Exceeded My Expectations!!!
Awful app.
Bought a vacuum that doesnt work. I spent 30 minutes navigating the app trying to file a claim for my broken tool that i bought, and it just leads me in circles. Extremely frustrating and not user friendly.
Just got the app
Just downloaded the app and tried to add the purchase I just made. Got the starter kit’s charger in there, then I got an error message saying the serial number is wrong. I used the app to SCAN the serial number on the product. Also, we need the ability to add previously purchased tools without worrying about purchase dates and warranty.
Sign in with Apple ID is ridiculous
Signing up using my Apple ID is easy enough, but to sign back in, you have to click on “Don’t have an account yet”. It’s been a year since I signed up, and after I couldn’t find login info on my password manager or see a sign in option for my Apple ID, I was at wits end.
Signing In
The RYOBI has the option of signing in using your Apple ID. When going to file a claim, you’re directed out of the app and to the website which requires signing in with no option for Apple ID. This makes things cumbersome when products are already registered to the Apple ID account.
Log In Perpetually Broken
EDIT - I have discovered a workaround! But will leave my original review for posterity. On iOS 26 (previous iOS versions may be different), on the top-right of the login screen there is a button that looks like a box with some lines beneath it. Click that button, on the menu that appears click the “three dots” button, then on the next menu click “request desktop site”. Sign-in and that should (hopefully) actually log in to the app. —— App is garbage, the login system is perpetually broken. My credentials clearly work when logging in directly on the Ryobi website, but in the app it processes the login and then…. nothing happens. It never actually logs in within the app. I have way too many devices registered to my account to walk away and try to make a new account with a Google or Apple sign-on (which, unsurprisingly, is hidden behind the “don’t have an account yet?” button). Terrible execution across the board.
App sux!
Can’t even register my new Ryobi products, so what’s the use?!!!

Works great
Takes you on an endless ride
App is cumbersome. Registering a product is like signing a legal document for citizenship. The real challenge is if you must file a claim or request support for a product. You get in a loop of signing into your account multiple times and once you finally get to that point, there are no choices that match my need. I will be making a phone call instead—maybe I’ll get somewhere. Still love the products but support using the app needs to be revamped.
Registering problem
This application might be suitable, but when registering a tool, in the Purchase Date section, the calendar does not display all the dates of the month.
RYOBI 40V HP Brushless 21" Cordless Self-Propelled Mower Kit with (2) 6.0 Ah Batteries and Charger
Upgrading from my old John Deere to the RYOBI 40V HP Brushless 21” felt like trading in a horse for a spaceship. This thing practically drags me around the yard like it’s excited to show off. The cut is clean, the batteries last forever, and it’s so quiet my neighbours think I finally gave up mowing. Sorry folks, I just upgraded to the future. #LoveRyobi #RyobiAddict #40VBeastMode #GreenMachineGang
Every step makes me sign in
Id give it zero if I could All I want is the manual & I keep getting sent to log in page This app is junk So far I’m liking the tools to
Registering trouble
Having trouble registering some of the products just purchased on a single receipt.
No longer able to login
This app has always been kind of clunky. The registration is difficult as many tools are the same but have slightly different UPC codes. Currently, I am unable to sign in using my iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 26.5.2) on the current version of this app. I have deleted the app and reinstalled with no luck. Frustrating….
Can’t Register
Good information in app. Appears to be a lot of potential. Tool registration feature does not work. I attempted to register a tool twice, on the same day I purchased it. I had the physical receipt, and I manually enter the serial number, completed the entire registration process twice. Waited overnight. Registration still did not occur.
Good Tools
2 thumbs up
Difficult registering products
Way to time consuming to register a product when it was purchased online.
A good start, still needs work
The app is great to register tools, but it doesn’t allow me to remove old tools i dont have anymore, and has tools that arent on my onlie account … need a way to cleanup toolbox
Not that good
Ryobi claims that it takes 15 seconds to register a tool. Maybe 15 minutes, definitely false advertising. Also, when a tool is registered, and you hit enter, the tool disappears from your “Tools” list pending approval. So basically you have no idea what the status is. Ryobi please do better.
Weedeater
I keep having problems with the bump feeder.
Heureux
Des bons outils à prix abordable
iPhone users don’t download
I ended up deleting this app (like other users does not work on iPhone) and adding the website to my home screen on my iPhone. Even after reaching out to RYOBI customer support. This needs some serious rework
Works mostly
It is a sort of useful app for all your Ryobi tools. Easy to register a tool but no way to remove/de-register a tool. I have only the one tool registered and returned it. I will most likely just abandon this app. Seems like a data collector app for Ryobi. I am not necessarily against that. Could be useful for those that have a lot of Ryobi tools.
Very disappointed
The app works OK for a couple things, but definitely not for registering a new tool. Multiple problems at every level. This happened last time also, I was hoping they’d fixed it. Had to call, and wait and wait. Once I was able to speak with a human, the registration was quick and easy… it was suggested during the call to “just go to ryobi.com” and not use the app for registration.
Better than the last version…
The registration process is better than the previous version but taking away the ability to remove tools from your tool box is unacceptable.
Drill
Registered my drill! First time this has been seamless!
Beware
App crashes on my iPhone. Won’t work just constantly crashing.
Won’t sign in
Has worked fine for last couple years, but now errors trying to sign in, on latest iOS software and hardware. Can’t sign in with my original email, nor with google nor with apple accounts
Second purchase
I purchased this same unit over a year ago and it recently just stopped. The motor won’t work. So I bought a second one today. I really like the tool so I’m hopeful that it will work longer. Also my first one was really healed to switch between the trimmer and edger positions. Again hoping this one will be better. One of the screws in the pole if this new one was tight and crooked so it was really hard to unscrew. But the time I got it loose enough to connect the two pieces of the pole, the screw was stripped. So there’s only one screw holding it together. End result, I like the brand and the tool and I’m hoping I’m not disappointed more than I already am with this one piece of equipment.
Canadian Tool Owner
This App works just fine. I’m sorry other Canadians had problems. I registered 21 tools with no problems. I can even make changes and additions. Maybe I started using the App after all the bugs were fixed. I am enjoying all RYOBI tools I own and have no problems with them.
The app has problems
While I have a number of Ryobi products and they all function properly, this app NEEDS TO BE REVISED. My tools listed under the “Tools” tab show an item as having an error. It also shows the SAME item correctly (it is shown twice). It is partially my fault due to a blotched registration attempt. Try as I might to delete the entry, I cannot do so. The app needs to be modified to ALLOW THE USER TO DELETE ANY ITEM ON THE LIST.
Great when it works
If it did everything it says it would do, that would be great. I quit trying to register tools because the process is buggy and frequently won’t accept scans of receipts, especially is they’re electronic. Sometimes all you can get the error messages when trying to do anything. Currently trying to file a claim on a battery under warranty, and zero functionality.
Useful, but glitchy
The app is great for tracking and registering your purchases, and helpful for doing shopping research, but some of the products in the catalog are not available for purchase at Home Depot, even though the app offers it. More annoyingly, the purchase registration is glitchy, sometimes only allowing you to select he date of purchase only using the first three rows of each calendar month on its date selector, potentially setting you up for a failed registration due to a flaw in the app.
Angle grinder
Works great just what in needed for my chain link fence repair
Will Not Work
This app will not work no matter how many times I try and log in it will not let me. When I follow directions to contact customer service they want a model number. I just want to use the app not get assistance on a tool IOS 26 iPhone 16 pro max.
Not sure
Not sure what this app is for. Seems like one big ad for Ryobi. I love Ryobi, and thought registering my tools might be fun. But the app wants so much information for each tool (or it says the registration is incomplete) that I quit before completing just one. Not saying it’s a bad app, just not for me.
Solid but lacking
It would be much better if you could get receipts from files, not just photos.
Easy App!
Purchased a few new Ryobi One tools for Fathers Day sale and found downloading app and using it to register products simple and fast! Looking forward to many new projects ahead. Thanks Ryobi!
Misleading
The first thing I saw was a "today's deal!" for a product that has been discontinued and not for sale at all. And it MAKES you confirm your address?!? What the hell for? I lost more respect for this company within 5 minutes of downloading their app than I gained in the last 5 years of using their tools.
Impossible to add a receipt from Home Depot online purchase
It is easy to add the product scanning the QR code, but when I try to add the receipt it doesn’t identify the number, then I add it manually it works, but after that the app asks to add the product again and don’t allow me to add the product anymore, it tries to scan a barcode instead of QR code, and manually doesn’t work, terrible user experience, impossible to finish the process
No receipt
Need a gift options
Can’t login
Cant login to the app to register my products. Not sure how this app got more than 4 stars
Not so good
Terrible not easy for Canadian customers.
Registration
Have legacy tools, unable to register. Software needs a searchable list of tools.
