Easy and simple
The app is easy and simple to use and if you have any issues they have a solution for it and not to mention the constant updates to make your time easier.
Disconnects very often
The remote does not always work and it is very annoying to have to unplug them everytime i wanted to turn them off sometimes im tired and dog wanna get up and it’s very irritating i would not recommend

The company heard my feedback and updated the pop-up message during the routine updates to include an “update later” option which allows the app to continue working. Many thanks! Original review: Forced updates on a smart home app are not cool, ever, but this app in particular forces new system requirements. None of my other smart home services force updates on me. I won’t buy a new phone to keep using my lights. I’ll be switching to a different platform.
Not the best
The timer of the lights doesn’t work and I’ve tried many different ways to see how the sleep schedule can work but nothing. I think it’s a major flaw because I don’t need the lights on the whole night. Everything else is okay. I think I would want there to be darker color options though. I think these lights should be looked into more for bugs.
Works
All right so I mean the app works and everything it’s not very user-friendly compared to other apps that are out there. My biggest complaint about the app is every time I go to login and it’s at least once a day they log you out and you have to MFA with your email so getting your email confirmation code to login for your LED lights just gets a little annoying it sure my phone auto paste it and stuff, but I shouldn’t have to login every time I open the app. My bank doesn’t even do that

UI got a lot better since when i downloaded the app. timer feature works a lot better now too. overall i think this app does its job perfectly

Pretty good overall
I got LED lights and they function perfectly, although limited music Reactive LED options!
Missing key quality of life features
App functions meet the minimum I’d expect, but color adjustment can be difficult. When sliding across colors then lights only update when you take off your finger, so it’s much harder to find a specific color. This combined with the lack of being able to adjust the individual RGB values makes getting the color I want difficult at times.

It’s ok but the music setting is so bright it picks up or noises you don’t want it to and the ones you want to it doesn’t and even on the soft setting it’s so bright but overall it’s a good product cause I can turn the lights off on my bed

Scheduling doesn’t work
Have a corner floor lamp, scheduled on/off worked when I first got it but after an app update it stopped working. There’s been many updates yet still doesn’t work.

Won’t connect
My phone won’t connect even though I followed all the instructions and it still didn’t work. App sucks.
Mostly works
The app works for the most part - the timer features are helpful and I like the amount of control over color/brightness. A warning - DO NOT use the music synch feature. Even the ‘soft mode’ was a fast strobe triggered by any noise. There are also some bugs that make it a bit harder to use - for instance it would help if you could apply a setting for multiple devices.

Good lights but a few small problems
It came with two rolls which was way more than enough to line the top of my walls, and they’re very bright and good to have on dim while sleeping! My only small issue is that for some reason I can’t use blue pink or purple which is the main colors I’d like to use and I really can’t buy new led lights, is this a reoccurring problem in your lights?
bluetooth error
worked for the most part but recently whenever i try and connect it says error with bluetooth, which is really annoying and the app is completely unuseable now and i have to use my physical remote. giving 2 stars because it will work for around 6 months before the app stopped working
Operation
The operation of the app works fine, colors are good for what I paid, but the LED lights won’t stick to my wall. I’ve bought 2 different pairs and neither stick properly.

You have to type your password in every time you get on the app. Not compatible with faceID
works sometimes
UI isn’t great, buggy app, colours don’t transfer well for example if you ask Alexa or another assistant blue or pink or any other slightly debatable colour it will be way off, not even close to the right colour. Also, the product randomly disconnects and fails to reconnect, even after disconnecting it, resetting it, trying different wifis

Don’t get them, not worth it
These light work good enough. They are very bright and the one color I can really sleep with is red bc it the only one that’s dark enough. Also this app is borderline awful. It is very hit or miss with connection. One day it will work perfectly and the next you could scan it over and over again, be right next to it, have you WiFi and Bluetooth on, and it would still say that you can’t connect. Other than the fact that the app barely works, when it does it’s pretty easy to use. It will never, and I mean NEVER, be my first choice for led lights. The are so many better options out there. Would not recommend

Iffy
The led lights were working fine until this one day where I was playing with the colors and then my phone just randomly disconnected and the ,ed lights just started blinking a really faint green. And to this day I’m still trying to fix them.

Reason for buying not fulfilled
Unfortunately, the setting to automatically turn on and off the lights isn’t functional. A bit disappointing all around.

The lights work but when i choose the color i want it changes it to a different one,when i try to put the color blue it turn it into green

Has a little bit of trouble connecting to multiple lights, but that might be a me issue
App doesn’t work
These lights are extremely dim for what they are and the app stopped working and refuses to connect to them. They just keep strobe flashing on and off and connecting then disconnecting so fast I can’t even select the device off my phone.
Bug on update (magiclight)
On single colour lights the last section on the string no longer works. But the lights work on every other setting.
Timer is useless
After the timer turns the lights off it clears out all scheduled timers so it doesn’t turn back on and you have to manually go in to turn them back on.

Every time I open the app it takes about 2 minutes before it shuts me out of the app. This has happened about 20 times in the last three days.
Resets timer daily
I’m not sure what happened but since about a month or so ago my lights on my tv always reset and the timer never works anymore it’s a shame it use to be great before this started happening.
Canada shipping
Good app works just fine but won’t ship the Canada Though the app also coupons won’t roll over to Amazon or stuff. I possible plz add shipping to Canada
Inaccurate
Part of the strip suddenly started to switch to a different color than what I chose. Everything is normal except that one part of the strip and now it’s there permanently
