Horrible
Horrible chapter two tried pressing the first level and the game said I had to buy it every chapter 9 CHAPTERS don’t recommend
Great Game
Great Game, though sometimes freezes after an add.
yawn
about level 20, the level designer kept making levels that were symmetric. So, figure out the solution on one side, then lay it all out again on the other. Just wasting my time. Made worse by the fact that the layout engine usually deliberately puts a piece down in the wrong position. Track should ALWAYS at least TRY to connect to existing track, but no, having to spin track to the totally obvious intended position is fun! Not.
Has potential but….
The game starts out pretty fun but then at round 29 gets extremely difficult - so much so that I punched out. It would be great if it had a more gradual transition toward difficulty. Also, the tap and drag of track components is a little inconsistent (doesn’t pick up tracks half the time) and the draw of track components gets it about half right (puts a straight track where you intend a curve, etc. Most of the games have an element where either the blue train or the red train has to get there first. The way the signals are displayed on top of the little buildings telling you which one needs to get there first is very ambiguous. Sometimes you end up building both tracks just to find out you got the wrong train there first because you didn’t understand from the indicators, which one was supposed to land first. Also, when I’m in the click and drop mode and try to go back to draw mode, the game seems to stick on the eraser and won’t let me tap on the pencil so I end up having to do the whole game through click and drop. Overall, not super satisfying. Feels a lot like work!
Train of thought.
Just paid 8 bucks to purchase full game + added content (the Attic). Don’t think I’ve EVER paid that much for ANY apple game, cuz I’m stingy, but this had my brain “on the right track”. Don’t know about later levels, but the first was truly stimulating, so I took a chance on this brain “trainer”. Addendum: the devs were kind enough to contact me with a courteous response. Could’ve been AI generated, but still a nice touch. 😊
Great game ruined by Ads
I understand the need to earn money, but 90 seconds of ads per level at chapter 2? Not doing it. Most the levels at this stage take less than that to solve, so more time is spent on ads and between levels than actually playing. What twisted insanity is that? I was still at the point where it’s teaching me elements of the game, so I’m definitely not buying the full game at this stage. I was a huge fan of Trainyard and miss it greatly, so this looked like it would be the next best thing, but just from the overwhelming ads before I’m even invested in the game is an immediate switch off for me mentally and now I wouldn’t want to give a penny to the devs even if this tuned out to be superior. Deleted.
Good game just one request.
I like it a lot but I wish there was a freeplay mode where you could build your own tracks, but overall it’s a great game :)
Cute but over priced
Firstly, kudos to the developers for providing an ad free introduction to the game. This helps you make an informed decision on whether to pay for the title. Apple should enforce this approach, as otherwise the consumer is buying blind. For the game itself, it’s adorable to look at, they’ve done a great job in its aesthetics and it’s easy to play. However for me, it’s not original enough from other titles in this genre, and whilst you could watch ads (I refuse to) the price to access additional chapters significantly over values the game. Others may feel the price point is reasonable for them, but it’s too much for me.
Great, but has an ads issue...
The first chapter was nice, had a somewhat good introduction on how the games work. However, when I got to the next chapter, every level I wanted to get had me watch a 60 to 105 second ad, usually on the higher end. It's ridiculous. I probably would've played through it all if there was less ads, and the fact that by reading the reviews saying there used to be less ads is absurd. Sad to say I missed out on that. Addition: Usually when I use a hint it gives me hints to tracks I have already placed correctly, making me use all 4 hints and thus all 4 ads.
I find a one time purchase game refreshing…
And if you’re going to spend a few bucks on something at once puzzling and cozy, and a game you’ll have when there’s no signal or you just don’t want another mah jongg ad..: make it this one. You’ll thank me.
Avoid
Isn’t it funny how these games beg you for a review before you find out the trap? This one locks you out of the entire game unless you are happy to sit there watching never ending lengthy ads after every round or spend a small fortune.
A Good Game but..
..it’s a complete rip off of Trainyard. That said, Matt Rix hasn’t updated it to be playable on the latest iOS so..who am I to judge 👍🙂
Watch an ad per level?!
Whilst this game fills the void left by the removal of Trainyard, it is sadly a commercialised shadow of that excellent game. It’s the ‘Moana 2’ of games in the regard. It asks you to either pay or watch an ad per level. It’s still teaching you the game at that point. Nice looking game ruined by greed - I’ll note that when I see anything by this developer in future.
Update ruined it
I had previously beaten all of the first 2 chapters except the last level of chapter 2. It had been awhile so I thought I’d try that last level. Now I find I can’t access that level or any of the chapter 2 levels that I ALREADY BEAT without paying or watching ads. Well I’m not stupid so I’m not paying money. Also not worth watching an ad for.
The train game
Is the best Ever
Chapter 1 episode 27 IMPOSSIBLE
I looked on yt and they made it look easier than it really is. CANT COMPLETE CUZ UNFAIR
Fun so far
Still in the beginning levels and having fun. Would like to have 1 more option for a split track - (straight + right curve) & (straight + left curve). May reach a max point relatively soon b/c they offer 2 packs for sale to have access to the “full version.” Will post an update in a little while. Other than that, looking good so far!
I’m going out for hints
The most important thing is that is hard and impossible
Its alright
The game is good, however having to keep pressing and clicking each piece became quite tiring and boring. I dont know if there is a drag option, that would help with the repetition
Fun, Calm
This game is so fun and it is great to calm yourself down and the designs are amazing
SCAM
So I went to Today section and I saw the game I was going to play it but it was a scam it was on level 15 15!
Update
The latest update seems to have a few bugs - placement mode doesn’t seem to work and not all my completed levels in enchanted attic have disappeared?
Gutes Konzept leider vermurkst
5 stars for idea, 3 for execution
I really like this game. It scratches the Trainyard or Cosmic Express itch. The controls are buggy as f though. When laying track, you sometimes have to hit the selected track piece several times before it registers. The other option to lay track (just drawing it on, as opposed to selecting from the array and dragging into place) is not good. It pretty much is only useful for straight runs only. And you can't switch track laying methods mid-level. Devs I like the game! Fix the track laying bugginess and lag and I'll update the review!
So well made!!!
I was just playing and then I saw that this game has no ADDS it’s amazing I have never played a game with no ADDS before!!!
Hints
The hints just give you things you already know. I wish the hints would give you things that you don’t know. Update it and I will give this game 2 stars.
Was amazing
I loved this game when it first came out. Loved the levels and the upgrades with new versions, really enjoyed the community levels and had completed something like 1800 of them, as well as having competed pretty much all of the game levels and had purchased the whole game. And then 2 weeks ago I opened the app and ALL of my progress had disappeared, and the game keeps prompting me to buy the full game again. It knows I’ve been there because in the community levels it knows which levels I’ve given a thumbs up or down to, but my 1800 competed levels have all reset. SO disappointing and I’m almost not even bothered to play any more I’m case the same thing happens again and I have to start over.
Ad OVERLOAD
I don’t pay for games on my phone. Period. I know that this comes with ad requirements, and I’m fine with that. However, being required to watch a 30+ second ad before every single level is excessive. It was enough that I did it 3 times and deleted the game. Takes you out of the fun when you have to pause every single level. I understand you need to make money and ads are the alternative to paying, but there is a limit and this setup far surpasses what I’m willing to participate in. You got greedy so now you’ll get no views on your ads from me when more sporadic ad placements would have yielded you great numbers.
Zoom In
Nice and whimsical, but need to see less of the loving room background and closer view of the track to play pieces correctly
Awesome Sauce Game of The Year
it’s just so fun like idk it’s just fun to play and it’s so funny when the train crash or they crash into sum so funny😭😭😭
Abominable ad process
Tried this out with the intention of purchasing (very happy to watch a few ads in the interim) but rather than just being able to watch a 30 second ad then skip, the ads persisted until I clicked multiple times on “Get App” for whatever game ad I was watching. There is being reasonable, and then there is this.
A fun game
See lots of people complaining about the draw mode: just use the place mode, it’s easier & plenty smooth. This is a nice way to introduce logistical problem solving to young people. If I had one suggestion: more than one piece of background music so it doesn’t get too monotonous. If you need something, hit me up :-)
Game is fun…BUT…
You have to pay for the full version. Which I either missed it stating so in the description or they didn’t state at all. Not sure which. You get the first 30-35 levels for free. Which, in all honesty, doesn’t take very long to go through. Leaving the end user dissatisfied to find out they have to pay to unlock the entire game. We download “free games” because we don’t want to pay for them. Seems pretty simple and straightforward. Then slimey developers come in and list a game as free, but they really aren’t.
Good Until the Attic
Absolutely love the first 7 chapters of this game! Stuck on a level in chapter 7 but determined to get through it. (suggestion - allow users to skip a hard level?) Unfortunately once you get to the enchanted attic, the bugs come out. The launcher doesn’t always work, trains that have been split don’t trigger track changes, etc. Buy the first 7 chapters, but don’t pay extra for the attic…

Trainyard’s Successor
This game has about the same gameplay as an old 32-bit ios game called trainyard, information you can get from trainyard.ca. Although I appreciate that someone recreated the game, I much prefer trainyard’s gameplay loop, depth and artstyle. This game’s artstyle, while it makes sense and is a nice callback to the kid’s wooden track trainsets, is hard to read. There’s low contrast between objects, and on top-down mode it’s even worse because obstacles are small and the same color as the background from that angle. On trainyard the artstyle is very unique and personally nostalgic. It’s clear what everything does and is and the color and duplication mechanics add for a lot more depth and unique puzzles. The sound design in trainyard is also really fun to listen to. For these reasons (and a lot of bias and nostalgia for the original), I will wait for trainyard to be remade and buy that instead of this game. Again I express my appreciation for this game somewhat extending the legacy of trainyard, but I have a special attachment to trainyard that this game cannot recreate.
Not impressed
I think we all asking the same question..why can’t be placement and drawing switch on main screen..there are better games than this with same puzzles
Unable to play
When opening the game a purchase screen pops up and has no way of exiting out of it. Extremely frustrating because the game is great & I really want to play it
Loving the difference
I so enjoy having a game to play that is actually different from the usual slog of resource management and ads. This is some solid puzzle solving. I really enjoy it. It just took a few minutes to figure out that I’d definitely be buying the paid edition to unlock all the levels. Keep up the good dev work, guys!
Update brought horrible ads strategy
Previously, the first 2 chapters were playable and you had to pay to access other chapters, which is a fair freemium strategy. Since the latest update, you get access to only the first chapter and have to pay to access the other chapters. More limited freemium strategy. The alternative is to watch an ad before playing any of the 30 levels or 5 mastery levels of the other 6 chapters—EVEN IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY PLAYED THE LEVEL. So if you want to play chapter 2 level 1 for the first time, you have to watch an ad. Want to play it again, here’s another ad for you. Want a third go? You guessed it: watch an ad. That’s ridiculous so I deleted the app.
Good But not a 5/5
Tiny trains is a fun and educational puzzle game with loads of levels were you make train tracks that lead a train into a train station.Sometime the levels can be a bit complicated but it helps with puzzle solving.
Fun… until the paywall
This game is so cute and I was truly enjoying it, until around 30 mins in I was confronted with a paywall to play any more levels. Disappointed. Will be deleting.
A Few Things
Game is fun. Unfortunately for me the game is ruined by the controls. The draw mode is tough to draw corners and the placement mode is clunky. I feel like in placement mode I should tap the type of track I want to place and be able to place that track repeatedly. Then if I want to switch tracks I just tap a different type and so on. Right now with having to drag it out just doesn't seem the best.
Nostalgia
Reminds me of the old game trainyard express. Very challenging game. I hope it’s just like it!
Worst user experience ever
Can't even complete first puzzle as the set up is useless
Really nice
Little puzzle game. Fun and challenging. My only complaint so far is the battery usage. It really drains fast on my iPad. Hoping the Developers can do something about that. Recommend if you like solving puzzles.
Sad train coming
I really really wanted to like this game but my phone is so hot I can’t even hold it
Fun but poorly optimized
Makes my phone super hot after even short play sessions which is crazy for a puzzle game.
