I have been sent a sampler
Even though I have a years subscription I have been sent a sampler issue for 99p instead of the full version. I clicked on the 99p to see if I could get the full version instead I was told that they had trouble taking the payment but don’t worry no money as been taken. When I checked my bank statement 99p had been taken and I still haven’t got the full version. What is going on?
Not working on iso 26
Get a spinning wheel and the latest issue is marked to September 2022, but there are no issues available. Something not right.
Subscription/download issues on app
My subscription for this app is not let me read the latest issue and my library is empty, which I tried to restore purchases and didn’t appear. I had to pay the latest issue £0.99. Needs to restore my subscription or I need to subscribe for the annual one.

Why do I need to restore purchases each time I wish to download! This has been the same for the last two years. Come on get it sorted.
Good Mag, Bad App
I like the magazine and at roughly 60p an issue it’s decently priced too. Having the app makes it more convenient but it’s a little buggy. I struggled at first with the magazines getting stuck in ‘queued’ but now I have found if you press download on them and don’t move or touch anything else it eventually kicks in. And to not do more than one at a time.

I am finding the new app very difficult to understand where have all the back issues which I have paid for gone.The original app was much better and easy to use .
Don’t bother
There seems to be an ongoing issue. You pay up front but unable to download this weekly Mag. This has happened several times!! I won’t be renewing my subscription!
Needs to be interactive.
The layout and everything is very good and user friendly, but you can not highlight individual programs as a reminder. I won’t be taking out the full subscription.
Annoying
Even though I have subscribed, every time I try to download the next edition it asks me to pay. Am thinking of cancelling if this continues
Wonderful app
This tv magazine app is amazing. You can buy issues every week for £1 which is slightly more expensive 25p extra than in shops but I don’t mind paying the pound. Definitely worth reading both current and past issues online!
Needs updating to IOS 18
Every time I have to restore my subscription before I get the next magazine. Looks like they ignore reviews and it's been reported many times.
Application Is Dodgy
I’ve had a problem with What’s on TV with my iPhone and iPad since this morning. It’s not downloading any recent issues on my iPad. Then on my iPhone, had to try and delete and install the application again and now I can’t even purchase the magazine, or get my subscription to work again. Why am I paying for a subscription fee for a application that hasn’t even worked for me the whole day? I’m a regular reader of What’s On TV, and I seriously expect to get a better service than this. Please sort it out ASAP What’s On TV and Future PLC.
Slow
Love the magazine but App is really slow and always forgets I have Apple subscription and takes a while to upload really slow

Used to be good. Awful for last year and now worse than ever
Used to be a good app. Then about a year ago had to restore purchases every time used it and took ages to recognise subscription and not charge. Latest update awful. Has spinning wheel of death in main area and a load of French! Will not restore purchase of recognise subscription unless you delete and reinstall every time you want to use. Takes longer faffing with app than reading the magazine! I’d give it no stars if I could
Sick Of This.
I’ve cancelled my subscription once before. But thought I’d give it another go. I have an active subscription. But every time a new issue comes out it tries to offer me a free trial with 99p involved for some reason. I have to restore my purchases to download it. This new app is a complete failure. More trouble than it’s worth. Why scrap the old version that worked fine. You need to get your act together, or just take this rubbish off the store.
Frustrated
This App was great until the last update. Now it takes ages to load, frequently freezes, and often just closes. Needs sorting !

Absolute nightmare!!!!
I’ve been subscribing to this magazine for many years and used the app to start with. Like many others I had to keep restoring from settings in order to download my magazine and even then that wouldn’t always work. I decided to stop using the app and purchased via Amazon which was great, all those problems gone. That was until Amazon stopped selling it and I had to resort back to the app. I had hoped that within the time I was away the app would have improved, NO, it hasn’t and it’s just as bad as before. This has gone on for years and when you try to contact anyone with the issues, no one wants to deal with it and passes the buck! I now have a years subscription and I can’t read my magazine when it suits because once again I have to keep restoring it and I’m lucky if it works straight away. The developers of this app are an absolute disgrace and should be addressing this instead of doing nothing!!!! If I could give zero stars I would, obviously I do not recommend this app!!!!!!

Don’t buy an annual subscription
My annual subscription via Apple worked fine for 5 months then refused to download. The developers referred me to Apple whose Customer Service spent a long time one Sunday evening trying to get the app to work but with no progress. Further pleas for help to the developer have been ignored. Instead of saving money I’ve ended up paying double price for each issue.
Not working
I have been using this app for a while. Sometimes it works most of the time not. Have to reinstall or try restore purchases constantly to access new magazines each week. Impossible to get support
Too expensive
99p for a 75p magazine. No thanks.
Annoying app
Every single week I have to click ‘restore purchases’. Even though I have a subscription, it only offers me the 99p sampler. It takes literally hours for the purchases to be restored. So sick of this. Looking for an alternative now. Useless, frustrating and annoying.

Terrible app
Love reading this magazine and I’ve had a previous 1 year subscription and I did have to keep on restoring my purchases constantly. But I renewed for a second year in June time and since then I’ve had problems actually downloading the latest magazines as it keeps on getting stuck on download. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app and lots of other things to try to resolve this but to no luck. I contacted apple as my subscription was with them and they were very very helpful and I could see it was an issue with the app development. I would ring up the magazine/ app company and they just will not help you at all, they just repeat “as your subscription is with apple please contact them”. I got so frustrated in the end apple helped me to get a refund for my year subscription. It’s the magazines loss as they just would not help me in any way so my money has now gone to another online magazine instead.

Rubbish App
Like other people have said, I subscribed to this for a year and after a month or so it’s now asking me to pay per magazine even though my subscription doesn’t expire until august 2024. Tried deleting and re-installing the app but still can’t get access to the magazines I have paid for. Totally rubbish and not recommended 😡
