Not getting alerts
Not get alerts until after a storm has already parted or is almost over. Sometimes I won’t even get an alert until 1/2-1hr goes by. This app has been declining bad for the past year or more now. This is to be a good app but now it’s completely unreliable.

I, like probably 99% of people on here are complaining about the sudden intrusive ads that can’t be closed. PATHETIC !!
Ads have only gotten worse
I have used this app for several years. The radar function is one of the best out there (especially the severe weather warnings overlays), but the ads make the app borderline unusable. It’s a shame, but I’m moving on to greener pastures.

I’ve used this app a long time and loved it… until the most recent update: now as I’m looking at the forecast the screen suddenly changes to a loud advertisement that I can’t close or mute. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to opt out. I will stop using this app if that doesn’t change. Please make a way to stop the jump scares.

This is hands down the best local weather app with amazing accuracy and coverage, I will never use another app other than this one again
Was my favorite
This was one of the best weather apps out there. For some time, though, the updated radar, when in motion, cycles so fast that you cannot tell what storms are doing. If that wasn't bad enough, it now has so many ads that it's almost completely unusable. Ads when you open, way too long, I've even had ads I couldn't get to close.
Pretty good actually
This app is so fire. I live looking at all the different types of severe weather. I just wish it would show the 1-5 risk of the weather outlook

This was great until the pop up ads started.
Why all the ads?
This has been my go-to app for a couple years, and the weather is still so accurate, but lately, it’s been packed with ads. I may go the route of finding a new app. I want to know the weather quickly
Disappointing changes
Update to my original review- After months of the commercial-ridden version of the app, the powers that be came their senses and have now removed the odious advertisements and the app is back to being a helpful and useful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 😊 Previous review- As other reviewers have noted, this used to be a fantastic app! Now there regularly are advertisements popping up- including sometimes when you initially open the app! It's very annoying to not be able to access information because you have to wait for the ad to finish. In the case of severe weather, this could cause some serious problems!
Ads galore
This app used to be fantastic, our whole family used it, even when we traveled to Europe always amazing. Now it is non stop ads, every screen you touch you have to watch a full screen ad. Deleting and getting ISCN app
Ruined the app
I’ve been using this weather app since it was first introduced. It has been my go-to weather app. The latest update has ruined this app. It’s no longer easily customizable, it has overlays that no one asked for and the new configuration of options being spread along the bottom of the window is just annoying. When you change something it adds a custom choice which takes up even more room. On my tablet it has always reduced the map in landscape mode but now it covers even more of the screen so you only see about 1/5th. It’s obvious that this was designed specifically for a phone with very little effort give to a tablet. There is way to much wasted space on the top and bottom. On the smart phone the new layout covers an additional 10% of the screen. The old layout with options on the right side worked great. Why someone had the brilliant idea to change it is beyond me. Unfortunately there’s no going back so I’ll be finding a different weather app.
It’s ok
Half of the time it’s says it’s pouring outside when it’s a perfectly sunny day and the apparently the 24 forecast don’t work!

I like this app - another local news agency discontinued their local cal weather app pushing me more towards this station ! Love it!
Disappointed with ads
Used to be a great app, then you added all the ads lately. I can’t even see the temperature quick without having to watch an ad! The most recent problem is the ad won’t even let me close out of it after watching the whole thing. Will be looking at using a different app as my go to for weather and deleting this one.
What a bummer
Used to be a very good weather app, until just recently they added pop up ads which is very frustrating when trying to see the radar during a storm!!
Most recent update was a set back.
I’ve used and loved this app as my primary weather source for years. The last update, unfortunately, changed the radar to only show predictions vs. actual current and past radar. Its basically rendered this app useless in storms unless you use it to get to the news website to find the actual radar. Super disappointing - will have to change to a new app.
Ridiculous ads.
This app used to be great. Now, you cannot open the app or select any functions in the app without an ad playing. And most of the ads are for very disreputable products. I downloaded another local TV station’s app that I will be using instead of this ruined one.
Video orientation is off
When watching a video in landscape mode, the phone acts like it is in portrait mode. It’s hard to explain, but very annoying. It’s been that way for awhile now.
Notifications
What happened to the notifications about watches and warnings? Out of 4 phones that all have the updated version, not a single one received a notification about last Fridays storms.
Severe weather, no watch this ad about virus on your phone first
Just what I want from an app that used to be my go to for anything weather related. Now every time the screen comes up. I have to wait for an ad of some nonsense over and over and over. Tornado in my area coming this way no watch this ad first and then maybe we’ll show it to you but if the screen refreshes, you’re gonna have to watch the ad again absolute garbage of an update.
Needs bug fixes
Sometimes the radar is blank. Or it won’t animate. A lot of problems that need fixed that have been going on for years.
Ads have ruined this app
I used to love this app and recommended it to everyone I know. It is unusable due to the ads. I am writing this review and then deleting it.
What happened to the ability to see the future weather pattern?
I used to be able to see present and future and now I don’t have that option. My phone is up to date and the app isn’t showing an update. I like to be able to see ahead for precipitation as a bus driver.
What Happened?
This weather app used to be fantastic. Now, because of the full-screen pop up ads, I hate it. You can’t click out of the ad. Sometimes they can be 30 seconds to a full minute long, which is a long time when you need to check the weather immediately. I usually swipe up to close out the whole app, and start over. This isn’t even a good fix because after about 3 moves on the app, another ad pops up. It has rendered this app almost useless.

When my app used to work it worked great for me, but when I am at my house and open this application it says that it is not available in my current location, it works everywhere else except the place I’m at most often. It used to work at my house. Please Help. :(
Pop ups
The app was better in the past. Keep it simple. There are now pop up ads every time you switch screens ie from Home Screen to daily or to radar etc. not helpful in an “emergency”
colors 😡
the new up date (i think) is terrible. hard to tell from watch or warning. can see radar. cant get past the opening screen. guess ill go find a different one. based on my job i really need an app i can count on.
Ads are terrible
This was my go to weather app for living in Iowa but the new pop up ads are terrible. I deleted it and have found other places to get my radar and weather information. Way to let greed kill a good thing.
