Great app for meeting new people
Alyke has been really easy to use and I like the overall design of the app. It makes finding and connecting with new people feel simple, and the interface is clean and straightforward. I’ve had a good experience with it so far and I’m excited to see how the app continues to improve. Definitely worth checking out!
Sucks
It seemed cool at first but after a “trial period” the app is unusable unless you pay to make friends. Rather than having premium paid for features, you can’t do anything at all anymore and in most cases if you’ve started to make friends, it capitalizes on you essentially ghosting people because you’re no longer able to even read responses without paying for the app subscription. This is a horrible business model. There should be a free edition to this app but instead they’ve chosen to be selfish and make the whole thing paid for. They’re gonna lose tons of users if they continue to run the app like this. I highly recommend that people DO NOT waste their time even installing unless you intend on paying $17.99 a month (taxes not included) just to make friends.
Not specific enough, but not bad
Two main things I wish this app had was the ability to let people know who you are looking for. In my case, I was just looking for male friendships, but I get all kinds of requests from women (I’m married so I’m not interested). Second thing is I wish you could specify a religion. All it has is “liberal” or “conservative” or in between”. Otherwise, not a bad app.
Location limit
As soon as I go on vacation I can’t even use the app and it tells me to delete my account because apparently the app is not in that city, but I literally don’t even live there. I don’t get why the app has to have your location 24/7 and assumes you live where your location is. It’s annoying. Also people honestly just use the app as a dating app anyway and it doesn’t seem like people want to only be friends

Loving this app. I have made many friends using this app since I’ve been sober and getting back into playing video games and such. Highly recommend.

This app feels different from other social ones, I think it has real potential and hopes it takes off! (without becoming subscription based where free accounts don’t get great accessibility ofc)

This app is good in the UX and UI but the high cost in search for genuine friends is ridiculously high. There are similar apps charging less.
Challenging to set up an account
I tried to upload 3 photos. Kept requesting to share more photos. I think this app is a tracker - it even has an option to pull photos from your IG.
Trying to give it a chance
I wish the profile offered a little more info on the self. If you’re not paying for the app it can be a little limited. Maybe my opinion would be better if I was paying for pro. But Id have to feel it worth it. Im giving it a chance tho. I do like the filters and recommendations.

Will steal your personal info and will Not allow you to delete your acct. they say they haves debit available but they dont. Be careful don’t even start or download the app. They SOLD my info and will Deny it.

Among the dirtiest, grimy app experiences I’ve had. App hangs after the last delete account prompt - and this is after taking every opportunity to hassle you along the way. Deserves nonstars.
