This has made my health journey so much easier!
AI buddy
As if AI was what we needed. This app is fully generated from AI. The daily lessons are just a robot. Some of which aren’t fully recorded. Absolutely a scam.
Developer great to deal with
I would love to take advantage of an app made specifically for PCOS but I can’t afford to pay $300 for lifetime access. Thankfully the developer offered me a free year subscription. Super grateful
disappointed
i am sure its helpful for many, but the intro quiz you do before the obvious paywall to the app is so…… icky? You can’t skip it and go to make an account, it forces you to put in answers that aren’t need nor relevant to track your symptoms/condition and most questions imply that you hate your body but omg it’s okay bc they’re being cute about it! “Oh you have PCOS you must be OVERWEIGHT and think you’re DISGUSTING.” Gave me the ick-
Has good potential but isn’t there yet
Has the right elements they just don’t work. The lessons don’t play. The food tracking is not accurate or helpful. The meals are too over the top for every day. The workouts are too short. If they work on developing the elements more and actually get someone with PMOS knowledge behind it, it could be very helpful and useful.
Extremely helpful and considerate!
Love the app! The support team really helped with any troubles I was having with the subscription and made sure to make it right on their end! Will definitely keep recommending them to anyone who struggles with PCOS
Have to pay
Have to pay can’t even try it for free
Can’t afford it
I have PCOS, and I struggle everyday, even trying to get on disability. This app is too expensive at $69.99 a year or $14 a month.
Helpful Features, Needs Improvement
I really like a lot of the features this app offers. The cycle tracking, workouts, water tracking, recipes, and general food logging are all helpful, and I think the app has a lot of potential. However, the food feedback can be discouraging and feels overly restrictive at times. For example, I logged a banana and the app essentially flagged it as a poor choice for PCOS because of its sugar and glycemic impact. I also had a yogurt and received similar feedback. I understand that blood sugar and carbohydrate intake can be relevant to PCOS, but labeling everyday foods like fruit and yogurt as “suboptimal” feels unnecessarily negative. Another issue is that the app does not seem to clearly distinguish between naturally occurring sugar and added sugar when giving its daily sugar feedback. This makes the sugar limit feel misleading, especially when foods like fruit and dairy are contributing to the total. I think the app would be much more helpful if it focused on the overall quality and balance of someone’s diet rather than making individual foods feel “good” or “bad.” I want to use the app to understand my habits and support my health, not feel guilty for eating a banana. Overall, I like the features enough to keep using it, but I hope the nutrition feedback becomes more nuanced and less restrictive. Wish I didn’t spend $70 for the year.
I love this app!
This app has helped me so much! I love it and recommend it if you are needing help with your PCOS!
Why?
Why charge for an app if you won’t even let people put their true weight unless they are under 265lbs.
Why can’t an app that will actually help be free
Genuinely I will never understand the greed. I get it but at the same time, offer a plan with ads or something that’s free like wtf.
Can’t afford it to try it
Maybe for someone who has money to gamble it might work for them. I can’t even afford the shots my doctor wants to put me on to help with weight and insulin resistance. I have to stay home from work for two medically sensitive children so we are one income for 7 people. The app automatically requires a subscription when you get into it and the cheapest option is the yearly $69.99 option or its $6.99 a week instead. It doesn’t even give you a clear view of how the app will work or it’s lay out for you to even see if it would be worth trying before you invest a decent chunk of change into. I have spent thousands over the last year managing treatments and infertility for pcos and none of those things lasted so for me this is too much of a financial risk for a shot in the dark. I hope this really works for those who can afford it. I wish they were upfront about subscription costs before you download the app.
fake free subscription
subscription was too high, went to delete and the deal was still too much so they offered i could email to get it for free and gave me a dead email that doesnt deliver anything. i wouldve been fine just deleting and moving on but doing all of that is kinda cruel
Worst PCOS app ever
Literally expects you to be a certain kind of way boxed you in specifically on certain aspects can track your proper weight. Doesn’t give a free trial at all tried make you pay a absurd amount for cheap information
Don’t recommend for some people
I didn’t like how it’s basically centered around weight loss. I’m like 108 lbs and don’t need to lose weight. There are a million other pcos symptoms that could be addressed.
It’s okay
I loved it at first. Loved that you could scan foods and it would tell you what was good to have and what wasn’t. I originally downloaded the app because I have such a hard time finding the right recipes and finding stuff I love to eat while trying to manage inflammation and my weight and all the other issues associated with pcos/pmos. The meal planning sounded so good at first and loved there was new recipes added daily but WHY does everything have to be AI?! Any time I’ve ever used an AI recipe, it never comes out right. You can tell all the photos/recipes are AI because none of the photos match what you make (there’s an ingredient clearly in the photo, but no where in the recipe, and they look delicious in the photo but not after I make it) I can’t stand it because I’m just wasting food and money because I don’t like anything I make from this. There’s a few snacks and smoothies that are good but that’s about it. I know it’s cheaper and easier to use AI but I really want recipes that are actually made and tested by someone that knows what they’re doing.
Kind
Very helpful
$20 a month to prey on women that have run out of options
This app is so scummy. The original subscription price is $20/month. If you don’t go for it they offer you a discount. If you still don’t take that, they offer another discount but still no free trial, just week free trial if you sign up for $20/month after the week is over. Not to mention the app is riddled with AI, someone just threw the app together to prey on women that are tired of dealing with PCOS. Women, please, I urge you, see a nutritionist. Get the bloodwork done. Keep seeing doctors until something helps you, because an app is not going to.
She slow
It gets so much wrong. I had a chobani yogurt with 12 grams of sugar but the app kept reading it as 50 grams of sugar and then 10 grams. This was a bit of a repeat thing
Looks helpful
I really wanted to give this app a try however you need to pay for it and how am I supposed to if I cannot afford it. So back to the drawing board
Great app and even better people who run it!
I was diagnosed with pmos a year or two ago and it has been a struggle trying to find an app that tailors to your nutritional needs. It’s even better that they have recipes, it’s always a struggle to find pmos friendly recipes, saves so much time no longer having to scour the internet for recipes or information on pmos. When I first got the app, it required a subscription, I did not have the funds at the time and had seen people reach out to Sarah where she provided a free subscription for a year. I did the same and reached out, she gave me a free year of the app and I’m loving it <3
Nothings free
I was really excited to try this after hearing good things sadly 0 features are free to use. Simply can’t afford $14 a week.
Not enough
I normally don’t get so disenchanted with apps, but for the price, this app is largely unfamiliar with how food works. The food is graded on a scale of A-F and heavily emphasizes no sugars or high glycemic index. However, a food’s glycemic index changes depending on what you pair it with. I am also taking a medication to help stabilize my blood sugar, which is not something it asks me to add, which could make a difference in certain foods and how it affects my body. The app could also be more personalized. I don’t have some of the symptoms as others, and vice versa, so I’d like to be able to specifically choose which symptoms I need help with and then get more advice for that.
Looks helpful
I wish I could use this app. I was told by my doctor to figure out foods and workouts that worked for me with pcos, but I have no idea where to even start. So I got this app but realized you have to pay for it so unfortunately I’m stuck at square one again.
Easy to use
I love how easy it is to use the app and makes my life so much easier since I don’t have to think of anything with meal prep or remember numbers for tracking
Not worth it UNLESS they fix this issue
Don’t be like me an impulsively buy the lifetime subscription ( especially discounted.) I regret that, this app seems great but I don’t use it anymore since the uploading part of the food is completely off. You can log your meal, and then do it again and it give you two completely different numbers. Ontop of that the scanning of the food doesn’t work. It seems like it did when I did a free trail. As soon as I paid for the app I would scan in a coffee that had the nutrient label stating all the facts, and the scanner was completely off. I did it multiple times where it gave me numbers such as calories 100, 300, 500 etc. okay no big deal. I’ll manually add food to my log. I did that, and again it gave me completely different numbers. It makes me question how creditable this is in tracking meals, tracking exercise as well as tips it provides. It really sucks because I feel this would be a great tool if the developers really cared about women with PCOS instead of sloppily slapping together a program that looks promising but isn’t. Just another money grab. I wasted $60 just to go back to a free app that I’ve been using for years. Hopefully you don’t have to.
Shame I cannot afford whilst on maternity
The app looks great but shame there is no trial or free version as dealing with post partum and pcos isn’t easy and cannot afford the subscription
Oh no
Downloaded hoping that I’d finally found something that could help after suffering for years! To find you have to pay for a subscription to even access the app. I was hoping this was going to be it!
Life changing
I thought no one felt the way I did, now I have a sisterhood. I recommend this app over all the others I’ve tried. Sarah is an amazing human and I’m so blessed to have found this app ♡
Thieves!!
I literally canceled my free subscription ahead of time and they charged me anyway! Now i have to fight to get my money back dishonest and i didnt even find it helpful to make it worst
not free like it said
it says its free its not free
Subscription required
I saw an advert for this app on Facebook and got excited. Didn’t realise until filling out all of the questionnaire that you can’t proceed until you pay for the subscription. It’s a shame there’s no option to use part of the app for free and then to upgrade to premium if you want to use more features.
Amazing app and even more amazing support!!!
I was looking for a PCOS app to help me better understand and manage my symptoms, but I couldn’t afford the subscription. I reached out to support hoping they might have a solution, and Sarah responded with so much kindness and understanding. She provided me with a full year of the app for free and even told me to reach out again next year if I still needed help. It’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares about making its resources accessible to people who need them. The app itself has been incredibly helpful, and the customer support is truly outstanding. If you’re considering downloading PCOS Pal, I highly recommend it. And if cost is holding you back, don’t be afraid to reach out—they treat people with compassion and respect. Thank you, Sarah, and the PCOS Pal team, for making me feel supported. ❤️
Not free
I downloaded that app thinking it would be free and it isn’t back to square one on helping manage pcos
Not affordable
Looks like such a good app but it’s expensive and there’s no free version to try such as shame
PCOS, yes!
The app is super easy and efficient! For someone like me who newly discovered PCOS my life is slowly starting to make sense. With PCOS Pal I know I’m taking the right steps to help better my life and health! Looking forward to the future on this app!
The worst
I truly do not know how this app has such good reviews. It is not user friendly and the recipes are disgusting.
no free version?
Downloaded the app after fighting with pcos for 8 years, did the first part got to filling out dietary requirements and then clicked continue only to be greeted with a subscription page. once you’re at the subscription part there’s no moving forward. why offer this as an option when you’re just wanting to profit off women’s health? just seems a bit backwards?
