Cloud saves are broken
The game is good fun and all, but the cloud saves are totally broken. Not being able to seamlessly switch from my iPad to iPhone is a dealbreaker for me. I don’t have issues with other games, just this one so I don’t think it is an issue on Apple’s end. I actually lost my data trying to fix it. I deleted and reinstalled on both devices, thinking it would be fine as I could see there was still a cloud save. However, when I booted the game back up, it immediately overwrote my cloud save. Not cool, this is a serious issue with the game and needs to be fixed. I don’t like my time being wasted, my time is already limited as is.

I genuinely like Halls of Torment, which is why I bought the Premium version instead of the freemium/mobile-ized version. But come on guys — this is a mobile game with runs that can last around 30 minutes, and there is STILL no proper Save & Quit / Resume Run? If I switch apps and iOS decides to unload the game, goodbye run. That completely defeats one of the biggest reasons to play something on a phone in the first place: being able to play for a few minutes, put it away, and come back later. I’m not asking for save scumming or checkpoints after every mistake. Just persist the current run so reopening the app gives me a Continue button. Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon can manage this. Halls of Torment absolutely can too. The game itself is good. This is the missing feature keeping it from being a good mobile game. Please fix it and I’ll happily change the rating.

Schönes Spiel aber zu viele Abstürze
Das Spiel selbst ist umfangreich, bietet genug zum freispielen und ist sehr liebevoll gemacht. Leider verderben die ständigen Abstürze den Spielspaß. Da auch nicht zwischengespeichert wird und die Runden 20-30 min dauern, sind die Abstürze umso schmerzhafter. Würde man die Abstürze per Patch endlich mal beheben gebe es sofort 5 Sterne. So leider nicht.

This game almost always crashes before I manage to hit the 30m mark on a run. Give me some more options to reduce the strain on my tablet.

This game has so many bugs! Crashes about half of runs. The most frustrating game because it’s fun but most of the crashes happen in the last 5 minutes of a run.
A five star game!
That is 4 stars on mobile because it closes itself if I don’t finish a run in one session. Seems like the iPhone dumps the game from memory if you switch to another app for more than like 30 seconds. Being that you cannot save runs midway, it pains me to admit but this app is an inferior version of the PC build. Will update to five stars if a solution to this is patched in. Mid-run saving or a way to earmark the game to never be closed automatically would be fine.

Great game, UI broken when choosing character
The UI hides the effects and abilities of characters when trying to pick them, it didn’t used to be the case but for months I’ve had no information on what characters really do.
Peak INDIE game
This game is a legendary find and play, as it is a rare and quality game experience, with strong world building and aesthetic. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who likes rpg survival and leveling with challenge. It is also affordable and less greedy than most major game companies or slop ai base-building typed games. 10/10 artistic and creative stylings.
DLC crashes app everygame and cloud save doesn’t work
It was great last year until cloudsave broke. Losing hundred hours of save data. DO NOT BUY BOGLAND, the game crashes everygame with new character and in torment mode. On IP16PM and M2 IPad.
Bogland bug
Bogland isn’t selectable after playing it for 10 minutes. Closed and opened game after that achievement and the stage is unlocked in achievements, but my herb count now says 9/11? Help please?!?!? Super awesome game and no complaints otherwise.

Okay port, bad UI
Does not take into account screen notch. Hiding virtual joystick does not hide the virtual joystick. No clear way to sync progress with the Steam version. But the game is fun (when it doesn’t crash right after a run lol) Definitely recommended if you haven’t played the Steam/PC version before

End Game Vault Crashes
Endgame vault crashes upon paying the entry fee 100% of the time. The game started out fine, but is no longer allowing entry into this vault currently.
Room for improvement
Would absolutely love to see more character development. Imagine playing any of these classes and having in depth skill trees/more abilities. Also build options for gear and maybe some different types of content? I think having this game be more in depth would only enhance its simplicity. Also, multiplayer runs would be awesome! This game is phenomenal just know the sky’s the limit with what here and please please please increase abilities via class!

Super addictive gameplay tons of gear to collect and maps are fun. Cross saves between devices can be incredibly frustrating. Progress was lost on Phone, but was maintained on iPad. Cannot get saved back over to phone.

Absolutely in love with this game, and the Bard is my new favorite character by FAR. He is PEAK. But I noticed there’s no option to use torment shards to improve his stats. Is this intentional?

Fun, lacks new content and love.
The game has been a lot of fun, i’ve completed almost all of the content in it. It would easily be a 5* if not for the below. I feel like compared to the free version of the game this one gets left in the dust.They recently released a new character - but it’s unpolished. You can’t upgrade him in the compendium, and his achievements page is smaller than any other page (outside of the bonus quests page). It would be nice to see a bit more QA/balancing put into new and existing content, and more new content on par with the free version of the game.

I am a sucker for a good dungeon crawl I was playing vampire survivor on mobile prior to this to pass the time on a slow workday or an 5-10hr flight. The game is very engaging, the equipment is good with attention to detail and a Diablo 2 feel. Definitely purchase the game with the devs paying attention and updating it! Thanks guys ❤️ Updated review, latest update deleted all my progress… and switched me to the free ad version. Bringing this down down to 1 star 30mins each round and getting equipment only to lose them as well as your paid game sucks.
Please Hide “Discord” Button
This is a paid and ad free game which I really enjoy playing. However, I find the “Discord” button on the Home Screen very intrusive. Please add an option to hide this button for us users who don’t use Discord. I don’t appreciate a big red button advertising your community constantly present after paying for the game. If at all you do add the option to hide it, I will update my review to 5 stars. Thank you!

Needs to be optimized for iPhone 15/16
Great game/port, but the corners of the screen are cut off on iPhones 15/16. Even worse is that the Dynamic Island blocks lots of the HUD out. I play using a USB-C mobile controller so I can’t just flip the screen to have the HUD on the other side. Games like Hades have done a great job optimizing for newer iPhones. Will change review to 5 stars if this is fixed

Decent port overall and does the job. Still issues though… - Why is the text so hard to read on iPad? It’s tiny and incredibly fuzzy. Something is really off with the resolution in general as the whole game is fuzzy and lacks the crispness of PC - Where is Game Centre support? No cross saves? No achievements? No leaderboards? Why port to iOS at all and not make use of its feature set? I hate having separate saves on my phone and iPad

Mobile port needs love
Really fun and has a lot of potential but mobile port needs some love. Hope one day the available content is the same as the pc version. This is a mobile game but has no continue feature?!?! If i’m 25mins on a run and close the game to answer a phone call i just lost all that progress because the game just reboots to the main menu and makes me start over with nothing saved or an option to resume the run. Please let us continue unfinished runs!! Add portrait mode, give players the option between portrait and landscape.
