Great app
Easy to use
Recent updates breaking core functionality
Updates in the recent months have left me looking for anything else. All laps recorded this month show the g meter completely wrong. Speed updates with external gps aren’t as accurate anymore, glitch up and down. App crashes when play a video file. I have to force quit the app and try again to get it to work. A previous weekend I only got one lap recorded successfully. The other 3 sessions the recording never started. Extremely frustrating. I also spent the money to buy race render to pair with this app and now regret it. My track addiction/ race render combination is unusable.
Great for international racers
Being able use any big track around the world is a huge plus. Would be nice if it could support streaming music at the same time but that might be a tall order.

The compare laps view doesn’t work on the mini map
Latest version is not good.
App has been 5/5 stars the last few years until latest release early this year. It was super simple to plug and play with iPhone in a windshield mount. Latest release includes support for a lot of features and devices, but isn’t easy to use. It didn’t record anything my first 2 sessions, and has a lot of bugs. The last session I got it working but the video was blurry and not usable. Looking into buying a Garmin Catalyst. Track time is precious and I don’t have the patience or time to mess around with 100 settings when I’m in the grid before a race.

New app is junk
I have been using TA pro for years in Autocross this new version has many software glitches with connectivity problems. The problem is with HP tuners that now owns this mess. Their technical support is non-functional only by email. I have been trying to get simple answers for two months with no help. Don’t waste your time or money on the Pro app.
Worked Great minus OBD2
Worked Great today at Laguna Seca. The 3rd party GPS worked well.. OBD2 wouldn’t connect though. Not sure if it’s a iOS issue or track addict.
Strictly an on-device app
It’s great for what it does, but you need to pay for RaceRender for it to be anything other than an entirely local, on-device product. It’s theoretically possible to offload the files from your device, to a computer/cloud storage, and then load them back onto a different phone. It’s a cumbersome process, but it’s theoretically possible. It just isn’t actually possible. It simply does not work. The video and data files will transfer, but the text file needed to tie them together will zero out, so when you load it back the video files will show as having loaded but there will be no video available in the app. Basically this app is awesome as long as you only need to see videos captured on your current phone.
Newest update has connectivity issues
The latest update doesn’t allow me to connect to a MPVI2+ device anymore to check live data. It’ll freeze the app if I try to select it.
A great auto cross tool.
There is no better way to compare and analyze your performance and the vehicle performance than repeated tests of a fresh course. Because Auto Cross courses change every race, the slaloms, acceleration, braking and the shortest (and quickest) track are easier to spot in side by side comparisons that track addict provides. The set up for each race is easy and the ability to use RaceRender to create comparative movies is a great teaching tool as well. I have used it in 3 different cars in over 10 years of racing. I highly recommend it especially to rookies trying to better understand their own racing.
New update and app crashes
Well it was one of my favorite lap timers. Newest update however and it keeps bugging out and not recording sessions. Would occasionally happen with the previous version of the app but this past weekend I couldn’t get a single session recorded and logged. Seemed to be an issue with integrated iPhone gps which has never been a problem before. 2 stars for the good times we had together in the past but I’ll have to buy something more reliable.
Pretty good app
So the free version was okay. Not enough storage for that. Bought the whole version and that should be awesome. Bought it last year but that was my last track day of the year. New season is here and I’m ready. Let’s hope this app is too!
Video is painful
This new interface is NOT good. Getting video to record is spotty at best and it only gets worse from there… want to watch a specific lap, forget that. The video always starts at the beginning. Setting a lap you want to watch is pointless. I had no choice to switch a few years ago and it was fine. This new interface/version is junk. And support? Forget that.

I’ve been using this app for about 4 months and it was good, until I had a money race and the app froze… not to mention having to pay the 8.99 over again after stating it was only one time
Impressive
Used this for the first time on a couple runs this weekend, and was blown away by the amount of useful insights it can generate just from my iPhone alone (no OBD2 dongle). Well worth the cost if you want to improve your driving.
Complete Garbage after the 5.0 update 3 months ago
On iOS the app is completely bricked now. Video’s will record at 1080p 30fps regardless of what settings are used. App hangs reading OBD to the point it needs to be force closed. App doesn’t always prevent phone standby when recording causing the whole session to not be captured. Can’t even view older recordings properly. DO NOT pay for this app. It was great before the updated ui. I wish I could have the previous version back, but I can’t. Sucks I paid for something that the new developers then completely broke.
TrackAddict iPhone
TrackAddict is a great mobile app. I use it for every autocross and track day. And nothing beats it for the price. However, Race Render on PC doesn’t seem to like the video files from the iPhone. Only the audio and data files will load.
Latest update is a disaster
I was very happy with Track Addict and have been using it for over a year. The latest update is a disaster. My settings got reset and multiple features aren’t working correctly now. I’ll update my rating once all these issues get fixed but for now find a different app to use.
GPS data vs Vehicle speed data!! Pls give an option to use.
Giving 3 stars as when using on a iPhone the speed telemetry was spot on as it was using the vehicle data. Upgraded to iPhone 16 and now app used the gps data which is laggy and not helpful especially in analysis. However the app still captures the vehicle data and would be a great feature if you can select between gps data or vehicle data for speed options plus any others to which would be then overlayed on the footage. Please make this simple change! Other than that this app is perfect for my needs.
Great app!
I do enjoy this app I payed for the full version to save race data and the only down side I’ve found so far is the exporting of race file data through the app it doesn’t work properly I have not tried to file transfer on PC yet but when I do I will update this review. This app is spectacular I’ve been using it for rental karting at and outdoor track 40-45mph I have a iPhone 13 so the gps isn’t as great as it could be but I hold 1-7 meter accuracy from my jeans pocket. The feature of being able to draw your own track was extremely nice given the kart track wasn’t listed but I was able to outline it pretty accurately my lap times were only about .5 sec difference from the tracking the facility has on the karts. I haven’t been using for video only because technically speaking your not allowed to have your phone on your person when racing… hence the pocket. But the core data. Being able to create sectors and compare laps and having all the race telemetry filters ie. gforce,speed,elevation,braking/acceleration zones, is very useful lots of tools to play around with and it can have a great impact on how you drive in the future.
No support from HP Tuners
Used to be good but now it has missing gauge options that previously were available. Also data such as boost in app doesn’t match in Racerender 3 which the company hasn’t updated in years. I also have to mention the deceptive camera options shown on the app. Ie back camera and lidar camera are same. Triple back camera is just the same ultra wide camera 🤦🏻♂️ I don’t understand why put these here? There’s no mention in the full tutorial because it’s outdated 👎🏻
Good but could be so much better
Really good, but a couple of things: - update the tracks to include the sectors - allow front and back camera of the phone simultaneously (like dragy) - update the interface Other than that it’s great!
no infinity focus!! so bad video!
works great except the camera function is useless because there is no way to force an iphone 16 pro to focus on infinity! So it always focuses on the windscreen! How can it be this stupid! ? Help system / google says there’s an infinity enable option but there isnt one. So app almost useless!!

Get faster & Capture Video
Wow! I used TrackAddict for the first time this week, and I was blown away. The split times and section analysis are fantastic, even right in the app without a computer. The lap visualization summary is so cool! My family also appreciated that I could just share my 1:35 fastest lap instead of forcing them to fast forward through 30 minutes of footage. I highly recommend this app!
Latest update killed the app
I updated to the latest version. It seems to connect to my KIWI OBD it displays no data. Connection to XGPS 160 is in and out. Sometimes video, sometimes not. No actual video button on display like before. Does not stop recording at finish line. You have to take the phone out of the mount and turn it to portrait mode to manually stop recording. Turn a relatively good app into a POS.
Excellent - except the video…
Great app, does all the things in terms of lap data, more than I can use! Only letdown is the video, which randomly stops recording mid session. Not sure if there’s a time limit or what but it would be good to fix this.
Needs updating
App design is old and cumbersome. I was recommended a newer app called “Track Attack!” at the PCA autocross and it’s easier to use and saves your video straight to your photos. I recommend that newer app.

Great app, please keep supporting
This app is surprisingly good and easy to use. Combining this with my GoPro Hero 3 and then using Race Render to produce the videos makes this a great low-cost alternative to purchasing a dedicated standalone GPS/telemetry/video unit like a catalyst. Please keep updating this app and providing support for the free and paid versions, including the Race Render editing software.
Update broke almost every
Since the big app refresh I keep finding new issues. Before it worked great with only occasional minor issues, now I’ve had constant problems with video recording and playback, setting up custom start/finish for autocross, OBD telemetry syncing, GPS not starting laps, etc. It’s basically completely unusable now.

Usavo questa app per fare video in moto con la gopro. Non riuscendo a collegare la hero8 (prima avevo una hero3), ho comprato la versione Pro, per poi scoprire che non fa connettere comunque la gopro hero 8 (pare non sia compatibile) . Non lo dice da nessuna parte: è scoretto e cercherò di avere il rimbirso!
Weak GPS
I have been using this for two years now, it’s not good at receiving GPS signal and therefore lap time and track configuration are not tracked properly. Sometimes it does not know when a lap is done and will bundle multiple lap times into one lap.
Great little app!
I’m an occasional user. I do a few track days a year. So I was just looking for a lap timer. I was blown away when this FREE app was able to record 4k video and give me top speed, breaking points, overlays, g-force and sector times. My track (and I bet yours, too) are already mapped and ready to go. Very happy with this app. Keep up the great work!!
App update is a disaster
Many things are not working now. The worst, I cannot go to a single lap video for my existing session or new session, and no more speed overlay on videos. The setting is there but it does not work, Also in the new app I have no way to know if my GPS 160 is connected or not and the list goes on. I want to get back to the older one, that at least works.
Great app
The app was a little confusing to use at the beginning with selecting the track, but after a few YouTube videos, this app is definitely a treat. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt like I needed to write one. Only issue I may have is I can’t seem to see or find anyway to organise my runs into a specific folder. Unless when it puts into a automated folder. And when you rename the run, it takes it out of the folder. Other than that, it’s great app for the price and beginning friendly. :)))
Not a great experience
I tried to use this app several times at a track day recently with ZERO results. When another person at the day asked me what I was doing on my phone I told him about the app and he stated that he had exactly the same issue and he had deleted it in frustration. Good hype no results.

It’s a very good app, for example I don’t need to buy it all for what it offer and what I need, but it’s important add another language, like Italian for have a best experience
Great App
As a novice driver this app allows me to see my progress around the track. It shows my breaking zones and where I am hitting the apex.
Ruined
As others have said , it was great and is now ruined. Same with the editing software race render. Nearly useless now doesn’t accept x265 which is what this records in with no settings to change it. It’s like they broke it on purpose….. Unusable in current state. Sad.

Loved it until
I was at the track last weekend and would t talk to my BLE sensor. Now it will talk but the videos don’t display the data correctly, even the old videos that used to work. No speed. Throttle is not calibrated, traction circle is a mess, etc. I loved it but now I’m very disappointed. A little QA goes a long way. Maybe pushing out a beta version would be a thought for the next major release. I hope the bugs get fixed shortly or I’ll have time go Garmin.
