Always great deals
Get several pop ups a day and in most all cases locate an item I use so saves me money even though I sometimes buy before I actually would have reordered. But in this day and age we all need to save whenever we can especially on every day use items.
Annoying Bug: Ads open from scrolling!
A recent update made it that ads open when accidentally used to continue scrolling through pages.

The app needs a way to exclude used and refurbished items from deal alerts. I am not interested in buying anything used and it is annoying getting deal alerts every day for this. Please add a filter to be able to exclude.

Bad buttons UI
New update brought blue "like" buttons. They are so distracting and feels that I already pushed the button. Pleaser remove old style buttons
My Search Engine for Best Deals
I am living in Canada but whenever I'm looking for best deal in the US, I always use Slickdeals for best deal at the time and I am always happy with the deals I have got.
Annoying ads
In general, this app is fine. This review is just to report one particular bug/annoying behavior. Typically, when scrolling through deals feed, if you tap anywhere and drag up up down, the list moves up and down, but it doesn't "select" whatever you inititially touched unless you do a single tap and release. This is how the app normally behaves for most situations. However, with certain ads in the feed, the ads will open browser links while scrolling in the feed if your finger initially touches the ad position, even if you don't tap and release. In other words, the ad will open when you tap and drag, if the initial position your finger touches is where the ad is located. This ONLY happens with aliexpress ads. Please fix this. Unintentionally opening trashy aliexpress ads is super annoying.

The listings need some moderation. The Amazon links seem to be the most reliable. Lowe’s and other retailer clearance deals are questionable.

One of my favorite apps for finding the best deals. I use it everyday it seems. Love the community and love the fact I’ve saved so much money!!
Incompetent developers
Font is too big now and ads still open when you scroll on them. Also says “an error occurred” like all the time now. Good news is the app is almost at a CS senior design project level now. Also has extremely choppy scrolling App is now having an issue where nothing loads. Textbook Slickdeals quality That time of the year. Ads auto open to generate extra revenue. Devs said they’d look into it 5 years ago but obviously malicious design. Unless they really are that incompetent. App will reload if I switch to messages app and back. Literally the only 2 apps open. Only happens with SD. 5 years later still looks like the code is written by a newbie. Basic web container would behave better than this Also it is quite remarkable to me that they push out “bug fixes” updates that don’t actually fix any of the extremely easy to replicate bugs with the app despite submitting bug reports over a year ago. Fascinating really

Every week it seems like they bury features more and more. Like the ability to just view one category. You have to go to search before you can then switch to category view. It’s better to just use the website for me. One less bloat app on my phone too worry about privacy
For Canadian customers...not so great!
I am just starting to use this app that I downloaded over a year ago, and it was so very disappointing to find awesome deals on the nice format, only to discover that the deals were available for Americans only. The app would be VASTLY improved if it could tell you if the deals were available for Canada, the U.S., or both, maybe with a Canadian flag and American flag to indicate this. Otherwise, it’s a great app for Americans, with a very user-friendly format. It would be amazing if someone actually reads this review and considers this suggestion or another better solution. Thank you!
Helps you find the lowest price.
In addition to finding the lowest price it tells you past prices in case you can wait for a lower price. Deals are easily categorized and searchable.
Newest update makes app lousy
Why in the world would you remove the quick access to categories. People are not going to use the app if it becomes next to impossible to figure out how to see what they want to see. I’m still mind-blown that someone agreed to the current layout as being the best choice. This is wildly off.
Auto opens ads in Safari
The app will auto open ads in Safari when you simply scroll vertically in a results page if your finger happens to scroll over the ad. This is extremely poor and unexpected user interaction. This issue hasn’t been fixed for years.

Bugs bugs bugs
When you click on a listing only the top half loads but not the comments then you have to go back out then back into the listing again 2 or 3 times before the comments load. This bug has existed for ages
Used to be great
Was a great app, but it is slow and takes up a lot of battery. Search function is pretty bad with missing results. Also it has been easier to accidentally click on ads while scrolling.

In Canada, but the only deals that are being seen are U.S. based, and with most crap coming out of the U.S., you pay just as much or more for shipping, not to mention the exchange rate. Do better

Every deal opens with blank comments by default.
Nice but not Canadian
Downloaded the app and immediately looked at local deals. One deal was in Washington State and the other in OC California. Not sure how that is local.

UI change for the worse
I used the app daily to keep an eye on specific deal categories, but now the categories button is replaced with giveaways, which I couldn’t care less about. Please add the option to change back!

Non stop expired deals
Staff posts non stop dead deals for Amazon. Hacks no longer work and coupon codes are never there. Been a huge waste of my time these past few months. SD is spam now and they get paid for clicks so they don’t care if the deals work anymore it’s all a scam.

Slickdeals has already saved me hundreds on items that I’ve been wanting to get but wanted to wait for sales to get them. Love this app!!!!!
Refreshes too much
When they updated this app it now refreshes way too much. If I'm researching something and switch over to chrome and then go back to this app it goes back to the home screen because it refreshes. Why on earth is it doing this? Honestly I'm about ready to delete this.
