New UI sucks
Used to be my favorite weather app but now it looks clownish and clunky. Will be uninstalling if UI isn’t switched back to previous version or improved to something more user friendly

Don’t listen to negative reviews . The new UI is great. Very easy to use. Has all the functionality I need in a simple easy to read design. Mine one request would be to add real time precipitation alerts. Love that it has all the features that it does without ads. Keep up the good work.

Bring back the old app, this new version is terrible, old app was so easy to use and read , used to be my goto app.
‼️ 🕦 Incorrect time zone
Hi your local time for displayed for Bali, Indonesia is incorrect. I suspect it’s on Jakarta time. Bali is the same zone as Makassar, Indonesia. Jakarta is WIB, Makassar is WITA. You have Bali on WIB when it should be WITA. Also, why don’t you display barometer?🌡️
App Review
Over the past several years I’ve had many weather apps, but decidedly this one is the best of them all. It is not only easy to read, but also easy to navigate.
Downgrade
Previous version was my favorite weather app. It had dewpoint and great photos too. Now we have the dumb musings of Kyle Whatever to remind us everything is horrible. Is he AI?

Blah Redesign
When I first downloaded this app more than a decade ago, I was looking for a neat, clean weather resource. My preference has not changed, but this app has. I deleted it today and downloaded a new app that has a clean, uncluttered display. This app was fresh, now it looks like the default app that came with my first iPhone. No thank you.

Great that you brought back dew points! I can use this weather app again! The cringey commentary is pointless and often wrong. Right now it says, “Comfortable for most activities.” Umm, it’s raining.

Storage hog
All of Yahoo’s apps are massive storage hogs. They just suck up more and more storage overtime and need to be deleted and reinstalled to clear space up.
Pretty close weather
The images are great and I am pleased with the hourly temperature. It would have been 5 stars if you could show the temperature in Greenwich or southeast London
My Current location is not Chandler, AZ…it’s Glibert, AZ 85295
I have used your app for over a decade. This last version says my current location is Chandler, AZ & I am miles from Chandler. I am in Gilbert, AZ southwest corner of Higley Rd & Ray Rd. Please fix your app. I have to continually swish to get my weather for Gilbert AZ 85295. TIA. Note: I have managed banking mobile apps as the Dir of IT. This is the most challenging update I’ve ever seen from your team & features were removed (such as barometric pressure & ‘at a glance’ sunrise & sunset) or partially available, & I seriously question if there were test scripts for all the changes or they weren’t followed possibly. Something got out without full regression testing. Hire me as a tester part-time (retired recently) because the latest version needs some cleaning, & I helped change a mobile app from 2 stars to 4/5 stars in less than a year. Change is good when features aren’t removed & it saves time & increases value. I hope the next release is very soon or this app will be removed, and it was so good except shrink the ads a bit. Thank you. I appreciate your efforts.
There is no Arabic language.
Arabic is not available. Why was it removed from the app's language settings?
Please return back to the former UI
Everything good just requesting you guys to return to the former UI, this current UI is not user-friendly. Also, I would like to see some countries’ weather but would not like to save them. So there should be an option like when I type in Boston, I can see the weather of Boston, but when I return, it should not be saved there should be an option to save it, and we have to click on it to save it so that long list of cities don’t come up upon the screen unnecessarily.
Lost my town
During a recent update, Yahoo Weather has changed my default weather to a town quite a distance away. When I try to add it, the app no longer recognizes the town. I can find it by zip code but I can’t make it my default. And the weather pattern now is quite different between the two. At this point the app is useless to me.
Make a light mode version
The previous version of the app was fine but this new compact flat design bothers me a lot that it’s perpetually dark mode. Not everyone uses dark mode. Make a light mode version that is togglable in settings.
You messed up my app!😡
I have been using this app for over 10 years. This last upgrade is a downgrade for me. I had saved several cities because I traveled between them; they’re gone and I have to reenter them. And when I first went into the app, it didn’t recognize me at all! There was nothing wrong with the app before. You should have followed the axiom of it’s not broke, don’t fix it!
Shrunk
The latest update has made the eligibility worse. Where are you used to be able to see the high temp predicted for each day, now it’s the range from low to high with s line in between - and it makes the text really small. Much less usable, disappointed.
Time
WHERE IS THE TIME ?Not happy with the update as you have eliminated THE TIME which I love to be able to know the weather with family around the country along with TIME in their time zone!
It WAS So Good
This used to be my go-to weather app. I loved the accuracy, the functions, the layout. With the new update, I can’t see weather earlier than 7 am hour by hour. You do realize not everyone’s day starts at 0700, right? I mean, other hours exist. I’ll be deleting soon if this isn’t addressed. Really stupid update. Incredibly stupid.
Recent update a disappointment
I’m downgrading my previous 5* review. Your new update is sadly the reason why I deleted my previous weather app: too cluttered and redundant. Specially those pesky colored bars between low and high temperatures. Also weather icons became microscopic and thus useless: their previously prominent size and visibility were much more useful for a quick glimpse of weather evaluation. Unless reverted these, changes will make me to look for a better app.
New format
Ok so since the new update I can’t delete the city I live in on the app, it shows my city twice with the name and one more time with the zip code. I have tried everything to delete it. So in other words before I swipe to check other cities I have saved on the app I have to look at my city temperature three times.
Missing previous information
The new format does not include Dew Point or source of pollution in air quality. As someone with an ozone sensitivity, knowing that level is up is critical.
Best Weather App!
I’ve used several weather apps and Yahoo Weather provides an accurate overview of daily weather in an easy to read format. My only question is how to delete locations. Before the latest update and redesign, it was very easy to delete a city location. Now, I can see the list of selected cities, but there’s no option to delete. Other, the app is great!
Widget with Wrong City
After the latest update, the widget on my Home Screen displays New York. When I tap into the app, it has the correct city. And I don’t like the black background which can’t be changed.

You say you update the app as often as possible - well please don't. It's so annoying that you keep changing it. Leave it alone!!
Update Lost Feature
I’ve had this app forever. It was super clean and had all of the data I wanted. For those of us that walk, Dew point is used to gauge how much water to bring and comfort. That metric was removed.
Gone Downhill
If I had reviewed this app before it’s recent update/downgrade I would’ve given it five stars. But now I’m barely giving it three. No comment on accuracy because every Weather app is just making wild guesses it seems. Beauty? Sure. The app is more attractive. Period but I don’t go to a Weather app because I need beauty. I go to a Weather app because I need information. What I particularly am unhappy with with on this current upgrade is that the previous 15-day forecast has been reduced to just a week. The app previously did and still does provide the “Current Location“ initially I used to C and be able to tap on my list of other cities, select the one I wanted to see and get the weather forecast for that city. Now I’ve got to tap the row of dots on the bottom repeatedly one after another until I finally get to the city I want.. and then again to bring it back to “Current Location”What a pain in the A.
Great weather app!
I tried other weather apps over the years but always returned to Yahoo’s weather app. The app runs smoothly, never crashes and the design is intuitive and really well done! Is there room for improvement? Of course there is and that goes for all apps. What I would love to see is prediction by minutes for those of us who like to go for walks without getting drenched or a thunderstorm out of nowhere. Just an idea! Keep on doing what you’re doing. Two thumbs up 👍👍
Awful
I dislike the new design. I so enjoyed looking at the various photos of a location. Now, you can barely see the image. Unless it improves, I will delete the app. There are many other weather apps I can choose from.
Great app but…
Great app which picks my location exactly (unlike the Met Office one) the only downside is it only gives you the current day, so no forward planning is possible.
App redesign removes critical feature
I’ve been using this app over all the alternatives for years, for its clear, clean design, and one killer unique feature: the ability to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit with one tap on the main screen, without diving into a menu. Now with the redesign, the app is overall more jumbled, busy and quite frankly generic looking, and crucially, changing temperature units is hidden inside the settings. Please bring this back!
Took away best feature
The new version no longer has radar history. If you want to see the direction a storm is moving, you no longer can. I’ll look for a new weather app.
Yahoo-time to update for iPhone X
Update July 30, 3026: I’m loving the new redesign and have made it my go-to app for weather. Thanks for the no-ad version and a great looking interface! Tried a few other apps in recent months but have come back to Yahoo Weather again. Love the widget in iOS 11. Hoping for the iPhone X update soon...but still looks good. Still want that ad-free version but the ads are much less intrusive now. It would be nice to have some additional customisable features such as adding your own photos of various locations. I live in hope.
Disappointed: Dropping Arabic support is a massive step backward!
I have been using Yahoo Weather for a long time, but I am extremely disappointed with the latest updates after the removal of Arabic language support. It is completely unacceptable for a major global weather app to drop support for a language spoken by hundreds of millions of people around the world. Ignoring such a massive user base makes the app practically useless for Arabic speakers and shows a complete lack of respect for international users. What used to be one of the best and most beautiful weather apps has now become a failure due to this poor decision. Please restore Arabic language support immediately, or you will continue to lose loyal users!

New version excludes dew point, important if you want to determine if the humidity is too high for open windows.

Loss of functionality
I like the new layout for sure. However they have take. Away the ability to manage the locations you monitor. I add a location if I am going on holiday and then delete it later to keep ones I want to monitor. 😞😞😞
New update took away my favorite graphic
My favorite graphic is the one at the bottom that used to show the sunrise and sunset and where you were on that arc. And now it’s gone. 😢. Please bring it back.

Terrible update
I’ve been using this app for many many years and I always loved the options it gave. Now with the new update you added things that take up too much space like pollen, UV and air quality and took away dew point…one of the most important readings. You also took away the sunrise sunset and wind turbine graphic which was nice to be able to get that info at a glance. Along with the 10 days at a glance. Bring back the old and put your new things at the bottom.

Nice pictures, decent information but…
Why can’t the locations be shuffled around? And allow the user to pin the location of their choice? Would be handy for widgets etc.
iOS & iPad Widget Not As Good
Please bring back the style of the old widget for iPhone and iPad. The widget in its previous form had much more informative and was easier to read. Unfortunately, my iPad updated the app automatically and the widget isn’t as good as it used to be.
