4.6 out of 5, based on 125,057 reviews.
What people like
- Fixes closed eyes in photos perfectly
- Results look natural, not like AI
- Only app that truly works as promised
What they complain about
- $10 a week is way too expensive
- New updates make edits look fake and artificial
- Customer service never replies to complaints
- Charges you even after you cancel
Best edit so far
I’ve tried a lot of these different photo editors and this one’s pretty darn good
Fraudulent
They take money you cancel they still take it anyway. The service is not worth it. Customer service is awful. I’d avoid. Going to my Attorney General
Retake, AI face and selfie editor
It works pretty well. I love that. I can go over all of my old photos and fix them if my eyes are closed or making a funny face or a mean face when I should be smiling different hair colors. The only thing I suggest is get some more hairstyles and colors and fun things and maybe even outfits or
Pricey
What the app itself can do is pretty cool, but for the price tag there’s absolutely no reason to ever buy it. $10 a week for any app is absolute insanity and I can’t believe anyone would ever ask for the from people.
Overall good app- AI Face Editor has become very inconsistent.
Overall, I like the app and used it for social media. However, lately the AI Editor has become very inconsistent—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The teeth-whitening feature also needs improvement. There are no different intensity levels, and the result is always extremely bright and unnatural.

Love this App

Monthly pay
This app used to be free , not only that but I pay 10 DOLLARS A WEEK. Just to get limited on the profiles I use I paid for it I should be able to do any photo I want unlimited that is ridiculous
Exactly
Exactly what I was looking for thank you would be nice if you can make a video for it
Not a fan
It’s not what I’m looking for I will be canceling my subscription, I’m looking for something to just add a smile to someone
W app
Works great but a lil expensive
Not working
App keeps telling me it’s not working and try again.., disappointed.

It saves having to take so many!
Not every person can have a picture- perfect -moment, but “retake” helps your pictures look that way. Its really you, but its you having your best moment!
Junk
Changes your face to be not even you. Doesn’t even make a fake smile when I use the smile fix. Garbage. Don’t waste time or money. I wish I could upload the picture so you can see how insane and awful it retakes the picture.
Just got it
It’ll say you need a trial but you don’t! So good!
New update takes forever
The new update scans your entire photo library to make updates. With a large library it takes 5+ minutes in the library. Doesn’t make sense to select access to particular photos every time. Wish this wouldn’t have changed.
Corrijam! Antes os resultados eram naturais
Photogenic

Was 6+++ but now 1 Star
Your new update has practically destroyed your software. It is practically useless, very disappointed and will be cancelling my subscription.
PRECIO SEMANAL
Absolutely LOVE!!!
This is the only app that I’ve found that does what it says! I unfortunately close my eyes at the wrong time and this app saves my favorite pics!! Love, LoVe, LOVE!!!
Stuck reviewing gallery
The app is stuck reviewing the gallery. I called their customer service line and was told the Google app company does not answer the phone number provided by Retake. I sent a chat in their app. No reply. I’ve had the app for over a year and love it however, if there’s a problem, there’s no recourse so I will cancel the subscription.
Great app
Love this app, although I don’t understand why they took away the weekly 10 free pictures, this was my favorite feature of the app. :(
Way too complicated from the start
Did not like this at all. It was way too complicated. I am still on the search for the best photo editor app that works for large group photos so far I have been failing miserably! This was an instant delete.

Only app of its kind
It’s the only one of its kind that works. Couldn’t find any alternative app or software like it in the market so far. Super amazing so far
Decepción
He pagado suscripción y después de algunas fotos me dice que he alcanzado el límite. De que si yo he pagado??
Great results

App does select pictures

Don’t waste your money
I paid and uploaded photos and never got a rendering just more requests to pay more money to get my photos … this is a scam
Fun app
Some of the pictures turn out actually quite good. And the magic retakes are fun. It’s expensive tho and can’t do a whole lot w out the subscription so that sucks.
Annoying safety features
If you have photos of yourself on the beach or take shirtless photos of yourself in the gym, this app won’t work for you. It keeps flagging shirtless photos as inappropriate… I cropped the photo to try to hide bulges or anything it might deem as inappropriate but no literally just because I have no shirt on it’s inappropriate… it’s not inappropriate for a man not to wear a shirt? It’s 2026 many of us have a shirtless photos on social media, especially influencers using the app.
Best selfie editing app!!!!
I’ve tried so many different AI editing app and this one has been my favorite so far. It doesn’t change ur face completely like most others do those ones that give you that unrealistic computer generated pretty but instead it gives you that “OMG you look really amazing in this photo “ look… if you love taking photos of yourself you have to try this app. It’s amazing!!!!!!
Makes a bad pic into clown pic
This took a bad photo I needed to submit a job application and made my pic look like I was a clown. Charging $15 go use for 1 week is criminal. Don’t waste your time signing up because you’ll end up paying them because there’s no refunds.
Not free
Amazing, except for the fee… I wish it was free!
If I’m paying $13 CAD/ week then why is there a limit to how many times I can generate photos?!?!?!
I am upset that there is a limit to how many photos I can generate on a paid subscription. It makes me not want to keep using this app.
Super
Super para las fotos
Good app
Fun
New Update
The new Retake upgrade is a huge downgrade. What made this app special was how natural and specific the edits felt. Now it feels like every other generic photo editing app, with less control and worse results. The old version actually solved a problem. This update took away the thing that made Retake worth using in the first place.
LOOKS GREAT
I love this app!! makes all my pictures look so much better and not so ai looking but there is a little fakest that u can kinda tell if u look close
Miz’s other half
3star
To much
Just change it too much. I should maybe have options of five being a lot for somewhat three you know what I mean like how much you want it to change because sometimes it just looks fake and you know you want it touched up, but you don’t want everybody know you touched it up that’s the whole point of most of this just too much.
