- Great representation for Black characters
What they complain about

More affordable
Could be not so expensive and more ways to earn points
Bad
They lied it cost money and I believed it wow what an idiot I am
Rating
I really like this app but I hate how we hate to pay for more episodes
Why “bite size” videos?
I wanted to watch an actual movie. Not bits and pieces of one. WHACK.
Not the greatest
I’ve seen ads about this one and finally caved in and watched what the ad was. Pricing is literally the same as other shorts subscription. The biggest reason I am giving a 3 is because while the shows are good and in great quality. The shorts do not have good endings. Like they end in your typical Disney princess movies of the girl getting the guy and then the end. Like I feel like I wasted $19. Like did they move to where they wanted. Or win a game after having a fight? Aside from that I feel like the shorts are too fast. Like they went from beginning of one semester to end of semester within 2 days. Or got engaged and married in like 3 days. The timeline isn’t great at all. It all just feels rushed. Which I am not a fan of.
Good app
Good app it’s Just expensive tho
Recycled material over and over
I’m over and done with this. It’s literally the same stories with the same actors. I’m bored now. These stories don’t interest me anymore. I’m starting to lose interest
Enticing content
CandyJar has a way of keeping you wanting more; the story lines are so relatable in many way but yet gravitating. It’s like literally watching your favorite books play out right before your eyes! Truly invested!
Welp
I paid for tokens because theres a really nice shirt film that i’ve been wanting to watch. Before paying i was able to watch the first 14 episodes for free. Unfortunately after paying, I have to use some of the tokens to watch episodes Ive seen already because I am not able to skip episodes (only with the ones you have to pay and see, the ones that come free already you can skip.) Its a little frustrating that its set up this way
Decent app
Great shows. But pricey. $20/week is crazy
expensive but addictive
What caught my attention was the actor from Fresh Prince show and now I’m addicted to it but it is quite pricey
Play movies that are pedophilia girls that are 18 to 20 that’s wrong do better
Don’t you know there’s some girls that are young that are 18 or 20 and you having them having sex with their stepdad stepmom‘s stepbrother and sisters that’s a bole that is nasty and says pedophilia y’all don’t think about the younger generation that is watching your movies what are you teaching .I should say what you’re teaching them that it’s OK that’s wrong.
Yall really drew me in
$20 a week is crazzzzzyyyy!! 24 hours to watch the next 2 min episode im SIICCCKKKK. Good shows though im just cheap and will be waiting 🤣🤣🤣
worst app
this was one of the worst apps ever! At first I really liked it but they kept wanting me to pay and if I didn’t pay i would have to wait 24 hrs or until a certain time to keep watching and when I waited for the time I could only watch one clip
Newly here
I just wish there was more of an opportunity to win rewards instead of having to purchase them
My fav
This is so good. I wish the shorts were longer but the overall quality is amazing! I’m always hooked whenever I watch.
Nothing about this is free
While I did find the video that introduced me to this app it was very off putting to find that the “free” videos only got you so far. You then have to pay to unlock episodes. Unlike other apps there’s no way to do this for free.
Only one thing I would change
Candy jar is amazing i love how you don’t have to pay for the episodes if someone asked me what I would change about candy jar I would say only one thing which is how you have to wait for the episodes to be unlocked I think it is stupid and if you want more people to keep the app just make all episodes all free and not have to wait for it to unlock at 7pm
Good but…
Having to wait 24 hours to unlock a 46 second episode is absurd we should at least get 5 episodes each day depending on how long the drama is, and rewards should re load every couple hours, but the dramas are good.
Love it! But expensive
I wish it was less expensive cuz $20 is two hour of my work shift
CandyJar so far…
Best one I been on in a long time…it’s my guilty pleasure
Total rip off
Purchased some coins to check it out. Examined their price options at that time. When I went back literally an hour later their prices had quadrupled. What a f’in joke.
hot stories
really good app, love the stories and the yearly option is actually a really good deal, wish you didnt have to pay butntoher then that great
La langue
Ces juste en anglais et j’aimerais bien que sa sois en français aussi pour mieux comprendre
Not cool
Like you have to wait for 24 hours for only five episodes you should fix that and you should at least make it like maybe eight episodes and wait like 10 minutes or five minutes and I saw something that says no wait time on the app actually there is
Candy jar
Pretty cool
Scam!!
The site makes you think you can sign up for a year and it’s approx $8 a month and you can cancel ANYTIME but you can’t. They immediately charge you almost $90 and do not allow you to cancel until the year subscription is out. It’s very shady. I just received a reply from the app developer telling me to reach out to them and they would see what they could do about a refund but when I did, they said they can’t do anything. Still a scam.
Would have been a five
I would have given it a five except when I watched the movie for the book “Broken” I was disappointed because I felt it had nothing to do with the book in it
Good but rn it’s not working
It’s completely Grey and won’t show anything at all. I uninstalled and installed the app and nothing.
Needs more lgbt series
Candy jar is such a good series app the quality the actors everything it's so cute, but I only watched next door, because I love gay shows as I am gay myself, if there were more gay shows I would be screaming, because river and kit is so cute, if there were more I'd be paying yearly honestly
Horrible app don’t spend money on this!
Don’t trust the bots rating this 5 stars They make you pay $20 a week for a subscription to watch the full movies and each episode is like 40 seconds long also seeing bad reviews say that they keep charging you more than the prices say so I just don’t trust that. Yall need to do better
Does not work
Does not work. Contacted customer service several times and still do not have access.
Please add Rewind and Fast forward Feature
I enjoy watching the shows in here it is a reasonable price range for the membership. Would have rated a 5 star if there were a setting option while watching the show. I use my Apple TV and the ratio isn’t right so I have to mirror it through my phone. There are subtitles in the regular app but it’s not available through the Apple TV. Please add a feature to fix the ratio, have options for subtitles, and have a rewind forward and back button because starting the scene from the beginning gets frustrating. Besides that I love it.
Disappointed
Paid for a yearly subscription and 2 release per month our max 3 is not enough… expected more so I basically paid all that to end up watching other platforms for free…
Please add summary of short even after pressing play
Can you change the app so you can still read the summary even after you have pressed play as I still want to be able to read the summary as I press play on the shorts to save them to ‘my list’ but then I don’t know what they are about. Please add this and can you also add a ‘my list button’ as otherwise we can’t find what we are watching and have to remember the name to search it up all the time
No AI
Love the stories and the actors. Better than AI stories. Real acting. Real people!
This app is terrible
This app is ridiculous. I did not purchase it. I canceled as soon as I saw it was purchased. They will not let me download. No other apps on my Apple because of the charges are trying to make me pay $75 they want me to pay for it in order to get a refund this is ridiculous. This company is terrible.
I absolutely love it except for one thing
I absolutely love this app I love everything except for one thing I cannot get enough for free. I always feel like I need to find someway to get more coins without having to pay and I feel like you should add like ads to watch then charge for coins I don’t want I need my charge for coins is not charge money but like doing simple tasks, such as the things that you already have but like I said, I love everything about it. I just feel like you should have like had to watch for more episodes instead of just having to go straight tasks
Keeps glitching
Keeps glitching so I check back after 24 hours and get a “something went wrong” error and the timer won’t start and the next episode won’t unlock. Only fix was to use coins to unlock which makes it look like an intentional bug to push users to pay. Please fix? Otherwise it’s kinda unusable for now and I’m not gonna pay when i expect this to just keep happening
Monthly L/weekly subscription needed
Shows are good but need option to pay monthly or weekly for subscription.
I love to be included
I’m not gonna lie. I’m so excited to see Black people on these apps acting, not as a supporting role, but as main characters the whole reason why I joined. I’m not gonna lie. I’m so excited to see Black people on these apps acting, not as a supporting role, but as main characters the whole reason why I joined.
Pricing
Great platform to watch movies but why do I have to pay for episodes/subscription… $20 a week. It’s giving gas prices.
My real opinion
Personally, I think the short film dramas are T. I love all of them. I follow Noah on TikTok so I had to watch you know him on here. I really wish that the coins were a little cheaper. You could do like $.99 for 50 or like you know make it around there I’d be spending $10 every episode I mean there’s so many films and so much to watch make it cheaper but I think it’s pretty good so far it kind of reminds me of WEBTOON but clearly with people and not animated cartoon 7/10 kind of wish it was cheaper and maybe like a little more organization
Only Bills Annually
Only bills annually. I wouldn’t recommend.
Candy jar
Good stories just a shame how much u have to pay to watch them
candy jar
I love it so much the best place to watch mini shows
Horrible customer service
No one responds to emails and you cannot cancel. I am being charged $10.99 a week against my will.
Love
I have had for over a year now. Paid the annual subscription for £35 I think it was but it’s £48.99 for the year and I will renew it. The one thing that has started happening though is it keeps loosing what I’m watching. In continue watching it doesn’t have what I was watching. I keep then having to find the show again and skip through to find where I was. It’s kinda annoying. Also keeps asking me to verify my email but doesn’t actually send me an email to verify with.! Could do with some more content on there I’ve kinda watched it all now
Im not happy…AT ALL!!
I paid for a year subscription and I got to watch all videos I wanted to watch and THAT WAS IT! There is no way that the new videos barely come out. There are 3 videos where the script is EXACTLY the same just different characters in each. I love the ones that have sequels but We need more ESPECIALLY if we are paying to watch the contents!!!! This is the way to get money and not invest back into your product. Im annoyed, everyone is annoyed DO BETTER!
Cost
£50 for the year upfront is very costly
