What people like
- Simple and easy to use
- Developer listens and adds requested features
- Great for picking tasks or chores
What they complain about
- Keeps crashing when you open it
- Random numbers are not truly random
- Ads charge without telling the price
Very useful
The number generator is flexible enough to do what I need and simple enough to understand how to use to do what I need.
You cant copy the number?
Am I missing somthing or is there really no way to copy the number to paste it somewhere else?
Good but has a few
It does exaclty what it sas on the tin, but sometimes it generate a number but the app is just blank - I have to quit and reope the app in order to see the number history and find the generated number. Other than that its an easy and simple to use app.
Would be good if it wasn’t buggy
The app refuses to open every few days after I start using auto generate. Haptic feedback sporadically turns on after I turn it off. I sent an email to support and it’s stuck in my outbox.
Keyboard Bug
The latest version is unable to change the numbers as there is no keyboard on the iPad. The iPhone version is ok
great for musicians
Use it for scale practice - super easy to use
Watch version useless
Only generates between 1-100 on the Apple Watch with no way to change the range.
Question
Hi There Just wondering if you can Bluetooth this app to the the TV
BEC
Often repeats the same number over and over
Super easy and works
Works great! I use it for random putting distances when practicing
Possible flaw
I downloaded the app to use as an extension so I could run some simulations on my phone without internet. However my simulation began to show some odd results, and it seemed that I was getting a lot more very high numbers than very low. I then decided to test this and generated 85 more numbers between 1 and 100000, as required by my simulation, and recorded them, and found that I got 4 numbers in the 99000s just in the 85, the odds of which are 0.000000005, impossibly small. This matched the phenomenon that I was seeing in my simulation, although even more extreme. Perhaps it’s the size of the range? I would also generate them in pairs, and then clear them, and it seems the first number generated was more likely to be very large than the second, so perhaps that was somehow related? It is of course possible that I got a set of numbers that were far higher than most, and then drew impossibly small odds in my test, but it is very very unlikely. Maybe the algorithm’s results over a large sample average out to the median value, but aren’t equally distributed across the range? Whatever it is, I think it is probably some sort of bug that needs fixing, hopefully I provided enough information to help.
maybe needs better seeding?
simple to use. I run weekly raffles in an online guild, and have used this for a couple years. recently i’ve noticed that the numbers have noticeable patterns — like if I need to reroll from a group of six (same winner as last week), it will often give me the same number several times before I can get a different one. that worries me about the randomness…
How much
So bought a sandwich £2.99 removed adds £.2.99 refreshed and still showig remove adds before i can use sliders 😬 apart from that, perfect
Works as advertised
It does exactly what you need it to do
Doesn't work
Just a blank blue screen
Great App!
We use this for our golf groups to generate random numbers to determine which holes we use when counting scores. I made a suggestion to add a feature to never repeat a number consecutively and Nick got right to work on it and added that feature!
Ok but
App keeps crashing on start up,you re install use then it repeats again
for my chores
i write down a numbered list of chores and use this app to pick which one to do next. very handy when i need some direction. i picked this RNG app specifically because of the recent updates as well. i didn’t want to download an inactive app
Buggy
Occasionally just won’t open. Not very useful.
Lots of great features, but it could use one or two more
Hey, this app is really useful! I'm a Spanish major and one of my weaknesses is numbers, so I like to let it autoplay while I translate as I, say, do the dishes. I would happily pay money for two developments: that I could let it autoplay with the screen off/the app not open, and if this were available in other languages as well. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the app!
OK as far as it goes
The voice function does not work on my copy. I am using it to draw raffle ticket numbers on screen during our club meetings. Some formatting choices over numbers, text and animation would be helpful. A bit 'bare bones' but then it doesn't claim to be anything else. I suggest adding some bells and whistles and charging £2.50.
Love this app!
I started using this app a year ago because I wanted to break my natural tenancy to do things step-by-step in a linear fashion. Life doesn't happen that way. So I decided to use this app to encourage me to begin prompting at any old place every day when journaling. And it has been the best decision. I particularly appreciate that the app maintains a history of the numbers that I have used.
Was a great app before this new version
This new version changed several things. Liked about this app. Auto generating speed is too fast, and cannot set by timer. Terrible!
Now it’s perfect!
This has all the features I was looking for, including speech and adjustable speed. Only one thing needs to be added: a “STOP” button. UPDATE: The developer saw my review and added a simple “play/pause” button. Perfect! Thank you Nicholas. Nice job.
New update doesn’t work good
I type in a new number and then it goes back to the old one after
Most useful app I ever got!
This app will get rid of all your confusion and just give you a random answer. Very useful!
Not random.
It will do the highest number lots of times.
Slight problem
This app is pretty good. You can use it in many different ways. However, I tried entering a negative number and it didn’t accept it. So I was wondering if you would be able to make negative numbers a thing.
App crashes
This app works great unless I connect my iPad to a VGA monitor and then it crashes. I don't have a problem with any other app, video, etc
Why I love Nick
This app is great. And so is Nick :)
Do Not Click Remove Add
When you click Remove Ad this app proceeds with a purchase without informing you of the costs. Ag the time of writing I still do not know how much has been deducted from my account. Proceed with caution.
green slider is broken
This is useful, but no matter where the green slider is, it maxes the green out. Even if I set the green slider to zero, it still maxes out.
Okay.
It is an okay app. I wouldn't give it 5/5 stars though.
Does what it says on the tin
Lots of options for random number generation. I use it all the time.
Let see if this works :)
I pray and I hope this one could help me. Thank you!
Good generator. But
If organized differently, this application would be terrific for those doing sports and competition draws. For this application to work for a referee, the app would need to have seven numbers generators on the page at the same time. I would set them up 1x2. Button. Result 1x3. Button Result 1x4. - Same - 1x8 1x16 1x32 1x64 Then, the referee could push the button for the relevant competitor and placement into the draw. I don't need to maintain a history. But, I do need to be quickly get to the right algorithm. (Top or bottom half, 1 out of 8 spots, 1 out of 3 spots, etc). But, to make this convenient - the 7 choices must be on one page and set up - up front. Doing this would make this application relevant to referees who set up the "trees" for competitions.
Perfect for my needs
I use this everyday to make purchase order numbers…it’s simple and I never have to worry about duplicating numbers…
Broken
Crashes when you attempt to generate a number. 0/10
Good
A good app does exactly what is says on the tin
