m not going to open this app ever, so now all my Nintendo news is harder to verify. Just also post this news elsewhere.
Great but could use some improvements
I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now, and here’s my review. I love the comics, along with the Nintendo 365 feature. I love being able to get news from my favorite games on the go. The themes are very well made. But I wish there were more themes (cmon Nintendo where’s the Tomodachi life theme). Also I wish Nintendo 365 displayed more than one game that released on said day. But other than that it’s great.
its fine
its a nice app, i looove the pikmin calendar, but i really hate having to update the app to see the calendar widget. i have to update the app almost every week or so otherwise the calendar just completely stops being visible. really annoying especially when i cant update the app (wifi/data issues)
🫤
It wouldn’t give me the verification code to sign in
Nintendo Today app is an awesome!
Nintendo Today app is an awesome!
Good luck using this if you have a Nintendo account
Has someone who doesn’t want to log into something I am very angry. Basically, you have to login for everything these days and also I feel like this will be shut down eventually making this app useless Enjoy it while it lasts
AMAZING! But has a huge problem!
I LOVE NINTENDO TODAY! I love Nintendo, I love the Switch, I love EVERYTHING! But… every time I scroll down, the entire app hangs. Just- boom, frozen. I have to force quit and then wait for the cache to empty! I’ve tried submitting a bug report but apparently the servers are “under maintenance”. This also was the case when I tried submitting a request for a Metroid-styled theme. Fix this crash and I’ll review five stars!
Can’t share or screenshot
There’s no way to share this content with others or even screenshot it for later. Lay off on the security Nintendo
Alright but not replace directs alright
It may be more convenient and overall a better way to get information about gaming but I want hype moments and aura farming damnit
BTT
Better then twitter
Blocking captures
Can no longer screenshot things I find interesting for later viewing
It’s a good app for Nintendo news but….
Great app to get your Nintendo news from, however I need to update it every other time I open the app which usually turns me off from using it. Useful app when I do tho
Hospital WiFi
Love the app but not able to use when on hospital WiFi when admitted
Where’s the thank you video of Mario Galaxy Movie????
I just watch tha New Sequel of Mario Movie and I been told there’s a thank you video, but when I tried getting to load it it keeps saying “your internet is down, retry connection!” Can anyone get tha message or is it just me????
I love it 🥷👍
This is great but I wish they had more options for customization and a custom icon but best app ever. 🥷👍🥳😝poyo
disappointed by no screenshots
I have been collecting the mario galaxy movie cards and i want to keep them forever to still remind me of my relentlessness of getting them every single day i open the app. please bring back the screenshots. NO MORE BLACK SCREEN FOR THIS APP.
Good app BUT…
I like the calendar feature on this app and the daily cards are cute too, but I don’t like how sometimes the app cards will feature Japan exclusive content and events when we don’t have access to those things in countries like America for example. I get that Nintendo is a Japanese company but it would be nice to get content specific to the region you’re in. I also think that while the cards are cute having just a few more on there or even some more interactive cards would be nice. Overall I do like the app and the cards remind me of how the Nintendo website was when I was a kid but with the added functionality of a daily calendar. Hopefully more themes can be added soon like maybe a tomodachi life theme or even a fire emblem theme would be nice!
Problematic
It’s a good way of feeding news, but it hasn’t been scaled properly to iPads but also there is no sound on iPad mini when playing content but it does work fine on iPhones hence 2 stars
No Metroid
I have had this app since day one and it’s fun to use and all but I am shocked that there is still no Metroid theme. This is a must. Its one of Nintendos big franchises and yet they have no care for it. we get a Metroid theme I’ll rate it 5 stars.
Pokémon?
I love this app but would love it even more if there were Pokémon on it! We can see stuff for Pokémon games and events but why not have the news and characters on here?
Version Update 2.3
"Now available in Israel"
The super Mario galaxy movie collection card thing
I gave this 4 stars for 3 reasons 1. It doesn’t tell how long the card thing goes for 2. It doesn’t go in order and the last reason is the new news is late sometimes
Cute fun, once
I like the art of the games I’m interested in and some of the content, but I don’t really see why this is needed / as a separate app. Didn’t find myself wanting to ever dip into it
You said title was optional
I think an update removed the ability to screenshot the app. I dont like that. Please revert.
Love it
It’s super fun and it’s cool to see the latest things going on in the world of nentendo. There’s only one thing that could be better. I really hope they add a Pokemon theme soon!
No iPad optimisation
Physically cannot sign in on iPad as can’t select @ symbol. Hard uninstall
RESOLVED - Downloaded Mar10. Sign in not recognized
Downloaded app today from Mar10 day & cards to collect promo for Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Update: created Nintendo id and used that for login, worked. App was somehow not recognizing emails of existing accounts. ——-old I have a my Nintendo account, sign in and password work. Yet it fails when I try to login Nintendo today app. Create account did not work, only emails that my account already exists. App unusable till issue fixed. :(
Calendar support
Would be good if I could integrate my own diary into the app
Okay
I would love the ability to add things into my Apple calendar directly - right now can only display my Apple calendar in the app for some reason!
