This game is cruel and inhumane.
I have never played this game ever before and I never will. The reason why is that horse racing is a form of animal cruelty. Between 700-800 horses die from horse racing every year and we still keep doing it. It is clearly shown that the horse racing industry does not want you to find out about this because it took one person 3 days to find proof of a horse being put down on the race track. Also, it is proven that when the jockeys whip the horses with a crop it does not make the horse go any faster. Adding on to that is that the majority of racing horses are drugged, which is incredibly wrong and inhumane. Another fact is that a lot of jockeys use a buzzing device that is illegal, but does not stop them from using it, that hurts the horse badly. Therefore, this app is wrong and should not be supported due to the horse racing industry. P.S. The only reason I gave it one star is because it made me rate it to send this review. (I wouldn’t have given it one star if it wouldn’t have made me.)
Needs of the game
• Allow us to add friends to the races we are in • allow more dirt racing • make conditions like maiden special weight races , allowance races , thenG3 races , G2 & G1 •also allow us to enter more than 1 horse in a race Like allow us to have multiple horses in my barn in 1 race!!! • Add Tom Durkins Voice to call the races • add a thing to let us know the half way mile time and each quarter times , allow the tracks to be fast , soft , muddy , wet fast , firm , • different tracks , different surfaces , horse record and earnings , allow us to pick the distance of the breeze and how fast ,

Good game with some issues
I like this game and the mini things you can do besides just racing (training). Although unless u have a super good horse it’s hard to earn money, gems are also hard because u have to pay. I also like how u urself can race ur horse I just wish the controls were easier. Besides a few issues I like this game :)
How to ride the horse.
To ride the horse you have to save you stamina (when you are released from the gate) push the horse to the GOOD sign then stop. Don't let the horses stamina get to far down or you slow down. And trust me you don't want that to happen. When you are allowed to whip wait till the horses get close to you then whip on both sides as quickly as possible. There you have now just one your first race by riding! :D hope this helped
Extremely Confusing and Difficult
There is almost no instruction for how to play the game and it seems impossible to make money (you don't even break even if you get first place).

Boring and no real instruction.
Read the title. It has potential to be cool but it needs something more. It's very confusing and I never understood fully how to play... So I deleted it. I would not waste my time on it if I were you.

I couldn't wait to play this game when I got it but after two days I had no money left. I don't get y we have to pay money to exercise or to get in a race so I deleted it are you happy now change it do you don't have to pay to at least exercise the horses.

You should make it possible for people in the game to be interested in buying your horses. Like they do in real racing after certain amount of wins and by their looks.

It is really hard to win a race so you have to hire a jokey. BTW you get diamonds if you play and wait also you can name your horse hit the pencil thingy by there name. Overall a pretty good game.
Not a very good racing game
In the ihorse game you almost NEVER win any of the races. Even when you set it up to be really fast your horse goes to the way end. Otherwise the ihorse game is ok.
Not great
This game is incredibly hard to win money in, the controls in the race are hard to use, the horses require a lot of training which costs coins. Also there is no option to choose between different horses, so you just take whichever one shows up. This game needs to come with a tutorial or something, I've had it for quite some time now and I still don't know how to use it properly.

Seriously? You dont even start out with diamonds so you have to freakin buy them, what the hell of a game does that?! Dont download because i downloaded it and it was a waste of my time.

Long post here but I've seen a lot of people asking questions and hopefully I can answer some. You have to think like a trainer when prepping your horse for a race, think like an owner when choosing a race and think like a jockey if you are running in the race. You really gotta think about each move you make and learn from mistakes and experience. ;) You start out with a 3 star horse, he's good for Grade 3s but may have difficulty winning. Your horse is already fully trained so you don't need to do anything to him right now except race. You'll see lots of tabs. Press and hold them, you'll see what they're for. When you're at the yellow tab, you'll see more tabs which are for training. You can press and hold them too but I'll still explain them. These are the estimated effects that I've recorded after playing for 2 years. Carrot: increases energy and gives 5-10 lbs (I think it's really kgs but I just call em pounds ;) Gallop In Pairs: builds up speed and stamina, reduces weight by 2-5 lbs and reduces energy a little. Grazing: I don't know the precise effects, but it gives A LOT of weight, gives full energy and almost wipes out speed and stamina. O.o Barrier Trial: Reduces energy, reduces weight by 20-30 lbs but it increases his Start, Cornering and Temper stats. This is used to reduce weight if he gets overweight. Gallop 400 meters: your horse will run at a smaller distance. It increases speed and stamina a little too. Not sure about weight and energy yet. Gallop 1200m: the opposite of 400m training. He'll run at a longer distance that's within his range. Lead Training: your horse will run more towards the lead in races Back Training: your horse will run more towards the back of the pack. Also you might get a rare item which could cost a chunk but usually helps you. They are Big Carrots, Vitamins, Wheat, Beer, Mints and Ginseng. On your clipboard, you have stats listed. Speed and stamina are basic stats. You'll need to fully fill these bars so you can race. Next are start, cornering and temper stats. You can earn these stats to a certain extent by barrier trials, vitamins and racing, the rest is gained by upgrading tack (orange tab). These stats don't have to be full for a horse to race. Once they're full or at least high though, your horse will be at his prime. Next on the clipboard is distance, range, gender, age, weight and rating. Rating is gained by racing performance. 70 is what you start with, 60 is the lowest and 200 is the highest. You get more points if you win and even more if you win by a length or more. But rating isn't really important as far as I can tell. The last on the clipboard is style (indicating if he runs as a leader, closer, likes being midpack or at the back), sire (father), dam (mother) and star level. You'll be asked to use trainer mode or jockey mode once you enter a race. Trainer means you pick an Artificial Intelligence jockey. Pick one who's jockeying style fits your horse's running style if possible, picking a more expensive jockey gives you a better chance for a win. You will then see the field that's running with you. If you want, you can give the jockey instructions but these are complicated and the jockey might not do what you said for various reasons. You then watch the race or skip to the last 400m. Then you see the results and what you earned and go back to the home screen. I used to do trainer mode before but I prefer jockey mode cause it's kinda out of your hands in trainer mode. Still you can choose whichever part you want to play for your horse's racing. :) Jockey mode is tough when you start. It took me dozens of fails before I figured how to win. Get a good start, keep the horse where he likes to run, then make your way to the lead once your whip is activated. Starting speed is hard, you have to figure out yourself how to stop the moving line in the the right place. When you're off, hit the speed up button until you're up to speed. The 'good' box should light up. Be sure to stop pressing AS SOON as the speed hits the box or you'll lose some stamina. If you started well, stay where you are if its a front running horse or ease back if he likes it there. If you didn't start well, don't try to speed up more so you can get in the right spot. Wait until your horse settles, that is, stays in his position, and make up ground slowly if you have time. One rule is DO NOT EVER make your horse slow or speed up QUICKLY. He will lose stamina fast. If you need to change your position, urge him slowly forward by speeding a little and then pressing slow at intervals to make sure he doesn't go to fast, or ease him back. At about 800m in the race, horses tend to speed for some reason. You can't slow them and they sometimes lose stamina. Getting your green bar stats full helps this from happening. Also horses automatically speed up a little at a time if you don't do anything. At 600m you can move the horse. The outside will be clear running but you might lose ground. The inside is the shortest trip but you might slam into someone's back. The arrows won't appear in 1000m races since they're run on the straight. When you get the whip at 400m, try keeping a steady rhythm. I usually hit the whip button 2 or 3 times then wait a bit before hitting it again. Using the whip continuously will drain the stamina too soon. I hope that helps. There are competitions you can enter which give extra money and 6 star horses. They're described in the info tab (blue button with a "?", right side of screen). The info takes a bit to load, just wait and then press the gold trophy with a "?" Switch to English if you have to and then you can read about the four championships.

I really wish I could give this game 5 stars, but I got this game and it's WAY too easy to run out of money. Then you have to pay for it. This wasted my time.
Awesome game but..
Well I think you should be able to name you horses and breed them 🐴🐎🏇but it is fun to train and race with them. My horse Ringo is a quarter horse and he is faster than the game! Please update!🏇🐎🐴. -Horse crazy 4 Ringo

This game is so hard when it comes to races! The whipping part you don't even get anywhere !!! Can you sort this out !!! Make it easier !!!

I love the game over all but we should be able to breed our horses to get champions. Things like that and maybe we can earn money or gems off of putting stallions for stud.

Pros: * Beautiful graphics * Engaging game Cons: * Not as realistic as they claim it is * Need to invest a lot of money for decent amount of game play (free play didn't last long enough to convince me to invest) * Not enough instruction to help newcomers. This game is really fun but the controls in the race are very hard to understand. Other than that it is really fun!
Not actually 'free'..
This app lasted about an hour and then you can't actually progress any further… The problem is that you run out of money which you need to do absolutely anything in the game! When you run out of money you are then prompted to spend a ridiculous amount of money on what counts for very little in the game! Another app that tries to rip people off… Its a shame as the game is actually really enjoyable!
