⚠️ Very disappointing experience — I was charged twice I booked and paid for the transfer through the app, but when I arrived, the driver told me that the payment had not gone through and insisted that I pay in cash. I told him I didn’t have cash, and after a lot of arguing, he asked me to pay by card using his payment machine. I paid by card, but when I arrived at the hotel and checked my bank account, I discovered that the payment from the app had already gone through as well. So I was charged twice for the same transfer (3,400 TRY each time). This was extremely stressful and unprofessional. I strongly recommend checking your bank statement before paying again if a driver tells you that your app payment failed. I hope the company investigates this issue and refunds the duplicate payment.

البرنامج جيد لكن السواقين نصابين والمشكلة الكبرى لما ارسل لخدمة العملاء مايردون ابداً. I came with my sick wife to Turkey for treatment, but most of the drivers scamming us which makes our trip more miserable, whenever i tried to contact the support and send them about what happened. 100% ignoring us. Most of the time almost we are having a fight and calling the cops or the embassy.

Unreliable for visitors, cards stop working with no warning
I used BiTaksi for several trips in Turkey with my Bank of America credit card, which the app had already verified through an SMS text code. Then, without any warning or explanation, the app suddenly stopped accepting the same card. No notification, no error message that made sense — it just stopped working mid-trip planning. This left me stranded without a reliable way to pay for rides during my visit. For a service that tourists depend on, this is a serious problem. If a card is verified once, it shouldn’t just stop working randomly. BiTaksi needs a more dependable payment system for international visitors, or at least clear communication when something changes. Can’t recommend this app to other visitors until this is fixed.

Trip estimates are extremely deceiving where you end up paying close to double the high end of the estimate while the trip distance and time are the same. I tried other apps and it wasn't the same.

Fraud! They keep charging my card after paying cash. Avoid this app.
Avoid this app — they will charge your card for rides you paid in cash, and keep charging it after you remove it. I used Bitaksi three times in Istanbul. The first ride I paid by credit card through the app — no issues. For the next two rides I selected “Cash” in the app and paid the driver directly. The app confirmed cash payment both times. Two weeks later, both of those cash rides appeared on my credit card statement as “PARAM / BITAKSI MOBIL T” — for the exact amounts I had already paid the driver. I contacted Bitaksi and they insisted my card had not been charged, even though the charges were plainly visible on my statement. I disputed the charges with my bank and removed the card from the Bitaksi app entirely. About a week later — by which point I was no longer in Istanbul and hadn’t used the app in nearly a month — I was charged again! With the card supposedly removed and no recent rides, there was no legitimate reason for this charge to exist. I ended up cancelling the card outright, which is a serious inconvenience when you’re travelling in Europe with a US-issued card. Three rides, three billing problems. Use a different app.
Lying and stealing in the holy month
When I ordered a taxi on my phone, the app said about 1600 lira. But when we arrived at the airport, the driver started demanding 2,400 lira. I, in turn, tell the driver that a minivan or a Mercedes Benz trailer could have been called for 2100. We were lucky and we found 1 more family that was being cheated on by another driver and we had to call the police, who explained that they only owed the amount of 1800. Now I'm looking at my travel history and it says 1200 for a trip and 40 for services. There is a question why the month of Ramadan makes me so. Next time, only by card
error messages, cards rejected
It did not accept my credit card and if I did not have cash on me I would have been in trouble. I tried to give a feedback after typing my feedback on their app submit gave me "given data is invalid" or sth. read the comments here, the app is garbage, yoir credit cars wont work and driver will scam you. just use uber. They could try charging your card upon adding it to your app but like I said the app is primitive.
What’s the point?
I was under the impression that this app operated like Uber. To my great surprise, the final price was 25% higher than the one reflected in the app order originally. You will be charged by the meter regardless of what was displayed. There were plenty of taxis in the airport and I could’ve saved myself time instead of uploading and registering with this app. Don’t waste your time and get a regular cab.

Never had this problem with Uber, but basically I got charged twice because once it was time to pay, the app wouldn’t work. After I paid the taxi in card payment, I refreshed the app and saw it that the payment went thru. Never again would trust an app made by Turks who love to scam everything in sight.

Die App ist super. Das Taxi kommt sofort und du kannst den Weg verfolgen. Für eine alleinreisende Frau trauenswürdig. Allerdings wird eine Gebühr von 30 Lira abgezogen. Deshalb ein Stern weniger.

Easy to use and get around in turkey
Doesn’t accept international credit cards
The app has a non-intuitive interface and is pretty buggy. I tried using two different credit cards with it. It will take the card data, but then it isn’t able to charge the card, so I ended up paying in cash. Also, the drivers won’t honor the discounted rides offered by the app, as a result you end up paying more than what the app suggests before you take the ride. Don’t use it, unless you prefer to pay in cash or have a local credit card.
Got charged extra
I was in Istanbul for five days. During the first few days, I used Uber, connecting it to my MX card to avoid transaction charges, I was tempted to try this Bitaksi app. I got overcharged twice. What they do is tell you the payment verbally and won't send you on the app until they get their money, and by the time they send you on the app, they are gone, so you can't do anything. You just end up paying more money 😔.
Card Payment Didn’t Work
I had a Master Debit Card of a foreign Bank, it works normally everywhere in Turkey but it didn’t function when I wanted to pay for my Bitaxi journey. Also I didn’t like the fact that there are hidden fees, for example if you want to pay by card it is more expensive than cash payment and on top of already a service fee that user and driver pays.. I think next time I will try Marti TAG

An irresponsible and dishonest company
This company is absolutely terrible. The drivers are dishonest and manipulative — one of them scammed me by charging €50 instead of €5. I immediately contacted customer support through every possible channel, including calls and messages, but they did nothing to resolve the issue. The support team is completely useless, and the overall service is unacceptable. This company is full of liars and scammers. I strongly advise everyone to avoid using their services.
