This app is amazingly accurate
I recently lost my laptop and I couldn't locate it using FindMy for some reason as it wasn't working properly but I'm so glad i had this app installed on it cos found it right away I think maybe cos it uses Google Maps instead. Phew what a relief! Thanks so much to everyone at Hidden App - keep up the great work!
Caution required
I have been using this app for years, or at least, I have been paying for it. Support has never been good, but the app provided that set-it-and-forget-it sense of security. However, for over a year, my account has been showing as expired, with no access via the app or website. I just assumed that I'd forgotten to renew, so I decided not to bother. Imagine my surprise when reviewing my paypal payments (something I clearly don't do often enough), I find that I've been paying a subscription all along. I cancelled future payments and have written to ask for a refund of the latest payment, but I'm not holding my breath.
Battery consumption too high
Unfortunately, the battery consumption is too high and I can’t see any improvement
latest update kills my battery
i noticed after i did the most recent update my battery on my less-than-a-year-old phone would require me to charge much more frequently. looking at the battery usage, this app uses more charge than anything else now! had to turn off the permissions to everything to keep my phone from draining constantly, and now i’m not sure the point of keeping this app.
Fantastic app
This is a great app for tracking theft. I used this app to track my stolen device. And I am able to track my stolen device with the person who stole it silently without even suspicious of any kind of hacking or spying. All thanks to an old friend of mine who is a great invisible hacker oraclehacksunlimited at Gmail.com he is the one who recommended this app for me. Try him today and give thanks later. He is a great hacker indeed.... He’s into any kind of hacking like Binary lotto numbers GPS Locator detector Phone tracking Spying of phones Car tracking Speed tracking CCTV camera detector, etc A trial will convince you
Trying to cancel my subscription and it won’t let me
I am very unhappy about the fact that I can’t cancel my subscription.. this needs to get fixed because I’m tired of having to lock my card so that I don’t get charged for something that I don’t even use
Disappointment
It is probably a great invention but all the enthusiasm dies when there is no mention of price at first and then BAHM an upgrade is offered but still no mention about price. Then one chooses to upgrade and then, my friends, your are stuck FOR EVER! It is called a “GOOGLEONIAN” maneuver to keep all the “sheeps” from running wild because the sheeps don’t like to be kept in the corrall. Otherwise great app!
Desktop version works better
Desktop version works amazingly, however I had to give it three stars because the iOS version requires the Password to be disengaged for a picture to be taken, which makes it less useful. I didn’t see this indicated clearly anywhere on the site, before I acquired my license.
Great app
Helps us a lot. Would recommend.
Hackers
App will not delete my account Saying wrong password and I know 200% it’s not wrong. directing me to sites that do not exist! I’m mad and very Angry that they have my data and all phone information
App needs to be updated to work with Face ID
App only works with Touch ID or passcode. Modern FaceID iPhones need to enter passcode to unlock. Unacceptable in 2019-2020 era.
Nearly but not quite
This app is a little odd. If you use the Mac OSX hidden app to track the location of your MacBook, iMac etc in the event of theft then you will be sold on this idea. It's a great idea to getting your stolen property back. Whilst the iCloud service gives you location natively the picture function in hidden gives you an insight into who stole your stuff. This iOS App is flawed because:- 1. You can unregistered app if the device has not been set to test mode or stolen in the online control panel. So the thief can simply unregistered the tracking before you set the device to stolen. 2. It only takes a picture and reports back if the app is accessed on the device and only if the device is set to test mode or stolen. 3. The app is not hidden and can be uninstalled. You can stop the app from being uninstalled if you set iOS restrictions to restrict the install and removal apps - great idea do this. Okay... this app could be made 100% better by:- 1. Removing the ability to unregistered the device from within the app. Leave this to be undertaken from the online control panel. 2. Always send pic and location when the app is opened - regardless of if device is reported stolen in online control panel. This way data would be captured. Great services and whilst iCloud gives a location, this gives you a face!
Love the app
Absolutely love the app and the service it provides. Couple things that are confusing that you guys can hopefully fix... 1. You keep promoting version 2.0, yet I’m on version 1.9.7, at least according to the app I installed from the App Store. I’m now making the assumption that you maybe forgot to update the version number visually to 2.0 from 1.9.7? I have to assume I’m on the latest version... FYI the link you provide to download 2.0 tales me to the app I currently installed, which appears as 1.9.7. 2. Initial account login doesn’t provide me the ability to choose a password management solution (like 1Password) to enter my credentials, even though once signed in, the secondary sign in does allow it.
Bogus!
I downloaded this application, entered my eMail Address and Created a Password. When I attempted to register my iPhone 13 Pro Max, a message appeared stating: “ERROR Unable to log in with provided credentials - error code 100500 OK”. Not okay with me! No avenue provided to contact those whom are offering this application in order to seek a remedy. Humbug…..
Abandoned app? Zero support!! Fishy...
For a security app, trust is of the essence but how can we trust an app with no updates and no reply to customer inquiries? Apple shares some blame for letting so many third class apps be part of the App Store. What's the point of if making the best smart phone when you allow mediocre software?
Trial version!
Please make a trial version! I'm interested in using this but want to see how it affects battery life over time... Also, I take its only secure if you have a passcode on your device?
Left my MacBook Pro st airport security
I was in the Philadelphia airport and forgot my MacBook Pro at security. I had no idea where I left it. Used the app to alert the security to contact me. Was able to get it back with no problems! Highly recommend.
Fraud and I don’t know how or why?Anyone else with this on their iPhone please report to FTC
Fraud
Not worth the price of admission
The tracking data takes up to Fifteen minutes to show up and when it does it's not always accurate. Today, I was running it in Test mode, and it shows my laptop at my mothers' address even though I'm at work.
It works, I think, but...
Agree with other reviewer. Support requests go unanswered. I asked a few questions about the iPhone version and no response. As for the app. It kind of works. When I went online and did test mode for iPhone it told me the general location but a third would actually need to open a calendar alarm looking notification for you to get any photos of them. Not sure if they would even bother opening a little calendar notification. Plus, you have to leave the app running all the time. Which means its constantly pinging GPS locations. Which probably means it'll run down your battery faster and might even use data. I think Apple's 'find my iPhone' is probably better than this. At least it's not constantly running and pinging towers and you have more options. Probably not going to be using hidden app at all once my subscription runs out anyways. Better, cheaper options out there and developer seems to be on full time vacation.
Great
Having misplaced my phone on a couple of occasions Hidden has been invaluable in locating my phone. Really useful and the app functions great on my phone.
Do you have a court order for a search warrant?
Someone better produce a legal document for this unauthorized remote injection. You fricking predator tools create basement hacking perverts who can’t socialize with the real world. Your app puts my life in danger. I want answers Now!
One major flaw...
This is a good start but with no authentication required to 'unregister' an IOS device, it's no security at all
Great app with zero support.
This app is great, it's easy to use, provides a measure of security in case your iDevice is stolen, works with multiple devices like the iPhone and iPad as well as Desktop machines. My complaint, however is with the horrible support that they provide (or don't, as the case may be). I've been trying to UPGRADE my account for days now, and the website errored out after charging for the upgrade but not applying it to my account. There's only a contact form on the site (no phone or email) and I can't for the life of me get a reply offering to help me with my issue. Even pinging the company via Twitter didn't work. So, while I love the app, I'm quickly falling out of love with the company.
Lifesaver
I have only had to use this app once but I was so glad I had it. Left my phone in a cab. Driver answered, then hung up and denied it until I told him I was tracking him and displayed a message on screen and sounded alerts. He mysteriously ‘found’ it and it was returned that day. Way better functionality than find my iPhone. Highly recommended!
This app is trash
I got this app maybe yesterday I was trying it out and it was running smoothly, I already set up my device with Apple configuration but it would not even lock my iPad nor would it remotely shutdown. I wasted my money of this crap for it not to even work. I want my money back or something.
Fair
But a but more info on the pricing to use it before downloading would be helpful.
Powerful anti-theft features
Love the ability to disguise the camera function to snap a photo of the thief without him/her ever knowing it. Smart features and intuitive design.
HiddenApp
Terrible couldn’t even sign in I think I’m still registered because the application was so terrible I couldn’t even get it to reset password!
Great Support/Great App
The app installs quickly and easily on iOS and MAC. Easy set up. Annual fee for three devices is cheap for a layer of peace of mind beyond Find My iPhone. I had an issue (of my making) and needed help from support to correct. Support responded quickly and worked patiently with me until the problem was resolved.
Not good
I was not able to track my MacBook Air
So worth it!
I use this on all my Mac devices and have now for 5 years. It is unobtrusive and the peace of mind is fantastic. Adding and deleting covered devices is incredibly simple. The test mode is flawless to verify that it works on your devices. Excellent interface on ios as well as OS X.
Don’t waste your $
This app sounded great- do I bought it. When my phone was stolen, I immediately turned on the app and reported it “stolen”. When I toggled the “tracking” or “send pictures “ I never received anything. While I have received tracking info from Apple, Hidden couldn’t do anything. I also tried to downgrade my service but wasn’t able to. This is a complete disaster
