This is great!
I am loving this app, even more than the physical version. The only problem I’m having is that there is no explanation or instructions in the app that explain how to unlock new emojis, frames or avatars. I’ve been playing pretty much constantly for weeks now and I haven’t managed to unlock a single one, yet I see players with lower ranks with cool new emojis and avatars all the time. Make it make sense…
Not Even Funny
Concept is great. Too bad the creator doesn’t understand the concept of humor. There is nothing even remotely funny in any of the cards/scenarios that can be combined.
To many ads
I’ve been playing this since it was first released but one of the most recent updates really upset me so I haven’t played in a month. It’s he now constant ads after each game regardless of if I win or lose has made me not want to pay. I don’t want to have to pay for the ads to go away. I liked it better when it was optional to get an additional card or more coins
AD SLOP
It’s a good game overall. Just don’t like how an ad plays every time a game finishes. I understand providing the option to go ad free with a purchase but I’ve never played a game with way too many ads. Make it where it’s like once every 3 games or something.
Lov it, hate it
The game is so much fun! Until it’s not? I was having a blast starting off, cards were new to me, the jokes were fresh. I spent some money, unlocked hundreds of cards, I was STOKED I have yet to play with most of them. I play a good 5-10 games in a row while I wind down and will have the same hand in each of those games. Out of hundreds of cards, I have maybe played with 50, 75 being generous. Often times it’s the same 10-20 cards over and over and OVER again To any curious folk, try it out, it’s still fun. Just don’t spend any money on it. No sense spending cash for cards you will almost never see
Funny and Cool
I never knew this game even existed until I seen an ad about it on IG. This game is funny as hell lol I recommend anybody to download this and play. No exaggeration.

It’s Good but options seem limited
I have been playing for a few days now and games feel really repetitive, the cards that are drawn are almost always the same every game with one or two cards changing at most and when your opponents have a similar hand of cards it gets a little boring seeing the same answers to everything. I think if it shuffled through the base deck better to give a wider variety it would be more fun.
Heres an Idea!
I like the game there are a few bugs and it crashes every once in a while and I feel like there could be more done with season passes and rankings, and I think it would be more beneficial for everybody to make it easier to unlock more emojis and frames and character icons sooner because I’m level 62 and I still have the base set of everything pretty much minus the cards, but my main idea was the ability to create a custom deck out of the cards that you already have so that way you don’t have to deselect an entire group of cards when you don’t want to use a specific couple of cards and that way you can also hand pick your favorite cards to use. I think this would be a lot more fun and slightly more enjoyable.

besides the fact that the game is just yet another cards against humanity clone, the game pairs you with bots that often start the comic off with 2 completely unrelated panels, and then go on to chose the “funniest” third panel randomly. save yourself the time and just play pretend you’re xyzzy for free on the web.
So much potential
This game is good but lacks so much. It’s very bare bones. It needs way more to get anything higher than three stars. 1) The lack of music or atmosphere during matches is so disappointing. You can almost fall asleep its so disengaging. 2) Theres no punishment for people who just let the timer run out. It auto picks their cards or a winner if they are judge. It leads to subpar card combos that you just cant fix with your own. Or a clear winner is beat out by the random selection from the judge timer running out. This is likely due to boosting to get promotions as there is no downside to just starting a game and letting it run on auto pilot. 3) the hand you are dealt always feels the same. There are cards in the base deck that i have yet to see in my hand or anyone ever play. Where are they? Are they actually unlocked or is that a visual glitch? Who knows. The same overplayed cards are always drawn. 4) Lack of game modes or higher stake matches. Theres only one game mode and its first to two wins. Sometimes a match is over instantly in two plays. Would like to see increased margins for wins or a twist for a new game mode. Maybe more card slots on the table instead of three? Or a new hand per round. Something. 5) more interaction with players mid game. Maybe a chat box or emotes for the table. This game has potential it just needs a push to get it going.

This is as good as those old App Store games from the early 2010's. Hilarious, not corporate slop, addictive.
Ads- PATHETIC casino style ripoff
Ruined a potentially great game with intrusive ads. Crazy in app purchases (greed). I regret spending any time in this app. This is insane.

Entirely too many ads. Used to be fun, but not so much anymore more. I did initially pay plenty for game content, but now a long video ad for every round you play? Yeah pass. It was fun while it lasted, but no more.

Ad after every match makes it intolerable
Used to just have to deal with long matches due to all of the bots playing but now with an ad after every single match it is just unplayable.
Needs a better multiplayer
If I wanna play with only one other friend, it’d be nice to have the option to join as a two person group, and then have the option to have the rest of the spots filled by random other players but overall, it is a pretty fun game and quite enjoyable despite that one con hopefully a better way to play with friends comes up if you only wanna play with one friend in a future update
Packs crash
When purchasing or earning packs they crash and you never receive the card. Tired of it happens way too often can’t enjoy the game when you can’t build the deck.
Can’t get daily rewards.
For some reason, I can’t collect a daily reward anymore. Every time I hit the collect button, nothing happens. When I use the double the rewards add, it glitches, and claims that it’s taking time to process my reward. Fix this please.
Tangible & Digital Fun Entertainment
I recently discovered Joking Hazard (received the 10 year old base game for Christmas, let’s just say I live under a rock) and quickly became fascinated by it… and it kind of became an obsession. Then bought half a dozen expansion packs, and through my research for more expansion packs I found this app. Absolutely amazing and time draining, which I love. I find myself disappointed that I did not discover the app a few seasons sooner because I have now missed out on avatars, emojis, & frames I would adore to have access to, ones that I feel express the state of my mind more accurately. Any chance of adding the ability to complete special challenges or tournaments where they can be a reward? Maybe even add them as purchasable in the store?
Ads Just Ruined It
Just deleted the app, as ads now play after every match. Previously if you just wanted the base game you could avoid them. Now that it is every match it’s unplayable without paying.
More starter cards
You get the same 10 cards when you start the game and it gets repetitive cards need to be randomized in your hand better

I was enjoying the game and I watched the ads for new cards sometimes but with the latest update there is now an ad after every game. It’s too much. I will change my review when they change it back to ads optional.
Bug Hazzard!
Great app. I really like the Cyanide and Happiness crew, but this app is so buggy. Sometimes it just won’t open. Sometimes the time has run out and nothing happens. I don’t play a card and someone else won. It would be great if these bugs could be fixed. But the app is really fun!

Nice that it is completely free to play so you don’t have to worry about whales and it’s a nice chill game with no stress or anything

I’m enjoying this game very funny, However I do wish there was an option to play again instead of having to return to the lobby and creating a new game especially when playing with friends If you can make an option for us to play again and or add friends to the game instead of having to send out a code each time
Watch ads for prizes frequently freezes.
Game frequently freezes prior to or after ads for prizes. Ads are also longer than 30 seconds as advertised in-game. Also, it seems like the same card choices recycled over and over again.
It’s enjoyable overall… But
My biggest complaint is, when the timer ends, that’s it. It should end. The amount of people exploiting the timer to get wins is insane! When the judge makes a choice and the timer runs out. That it. Choice made. But the timer will run out there will be 1 player that hasn’t continued or reacted to the final player choice, and it will just sit there… and sit there. Until either they make their final react/continue or every leaves (taking an L) and they get the W by default. Fix the timer. There’s no reason players need to wait after the it’s run out. Times up, next round. It’s really taking the piss out the game. Lastly. People complaining about micro-transactions. You got the game for FREE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THEM TO PLAY THE GAME. You can earn everything just by playing. The are there as an option to get you more cards for your decks and support the devs and content creator. Gaining more cards for your decks does not consist of a “pay 2 win” formula. It does not give you any advantages over other players. It would be the same if you collected the cards just by playing the game, and you’re in a lobby that has a player that’s just played more than you. Relax.
Horrible!
I made it 5 stars so you guys see ! This app involves god and horrible god jokes. Cursing and stuff is ok but including god is not. One of the cards say, “I blame god for this.” For me, this is extremely disrespectful and this app does not deserve the hype it does.
Painfully terrible ads
I’m all for a free double this or that for watching a 30 second ad. So when the app tells me it’s going to be 30 seconds that’s what I expect. Instead I got an ad that took ~30 seconds, that repeated twice (yep 60 seconds) then loaded into a pretend demo thing, gave me an X to finally close the damn thing and it opened the App Store for purchase instead. The App Store was in app mind you, and the close to go back did not work for another 20-40 seconds and finally then the x button closed the ad. Annoying and strange but fine maybe that one add was the issue, NOPE the next add for something entirely different has a massive progress bar that takes 60 seconds of watching it then it loads to a demo too, try to cancel it and App Store that doesn’t close for about 10 seconds. I’ve enjoyed the comic generator and thought a game based off of it would be fun but the gameplay wasn’t that fun and the ad hell makes it worthless for me.
Love it! Potential for more!
I have read cyanide and happiness cartoons for years and have the joking hazard card game and now this app, love it all! I think if they added the ability to add friends, and to jump straight into new games and not have to search again (especially if playing custom matches with friends) would go along way to really making this game 5 stars!

I love joking hazard. I was one of the first to get the Kickstarter way back when. This app seems promising but it has a long way to go. While it's fun I feel like it gets a bit same same after a few rounds. A few different modes and the ability to play with friends. I'm excited to see where it goes.

Don’t bother. Waaaaaaaaay too many ads, and the ads take a long time.
Potential investment. Great Base for a Card game. Needs a tune up and some polish.
For Starters the BASE reaction “stickers/emojis” (😄😆😂😮😍) give no real variety to react to placed cards. 70% of games ive played have been some absolute garbage cards and I wish I could react to them accordingly. A better starter layout could be: 🤨😐🤣🫢🤪. Not even the paid ones (as of Nov 20th 2025) really convey any of these emotions/reactions. Second, The games are fairly quick but it feels some players don’t even play as the computer is fast and chooses a random card for both a placement and winner. It can be very addictive but can quickly get old fast with the the fast timer forcing “bots” to play as well as the 2 to win system. Best of 3 would really up the stakes and provide more laughs. Third, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade cards other than for a couple of coins (if you’re really desperate). The card styles tend to block off some of the text and distort the picture with its upgraded “shine”. Maybe if were to change the borders, maybe animate them with different styles and such it’d be worth it for those bragging rights. Lastly with the lack of sound effects and music there should be no reason you should turn the volume up, you’re better off reading the comics aloud and making your own sound effects. Will watch this games career with great interest
Enjoyable, but somewhat buggy
*Edit September 2025* This game has been out for a while now and yet it’s still buggy, it won’t let me choose more than half of the frames…it also has the wrong amounts of cards unlocked for some of the categories. No way to unlock certain emojis either…customer support never replies.. Not good enough! Original review: There are many times the game has got stuck at the point of “Waiting” (waiting for someone to choose cards or for the winner to be announced) with seemingly no option but to forfeit the game, which is disappointing. Also, there’s no “help” section, so if you skip the tutorial or forget how to play the game and can’t remember how the scoring works or what everything does, you’re out of luck. The IAP don’t seem too greedy, by modern game standards, thankfully.

I was racing someone to the top of the leaderboard and when I beat him, changed my name to “(his username) loses.” Instead of getting mad he changed his name to “gg dude!” Disgusting. I played this game seeking toxic people and instead every player is filled with sportsmanship! Disappointed in the Cyanide & Happiness community. Y’all should be worse than this.
