Great to be a part of
TRC club great to be a part of and support others on their journey and get some inspiration. We all have our reasons to run but great to get to share it too. Great support.
Straight to a subscription
I enjoy the channel but the app is a bust. Launches right into sign up for a subscription with no free trial - in other words pay up before you can even see how the app works. And they aren’t using the apple system for managing the subscription, so you have to give them your credit card number directly and jump through whatever hoops they have for cancelling. Disappointing and an immediate uninstall.
A great place to connect
The Running Channel has done an amazing job of creating a space for runners to connect with others who love the sport. This is a community for sharing your experiences, learning from others, and sharing your accomplishments. The other members are very helpful and supportive and the TRC content is always enjoyable. Plus, extra podcast episodes! Well worth it!
A Subscription Model You Can’t Cancel
This club requires a subscription right off the bat. Great, no problem. However, there is no way to cancel it. There’s no section on the app to update your payment, see your subscription renewal date, or cancel your subscription. There is an option to delete your account but does it cancel your subscription? Who the heck knows. I was a big fan of the running channel and was happy to support them by checking out the club for a month but when I went searching for my subscription info (not even sure l i wanted to cancel yet), i was surprised that i couldn’t find anything. So I messaged them in the app and asked them how I could cancel. After 2 days (granted it was near Christmas) they got back to me and told me i had to email them to cancel. First off, disgusting and sleezy system to have in 2025. Second, it’s been 5 days and they still haven’t responded to me outside of an automatic email that confirmed they got my message. Extremely disappointed with Andy and TRC. If you design an app around a subscription model and give no simple way for people to unsubscribe then I’m left with only 1 conclusion; you’re looking to rip people off.
All inclusive
I really enjoy being part of this. I have learned so much in the time I’ve been part of the club which has helped me no end. Highly recommended to any runner.
Nicely done
Really well made app for a great community
Great community for runners
Amazing community full of tribes, no matter your ability of running. So much to get stuck in to
The Gavi of Social Networking
I was rather sceptical about how useful this might be and how well built it would be… there are so many social media networks now, what possible purpose is there for an additional one for running? However I’ve been rather surprised and how a separately developed app is so feature rich… and it’s done one clear thing for me… it’s cleared up my feed of nonsense running influencers (the bad ones!) and sports brand advertising. It’s great that there’s a place I can go where people will care about my Vo2 max 😂, and so far it’s a pleasant place to be, reading others great stories and achievements. Let’s hope they can keep it good natured and non judgemental, and free of noisy advertisements. Well done guys! Writing this from a hill in North London.
TRC Club
I have enjoyed The Running Channels videos and podcasts for a while so of course I was curious to see what they had come up with for this club. However I was really positively surprised to see how well-designed the user interface is, both on mobile and on desktop and how much thought seems to have gone into making this a truly inclusive social space for runners of all types to connect, rather than just a feed of exclusive content. I’m excited to see, how the platform will improve over time!
