What people like
- Lots of useful tracking features
- Totally free with no ads
- Very easy to use daily
What they complain about
- App crashes constantly on launch
- Keyboard blocks your typing screen
- You cannot edit saved dreams
Amazing!
I love it! I get stressed really easily and want to write about my dreams. It really helps me get over being stressed. And ember all my dreams. I highly recommend it!
Donβt bother
First of all, they put the description area at the bottom of the page which should be the first thing because you want to get your dreams down whether theyβre still fresh. Instead thereβs all these questions and selections to make before you start writing. I went through it and wrote my dream down I hit save, and my work disappeared. It takes Work and concentration to get a dream down before you misremember it. Iβm very disappointed in this app. I think Iβll go back to a pen and a journal.
It finally works!
After literal years (I think four or five) the app has finally been updated and I have access to all my dreams again! Please, please keep it up! I really loved how thorough this was on Android and was incredibly disappointed to find I couldnβt get it to even turn on in iOS. The updates need to be more frequent as a lot of us were left stranded when the app kept crashing, with no word of updates for over four years. Itβs otherwise a great app with a lot of cool concepts for tracking your dreams.
Very Buggy
Crashes constantly, dreams I try to enter disappear, and when I try to edit specific dreams it will edit the wrong one.
I loved the concept
When I first used this it had where you could see your dream colors in tree format. Best concept idea ever! Then they removed it and just wasnβt the same. I would go back to using this app if they put the tree back! Will it happen! I am still waiting. π³
best app for organizing dreams
Love it! Others say this app crashes but it doesn't crash for me and helps me organize my dreams. It's helping me remember my dreams more as well.
Loved the app... when it worked
Used the app all the time for my dreams when it was working. Really upset now that I canβt log in and at least recover them.
Great but too much info
If I were to talk about the function and design of the app alone, I would give it five stars. It has pretty much everything: type of dream, mood, colours, a category for people, things, time changer if you are logging it in hindsight, theme changer for day and night and the option to choose a preferred theme, and most importantly, actual tracking overview. The reasons I am giving it only four stars are: upon signing up one had to give ALL information, including location (based on location services!) and a picture (access to photos) and had no choice in doing so, in order to even register. I immediately upon registering went to switch off access to both these things and read the app's privacy information, which is not included at the beginning while you're filling out all this mandatory information. Considering how private dreams are, it doesn't make me feel comfortable to know that they are not only associated with whatever information I put in, but also kept on a database. I find this exceedingly unnecessary and would rather have in-app advertising than something as privacy invading as the knowledge that my personal innermost thoughts are on some database. This is also why I don't recommend this app when people ask although it is the only good dream tracker app out there at the moment (trust me, I tried out several). There should be the option to log dreams offline. There should be the option to CHOOSE a country from a drop down instead of needing to give location access. There should be the option of not needing to add a picture if one doesn't want to. And you shouldn't need to give your date of birth! What the hell. The other negative things are minor and can be fixed and wouldn't detract from my rating, namely that the autocorrect does not work within the app - people who don't like autocorrect can switch it off, you know? I like autocorrect and I'm used to it, but don't have the option to use it here, when I need it most, because I can barely see what I'm typing, having just woken up or still being half asleep and bleary eyed so as not to forget the dream. I would appreciate autocorrect working in-app. And this is probably just a bug, but the moods in the analytics are stuck on the moods of a single dream one time, not showing all the other moods I've had, which is very obvious as that particular dream had the opposite mood of what I'm used to. The rest works well, though (also why it stands out). Definitely fixable. Despite all this, like I said, it's genuinely the only good dream tracking app out there at the moment. Oh! An idea I would suggest, though I understand if it's not possible, is that one could press on a "thing" keyword and same as one can highlight words to show the definition, have it show a dream dictionary interpretation (possibly working together with dreammoods? That's the best dream dictionary out there, in my opinion). Okay, that's my thorough review of the app. If you don't mind the privacy invasion (yes yes, it's confidential blah blah, one can fill in made up names and dates, but the dreams are still very private, and it would be even more confidential offline), then I recommend the app.
after a year, stopped working/loading
Had this app for maybe a year now, was really good before some big update, then recently i went to log a dream and nothing is there, i click to log a new dream and the screen goes blank and stops working, app crashes. Really upsetting considering this app was really nice before
I so miss this app
I canβt bring myself to delete the app, even though it no longer works. I check it every few months, hoping it will be back up and running. There isnβt anything like this app, and I need it!
Please update
The app is outdated to the point where whenever I open the app, it crashes. Dreamboard still works on web browsers, but the app is too old to be useable on iPhone 10s. It would be great to be able to use the app again.
stupid!
tried to create an account and it would not let me.
Thumbs up
Amazing app! Could you pop a little "save draft" feature on it, though? It lost two of my dreams because in my groggy haze, I hit the back button. :( For everyone else, this app is stellar. I absolutely love it.
App wonβt open
The Apple open and when I go online I canβt sign in because I donβt remember my password. No password help available. π
Crash on launch
Had this years ago and wanted to get my data and start using it again. Seems to crash on launch on the latest version of iOS on an iPhone 11
I miss this
I miss this app so much it used to be worthy and I had this for years now. For the last 5 years I used to depend on this app to save and write all of my dreams. But now that it stopped working and it automatically gets out whenever I click on the app. It is such a betrayal since all of my favorite dreams from last 5 years is here π. I canβt get myself to delete is app. I hope it gets fixed...
doesnβt even open
idk if I like this app or not, it has yet to open without crashing before I see anything.
Really really good but...
It's a really useful app, displayed beautifully. I love the Analyse feature as well. However, my only criticism would be that I wish it wouldn't go back to the top when looking through the journal, it's a bit irritating. Great app tho!
wont work
wont let me even open the app..
Please fix-
This is the app Iβve been looking for, super excited to use but when I tried to make an account it freezes when I start to type my password. Other than that Iβm sure this is an amazing app so I will be sticking around till this annoying bug is fixed, thanks.
This is my favourite dream app
This is the best dream journal app I've tried so far, don't understand why it's free.
It doesnβt openπ
It seems like a good app but I try to open it and it wonβt open, i donβt know what to do.
I like it
It would be nice to have more statistics. Like who we dream of the more often, the emotions in our dreams, etc.
Plz fix it!
I canβt even open the app and Iβm really excited about it plz fix it!
Love the app but cannot login
This app is a joy to use, but i cannot login to my account recently.. it freezes in the password input. Please fix and update!!!
Helpful & easy to use
Super easy to use and track my dreams with. Thanks!
Doesnβt open
I downloaded the app because it looked cool and the app wonβt even open. Iβve deleted and downloaded 3 times and itβs unusable.
Much better
The update brought an improved design, new features and fewer bugs. But where is the "weirdness" metric, or "themes"? These were valuable to me as I had tracked them in over 200 dreams. Why are my people, places and things not at all organized to show which are most popular? I'm only seeing a few random ones and it's not very helpful.
Become Buggy?
I love this app, itβs great! However, it currently freezes each time I try to enter my password, which prevents me from actually being able to use it.
Ok, but could be better
I've used Dreamboard for about a month and overall it's quite good. There are a few things which could easily be improved: It is not possible to add dream types such as vivid or thematic - you're stuck with the 3 provided. You have to add an emotion to your dream, but I'm often finding I'm adding 'none' as my dream was just observing something. And when you type in anything, on my iPhone the text box is black so you can't see what you are typing until you click ok - and then discover you're typos and have to do it again!! One puzzling thing: in the analyze section, the dream are represented by a series of coloured dots on 3 levels - I've no idea what this is supposed to signify! But hey, it's a free app and it's certainly useful for keeping a dream journal. I've not tried anything else to nothing to compare it with yet.
Great!!
Such a cool app!! Has tons of great features for being a free app and it's very organized. Love it.
Wonβt open
Just installed and it wonβt even open to run
Problem
When I try to enter my passcode, the keypad disappears so I cant enter my code meaning I cant get in the app. I've tried redownloading and rebooting my phone but it still happens. Please fix this :(
Nice app, but needs some fixes
I love many of the features of the app, but I hate that the keyboard covers my text when I'm narrating my dreams. I'm constantly typing blind and it makes using the app very difficult.
Great idea, but runs poorly
I love the design of the app and options/categories available (I.e. Colour tone of the dream, who was in it, mood etc) but the app is so glitchy. I opened the app today (didn't even log out or in) and all of my dream logs were just gone, and a week or two back I got randomly locked out of my first account, so I don't feel comfortable putting them back in because I'm worried I'll lose everything a third time xxx
π±π±
This app is amazing so cool you can not only tell your dream but you can put a mood tell if your the main character or not give it a setting and even a colour plus you can put a security password on it for free and like no ads AMAZINGπ
Wont even work
the app doesnβt work, i canβt even get into the app. iβve tried, multiple times and yet it goes to the home screen and backs out.
Love it! Just a tiny problem
The only problem I have is that I can't access the full dream after I've written and saved it. My dreams tend to be quite long, which means it's even more fun to reread them. But I can't see the last parts of them. Would it be possible to put in an editing function? :) other than that! Love it!
Boooooo
I use to depend on this app to write in my Dreams every morning but now thy they've changed it to an account type thing, I've list all my dream journals. I don't think ill ever trust a dream app again.
Needs to be an Edit Option!
I can't wright something for yesterday's dream, or delete something if I need to. Or even have the option to edit.
AWESOME
This app is a really good way to record and analyze your dreams and also an awesome way if you want to start lucid dreaming, this app gives you a chance to take a look at the part of your brain the might be a little different than everything else
Wonβt Open
Every time Iβve tried to use this app it automatically crashes before it loads. I thought it might have been because of my phone but I checked the AppStore page for it and itβs compatible. Iβve even deleted it and reinstalled it but still nothing.
Great app
Love the app, and the latest update took care of most of the things I was annoyed by. Though I do wish that there was an edit option, since if I wanted to change or add something to a dream entry, I'd have to delete the post and write it all over again.
Does it even function?
When I used to have Dreamboard (for the first time) it was great until it decided to quit on my while I was in the middle of writing a long summary of my dream. And it did this repeatedly. I uninstalled it. I just today decided to give it another try as I had a really vivid dream. I had forgotten my passcode and reset it. So then it brought me to these sign in and/or sign up pages, none of which allowed me to use my keyboard to enter information. I am done with Dreamboard. It had so much potential but functions so badly I can't stand it.
Needs work
Great concept and look but I don't think I'll use it just yet. There really needs to be an edit option plus the ability to save drafts.
So awesome!!
Just perfect. Has everything needed for dream recording.
Doesnβt even open
What a pointless app, itβs just a decoration on my screen. The app literally does not open.
Really cool
It's an interesting app to use, but there's a few glitches. The passcode setup won't work and I can't edit my profile. I also can't delete my dreams. If those glitches are fixed this app would be a 5 star. But it's an overall cool app
Mr freeze
App freezes often. Deeply frustrating when you're trying to record your dreams before you forget them.
Not the same..
I love the concept of this app. I have been using the website version for a few weeks now. My only issue is there are not as many options to analyse your dream as there are on the website such as themes, weirdness and body presence!
