What people like
- Great for reading with kids
- Brings back childhood nostalgia
- Fun stories with good morals
What they complain about
- Subscription auto-renews without warning
- Customer support never responds
- App crashes and has bugs
Easy app to read ACKs
I use this app on my mom’s phone and love reading all the new titles. It is such fun to flip the pages and read the comics here. Thanks for a real comic book experience on a digital screen
Fraud
Will charge without informing, do not subscribe to this app, it is difficult to cancel the subscription and they do not respond to complaints or emails. They have fraudulently charged my card and have never responded since than
Decent platform for nostalgic comics
Works as advertised for the iPad. Digital comics purchased here are many a times cheaper than kindle. The only issue i have is that the app has not been verified on the mac. It clearly mentions that on the app store. I tried this on the mac and found the menu clicks do not work. Its probably one day of effort to fix it for the mac but if possible that would be nice.
Purchase isnt restoring
Purchase isnt restoring
Lifetime subscription?
I paid for lifetime subscription . Lifetime is reduced to 5 years. Each comic shows a price but when you click download it works! No need to pay extra.
A treat to read and my all time favourite
Amar Chitra Katha has been my must read comics since the day I learnt reading….It is the best comic book to read and now with the app available I can read as many comics as possible on the click of a button… not only are the comics so fun to read they also gives us a lot of knowledge…….🌷💯🙏
Does not work on ipad
neither the app, nor the website is able to download/open the book on ipad.
Good content, nostalgic, wished could read in Hindi
Request to app developers to provide a option to read content in Hindi. I read it to my kids and sometimes it’s tiresome to translate English to Hindi
How to cancel subscription
Unable to stop auto renewal subscription. I just purchased 6 months plan and I need to know where to stop auto renewal option as I have attached my card details . At least the user should know it right . Where to cancel it and all. Respond me fast
Very poor app support
The images of the comics are just like physical and better, but the app is very glitchy and many bugs. This needs to be resolved by a proper app.
Indian culture book app
Amar chitra katha comics app is a popular digital platform for kids and adults.
Pathetic experience
Money has got auto debited even after cancelling my subscription. I tried sending several emails to customer support but got no response and tried calling their mobile number, but no one picks my calls as well. I tried raising a complaint through the app, that functionality has technical issues and can’t even raise a ticket. Regret trying their app! Pathetic experience!
Please remove the silly parental gate
The app has finally been fixed for the bug which didn’t keep in memory the last read page of a downloaded book but the silly parental gate is still there. Dear developers, this app doesn’t have any content that unsuitable for children. All ACK books are family friendly. Please remove the parental gate which forces the subscribers to solve mathematical puzzles to open the app. It’s irritating.
Nice app to read ACK but with a catch
The app does not support panel or box view just how it happens in prime reading for any graphic book. Here it allows only zooming the page and scrolling accordingly to read contents.
Review of app
User friendly interface.
Indian Values Preserved Fabulously
My kids and I are hooked to the stories in this App. Best feature is to read the comic with the whole family while screencasting it. It has become a post dinner ritual for us
10% of titles loaded in Hindi. Same avl in regional languages
Only ack no tinkle and handful comics loaded. Not the full collection same repeated in multiple languages. Kindle unlimited has all. Terrible in comparison.
High quality content!
I love your series on spiritual figures and mythological stories. The comics look amazing on the iPad. Hoping that the next version will address the issue of the comic switching to the first page when the iPad shifting between landscape and portrait orientation.
Does not work anymore
Great content but not accessible anymore. Neither buy nor subscription works. Used to work great.
Please update the app
It doesn’t even adapt to the iPhone X display. That’s a 3+ year old phone.
Super
Very nice books to download and read
Subscription scam
What is the process to cancel subscription
Panel by panel view not available.
Please bring back panel by panel comic view as it used to be before update. Everything else is good.
Subscription plan doesn't work
Signed up for the 1 yr subscription service. After 29 downloads unable to download any more books. Supposed to download 200 books! No app support!
Download issues
Downloading comics is taking very long.
Payment options
ACK team should have separate payment gateways so we can subscribe according to our convenience
Worst app not working
Worst app not working. Not even a single book getting downloaded. No customer support. Refund my monly you fools
Subscription renewal without advise
My 3 month subscription was renewed without giving any instruction. Please cancel the subscription and refund the money. We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of reading so many of the ACKs. Please allow us to stay with the positive experience by not making this small issue persist.
Download button
For some reason, the download button is not there, on my phone it’s working but why is it not working on ,my tablet ?
This app is great 👍
So brilliant
Incorrect charging for my account
Hi ACK team, My subscription was renewed without any instructions. When I tried to sign in again with all my possible IDs, all the IDs showed up as “Account doesn’t exist”. My subscription has been ended months ago when I used a voucher code. I have already contacted the bank too and they informed that it has been registered directly with you. Please cancel my subscription and refund my money. These are all the IDs that I have and none of them worked I have throughly enjoyed the experience of the app. Let it not be ruined by this issue.
Amazing but...
The rainbow prince was so interesting but the faithful shepherd was not that good
App is buggy but hey I get to read my favorite comics from when I was a kid
‘nuff said
Great Collection of Comics
This is truest a great collection of Comics 😬. Still enjoy reading these...
Renewed without intimation
My renewal was done without intimation. And no one is responding for cancellation of the subscription either. Still no response after so many days.. And there is not even option of cancellation of renewal on the app. Pathetic..
Great app
This app is really amazing. For the first month, you get the books for free. It is my first month and I am really enjoying the books. I really am happy about learning my Indian culture. It is just sad that the books are free for only one month. I WISH THAT THE APP IS FREE FOREVER!
Not able to read any book
When I press the buy option, it errors out with messages “could not find product in store “
First class. Brings back the lost innocence.
It’s lovely to re-read all the Amar Chitra Katha Books all over again. Brings me right back to the growing up years when we learned most of our Indian Mythology and Parables and Morals and Fables through Amar Chitra Katha. Now to have them all perfectly accessible in Digital Form, is such a pleasure. Reading these books brings back that sense of innocence of the 1970’s and 1980’s when the world was not quite as greedy, corrupt, crass, commercial and money and acquisition focussed as it has become today in the 2020’s. Truly this is Kaliyugam and truly we are rapidly closing in to the time of Kalki Avataram.
Please read How to cancel subscription
Hello I have tried amar chitra katha which was given by times prime and given my bank details but after installing i dont find application useful so i have uninstalled it and forget. After free period over they have charged 1100 whooping amout without my concern or mail or reminders. They dont have any subscription cancellations feature on their application. After sending two three mail i dont receive any reply. Its a frod with innocent customers. Please return my money else i have to take legal action.
Nice App
It’s a pretty good app with good books, The only downside is that it only works on mobile devices.
Sardar Vallabhai
Sardar Patel is a great read. Shows how the greatest man India produced( not Gandhi not the vile Nehru) unified India. India should cry for having not given him his due. Thanks ack for this great compilation
App promises a lot..but underdelivers
For a lot of us, ACK evokes nostalgia, and that’s why I signed up for this app. Also that the kids could also get introduced to this world. The app struggles massively. Tried the Mahabharata vol 1 and after the first time where it loaded, the title just doesn’t load. Very frustrating user experience!! Please do something to restore faith …and to not destroy some of the fond memories that brought us to your doorstep
Great but.....
The stories are great just they used to be when we were young. Same pictures, brings our childhood back! However, the app crashes suddenly, please help!
