I love it
I love the game since I played Santorini. But This News versions of the game have some glitch… sometimes is difficult match the piece in the place in spite of you try hard
Update - Nope
Update: I paid to remove ads since the full screen ads kept crashing the game. This is not the game I expect from Jammsworks. Unlike their other 'tourist' games, this one takes place entirely in the hotel room or the dining room. There is no scenery or images to give it any ambience let alone Bali. Most of the time is spent moving things around on unending tabletops. There is way too much repetition. Almost every table requires: gluing a cup, making coffee or tea, and arranging utensils. I lost count after 6 tables. Tiresome. And still very buggy. Original: I want to play but the game keeps closing on my iPad Pro 11. Usually Jammsworks games are the best. I’ll be happy to change my review once an update is available to fix the problem.

Nice Game
I Love The Authenticity Of The Game.
Get it together
Nothing in this game works, wasted a lot of time. Very disappointing.
Morninglory
Fun game that uses logic and sequencing to solve puzzles. Hints are available… I had to use several! I found it very frustrating that I had to use hints only to get an area to properly work. The items don’t readily fit and you have to make several, SEVERAL, attempts to get items to meld together to complete the item. It is very frustrating so I give this game four stars.
New Ad Ambush - Really Bad
I’ve been playing Jammsworks games for many years due to their high quality on every level. This game, Bali, is profoundly disappointing because apparently Jammsworks has some new advertisement set up and the player cannot even open the upper left corner menu without having to endure an ad. This means that if the player wants to get a hint by viewing an ad, the player has to watch an ad to request the ad. THE PLAYER CANNOT ACCESS THE IN-GAME MENU WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO WATCH AN AD. How very meta, Jammsworks👎 In addition to all mobile game ads now running 45 seconds, which in itself is a slap in the face to mobile device users, Jammsworks is now increasing ad screen time on top of that. I guess I’m done with Jammsworks. It was nice while it lasted but the new format is completely unacceptable.
うーん…
今回は、アイテムの操作がすごく難しかった。 ここでいいんだよなぁって思ってスライドしてみてもOKにならないから、え??違うの?ていうのが何回もあって、何度もヒント見てしまいました。
Much better!!
Update from my previous review. It has been a while since I have played and a lot more activity was added and all the bugs were fixed. I have to say this is my favorite of the creators! I was very impressed with the challenge and mechanics. I’m proud of them for trying something new, yes the initial launch was rocky but I knew they would come through and they did!! I hope they make another one like this. I’m always checking back for new stuff! I have yet to find a creator like this one. All the games are so enjoyable and thought out! Super glitchy and I can’t even get to the first puzzle with out it freezing and making my phone go crazy and heat up. I’ll wait till it’s ready. I am super excited for this!! I am always waiting for your games to come out!
The worst
The worst of the Series, been playing for years. Intrusive constant ads and the mechanics of play are frustrating and ridiculous even after lthe learning curve of figuring things out. Have a go and see for yourself. You'll be disapointed too. I am ddisappointed . Good Luck :(
I’ve played many of their games
I know Jammsworks games very well as I have played many before. I found this one to be as entertaining but slightly shorter and easier than the other ones.
Sad
I really enjoyed this developers games until now. Used to be top notch and the best games I’ve played. Checked my phone everyday for a new game. I deleted this one and after the update downloaded again. Very disappointed in the new style. Deleted this game again. I understand sometimes developers want to change things up and try new ways. I considered Jammsworks to be the best in the field. Please, please go back to the original style.
Dragging items isn’t fun
I usually love Jammsworks and support by watching ads, but this game doesn’t live up to their quality! The beautiful scene’s too narrow on iPad. Dragging items is NOT fun because it requires too much precision. I DO appreciate skip-able mini games. (I despise puzzles that flip random tiles.) And I always appreciate that there’s 3 levels of gameplay!
Bali-Hai!…
…turned out to be a high for me. Once I got accustomed to the vibe of smaller scenes being manipulated in different ways I chuckled throughout. Definitely a different take on the dozens of previous Jammsworks outings, but not as taxing for me as “Marrakech.” It did get a bit repetitive, which might affect replay value, but a clever twist from a stellar developer.
Different
Used to love these games but this one is different. Wanted a hint and after being forced to watch unbearable ads still didn’t receive a hint. Deleted and moved on
If you like both merge and escape games
Almost a year later, I decided to get through this game no matter what. The object-merge mechanism, which was new here, is better implemented in later games. Even with the enlarged active area, it’s persnickety on a phone, to the point that I still end up getting hints to affirm that what I’m trying should work. As always, there’s a lot of game: 3 initial levels and a large bonus level. This means there’s way too much opportunity for lighting candles, moving ice, and making coffee to feel repetitive. It’s also the third hotel game in a row, with minimal Bali flavor. Again, later games do it better. Is it worth playing? Yeah, probably.
Why the change?
These have, historically, been some of my favorite games but this one has fallen far short. Not sure what the impetus to change UI was but I’m not a fan. I’d tend to download and pay to clear ads in the past but I doubt I’ll do that in the future if it’s anything like this.
Don’t get me wrong…
I love every escape game this developer makes. This one is my least favorite. I did not like the dragging of items to use them. It made for more frustrating game play. How it was before was not broken so there was no need to change it. I hope for the next one they go back to how it was. Appreciate trying something different but this isn’t it
Yes!
I’ve played every escape game that was in English. I don’t know how to reach out to the developer to please make more!
worst game in jammworks series
item moving is poorly working. Too simple, boring in playing
great game
different than previous jammsworks games that i have played, has micro-table top escapes to progress. visuals are wonderful as all of their other games. my favorite part is the option to buy out of ads!
Not like the new version
Didn’t like this version, go back to the old format! Thanks!
Not a bad game, but
I like all Jammsworks exit games, they are great, however I feel that something changed: this one seems lower quality and it also has many bugs that make it difficult to play (e.g. I couldn’t open the box with cherries; after lighting the candles in the last part, a man didn’t come and I had no idea what to do next, so I had to go through all rooms and get a hint; I had a lot of problems with connecting two objects together) and TOO much ads! To get one hint I had to watch 2 ads, that’s a lot. Please, make Jammsworks great again. Thank you!
Loved the multiple stages of this escape game!
Love Jammsworks escape games, have played many over the past couple weeks. Huge fan of the multiple stages to clear the game and the drag and drop features to figure out tables in this one specifically. Awesome and entertaining game!
nightmare
All day draggin stuff with no sense and full of bugs
It’s Ok :)
This Bali one by Jammsworks was Ok. It’s a different style than several of their previous newer games (from the last few years). I feel like it’s more finding where all of these little items that are lying around fit with each other, than finding many different items and clues themselves, which I find more fun. My favorite Jammsworks games so far have been Santorini, Kyoto, Venice, Hanoi, and Ocean Front, though this one, Bali, was a fun change from the style of the previous ones. I’ll definitely play whatever game they make next, as Jammsworks has become my favorite escape game creators. The thought that they put into all of the clues and puzzles, and the great graphics which appear more 3D than other games, I really love and appreciate. I also love the calm and cute look of the characters and scenes, which I don’t find in most other escape games I’ve played. Thanks for making the best escape games, Jammsworks!<3
Must have been bought out or changed leadership
Quality of overall game is a HUGE step down for this company. A shame. Guess this is the last one I'll buy. Very disappointed.
New
New update was OK. I like the old original way.
The best of the escape games
I play a lot, and these are my favorite. Fun, with great graphics.
Unable to play
I have a relatively new iPad and the very first screen it locked up. So I had to delete the game.
I love these games!
I go through phases of addiction with these Jammwork games. This Bali one definitely had some improvements but one lag I didn’t like was that when dragging it sometimes didn’t align and therefore you didn’t think it worked. So keep dragging an item into a bowl or cup or whatever even if it isn’t working right away.
New UI is terrible
The new methods where you have to drag the drinks, drag the ice from the container, add water, etc. is terrible. All the previous games from jams works are fun and awesome. Please please please go back to the old style where you collect items then use them with each other, like collect a piece of a cup, collect the glue, then glue the pieces together. And please put the note pad back to the right side with access using a swipe left. Jammsworks games are the best of all the escape games, but this new style is awful. Avoid it and play their older stuff, it’s so much better.
Love this dev but new style is a bummer
Jammsworks is my favorite developer. I religiously wait for every new game and have played the entire catalog a couple times now. I agree with most of the reviews here. I don’t think the drag controls add anything to the enjoyability or challenge, and the table by table mini scenarios are pretty easy and just kind of boring. It’s tedious to constantly be dragging objects. It’s an ‘advancement’ that makes it less fun. Whatever programming it takes to do that isn’t worth it. Simple controls are better. Dear dev, please go back to the old style everyone loves. Thank you for all the rest of your games.
New Game !
Please make a new game. Literally the only escape games I play
Doesn’t work, way too buggy
I’ve enjoyed many of this dev’s games but this one just doesn’t work. Kudos for trying something new but please get games adequately tested before releasing. Too many things that are supposed to go places won’t go. For instance, I think I’m supposed to put the water in the kettle but it won’t go. I think I’m supposed to empty the sugar cubes to get to the battery underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I think I’m supposed to empty the bath salts to get to the thing underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I’ve tried to move them all so many, many times and no luck. Plus, too many things are unrecognizable. Please put names of things on inventory items. I have no idea what this blue box is. Ugh. This is all way too frustrating! I’m deleting. Maybe I’ll try again in a couple of months after the next dozen or so updates. Sorry Jammsworks. It would be fun if it worked.
Love Jammsworks
Love the games. Did not love the drag and drop style so much.
3sc4p3 4rt1st so disappointing
Used to be my favorite but I have to agree, I don’t like the new style of pouring wine and making coffee. The graphics are not as good and it keeps crashing! Sad.
Not quite ready for prime time
Update after 2 new versions: Better, but still an impassable bug w teapot and tape. (I can’t get the tape and I’ve used the teapot so it’s gone.) I enjoy Jammsworks’ games, but I think I downloaded this one too quickly after its release. Using objects is a bit glitchy, some don’t go back into inventory when you click away. I’ve deleted it for now but will look for an update.
By far the best
I hope y’all see this so that y’all will continue the same concept of this game I loved the little tables to figure out and everything around it was really fun
Bug
Seems to have a bug. Spoon won’t snap to jam jar as it is supposed to (as confirmed by the hint). (Other reviews seem to confirm this.). Got really monotonous. I give some credit for trying to change things up compared to prior games, but all in all it seemed kind of silly doing all the tasks on a given table (even if you do have to go get things and bring them back to a given table). I much prefer the games by Artdigic (OmniSoft), which require a lot more thought and bringing together multiple clues to solve. The Jammswork games feel more like gussied-up scavenger hunts rather than puzzles you have to solve.
The best
I never leave reviews bjt i just had to say I’ve played almost all of these games and i love them all so much. This one is just as good as all their other games, but I appreciate the new interaction and movement in the game. All the jammswork games are amazing but this one was especially fun. The graphics were also great and it was so smooth. No glitches and new puzzles to figure out. Very impressed! I hope there’s more games like this on the way 💗
Interface Bugs
I’ve played every release of this developers game. I enjoy them and look forward to their next one. This new interface was ambitious and its cool to see them trying something new but the interactions are definitely glitched. I thought I had the answer incorrect so I finally gave in and watched the hint. It confirmed I had the right solution but the objects wouldn’t interact. After much swiping and just randomly trying every spot it finally worked. Then I ran into the same issue again with another object. I’m sure when this is fixed I’ll change my rating but as it stands it’s unplayable. Literally.
Nice game but
It is slower than other Jammsworks games and it crashes repeatedly.
Jammsworks never disappoints!
I hope you translate all of your games to English! By far, the BEST escape games at the App Store. I’ve downloaded all you have in my language. Thank you for truly FREE games.
What happened?
I used to love this game, but this one? Just annoying.
hard to play
dont like the dragging
What happened??
I’ve been looking forward to a new game from this developer, I’m surprisingly disappointed. I understand trying to change things up with the mechanics, but don’t mess with a good thing. Maybe having to drop and drag everything wouldn’t be so annoying if the app didn’t crash or freeze every-time you do so. I’m going to skip this disaster and wait for the next.
Different developer?
Not sure what’s happened but this one isn’t quite as fantastic as all the other Jammsworks games (which is among the best out there). The gameplay is a bit awkward, not the same quality as before) and the game has a few glitches that prevent game play.
