Great app, has a bug!
Been using this app for 7-8 years now and has been great. It’s simple and easy to use. A few months ago it glitched and moved about a months worth of my first ever photos to the front, so now the ghost photo to frame yourself right is an 8 year old photo. Also my oldest photos no longer have the date and show as 1989. Other than that, I love it
Pretty good. Needs a few improvements.
Having native camera controls when taking photos would be very useful. Often I end up needing to turn my flash on or off and as that is in the native camera taking screen, adding that would make this app even more useful. Also having the location captured in the image would be amazing.

It’s nice to be able to easily capture 1 moment of each day, and overtime experience a sense of nostalgia, over time.

They added a feature that requires paying to export the video. There is 0 transparency about this anywhere in the app!
No date&time feature
A date stamp in each photo or by year would be nice.
Pictures suddenly overly contrasty
App has been great and I’ve used it for over 10 years, but sometime in the last month, possibly to do with 18.4, images show up fine in the preview but the actual image when taken is dark and has a lot of contrast. Emailed support but no response :-(
Mirroring
Is there a way to turn off mirroring? And you Twitter inbox only allows verified users.
Almost everyday for over 10 years
Been taking my pic almost everyday for 10 years. A novelty for sure, but a fun one.
Have to pay to download video
Been using the app for over a year. Decided to download the video today and found out you have to pay in order to do that. You can’t even screen record. Not doing that so instead I recorded the recording on my iPad and sent it to myself. Still a major scam though that they don’t tell you that you need to pay in order to do something one could easily do themselves on Photos

Really good application, minus one star because when you are finally done, you have to pay $1.00 to download the video. this can very easily be bypassed by just downloading all the photos individually (free) and then putting them into capcut or something similarl.

developer doesn’t take feedback
close to perfect. need to be able to have more than just one continuity. should be able to have a daily selfie that’s a plain face and a daily selfie that’s a smile. that’s all I want. very simple. but app hasn’t changed or been updated in years.

Easily best of its kind
I looked at a lot of other selfie a day apps before finally finding this one. It’s perfectly simple and doesn’t have too many useless bells and whistles. Best part for sure is that it’s almost entirely free, with the only charge being a one time charge of one dollar for access to exporting videos, which is honestly worth it considering how much its competitors are charging that is an immediate turn off
Dropbox full
I had to stop using this app after 5 years because I refuse to pay extra to Dropbox. My Dropbox is full and that’s the only way it lets you save the pics (that’s the only thing linked to Dropbox). Also, I didn’t used to have to pay to get the video. Such a shame all these apps that were awesome get greedy. Oh well, time to find a new app and start over with one that allows iCloud backup.
Easy to use
I enjoy this app for a simple way to record a visual and chronological sequence of “portrait” photography. I would give 5 stars if it had the capability of adding a limited journal/text feature.
It worked for awhile
When uploading to dropbox it duplicated images to the point of running out of storage. Randomly it created a duplicate within the app where the date was changed to 1969. The features are very intuitive and simple which I appreciated. I successfully completed a year, but I will not be using it any longer due to the mentioned tech issues.
Almost perfect needs improvement...
Just got a new ipad and lost all my pictures from the old app. I would love to see a feature where you can sync photos with timstamps and all from other devices
Awesome app
What a simple and fun app. I started using the Everyday app in 2011 and really appreciate that Close-up could import my photos. Any chance you will support multiple profiles? I’d love to keep my photos going and also start a roll for my kid. Thanks!
App crashes when making video
This app seems great, but it closes every time I try to create or play a video. Please fix, thanks. Would rate it 4+ if the video worked

Great app but it is $1.00 to save each video and $1.00 to send the same video. I wasn’t aware of this so I paid to share it. THEN I had to pay again to save it to my device. SAVE FIRST OR SEND TO YOURSELF! It would be amazing if you offered subscription options for packages for multiple saves. I am the type who likes to play around with editing and compare different variations. Trust me guys, I’ll give you my money, just don’t make me pay for mistakes learning the app. Thank you
Great until deleted
USED THIS UPP FOR 3 YEARS AND IT WAS GREAT BUT MY LITTLE SISTER ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT AND I LOST ALL OF MY PHOTOS, THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO RECOVER THEM IF THE APP IS DELETED :) AMAZING APP THOUGH!
Backup
I’m not sure why this App will not backup in the Apple iCloud and we have to subscribe to DropBox if you wish to keep any of your photos... (issue if your changing yr phone)

Was amazing but since Dec 23 stopped working (edited - works great again)
Whenever I take a daily pic now on my iPad it ZOOMS in on my nose. I’m taking the pictures the same way I have for the past SIX YEARS and now it will only zoom after a pic. I’ve tried using flash. And not flash. Focus and not focus. If I take maybe ten pictures in a row just slamming the button and deleting immediately it *may* take a normal pic I can keep…after MULTIPLE attempts. I’ve emailed the contact info to ask for help but no response. Bummer since I’ve been taking daily pix for six years and now no longer can. Frustrating not knowing what is causing the new issue. EDIT - App has started working again and is great. I don’t know if it was iOS issue, iPad problem or something with the program. But it’s back to being perfect. Love it.

simple app, not too over complicated or busy. only with you could make multiple albums for different years but other then that i love it.
Limitations
Cannot use the rear camera on this for some reason? Also took a selfie by accident and cannot delete it either
Almost Perfect
This app is amazing except for the fact that you can only have one photo album/video at a time. Why is this? This app is nearly perfect except for that small little detail. If I was able to track daily photos of multiple subjects then I would use this app for sure.
Lost all data
I really loved this app at first, but then I lost all my photos because the app now requires IOS 12.0 or higher. The app now won’t open at all. Really disappointed because it had 6 months worth of photos.
Please fix the bugs

very easy way to watch yourself grow/develop
i’ve always loved watching the timelapse videos of people who have taken a picture of themselves everyday, but i told myself i couldn’t do it. i didn’t know how to frame my face in the same part of the picture every time and didn’t know how to edit together photos. closeup does all of this for you. you can set up a guideline for where you’d like your face to be (if you want) and they put all the photos into a timelapse. you do have to pay to save the timelapse, but you can still view it for free. you also get to take pictures as frequently as you’d like (4x a day, 1x a month, or just whenever you want) i genuinely love being able to see myself grow through different parts of my life. the app is incredibly intuitive, doesn’t spam you with notifications (except an optional reminder to take a photo), and doesn’t have ads. i honestly recommend it to all my friends and they all enjoy it as well.
Lost Photos
Need an option to log in or something. Lost my phone and lost over 8 months worth of daily photos. Gutted 😡😡

Ok, this app is practical and useful but you need to make it so we can save the video to our camera roll for free or at least tell us how much we would have to pay to unlock that feature. I would give you 5 stars then. Right now l can't save it to my camera roll because you have to purchase the option but you don't tell us how much it is and l'm worried that if would be like $5 or something which means that money's wasted.
Sync back images into the app ?
I've used this app over a year. It's been great so far until I had to reset my iPhone which lost all the selfies within the app. Although I have back up from Dropbox, is there any way that can sync back the photos into the app? :(
Using it for over a year - LOVE IT
Best app for a pic a day purpose. Clean, simple and super easy. Also has pic backup to DropBox. The video it generates is exactly how you would expect from an app for this purpose too. FIVE STAR!
not mad just upset
loved this app so much looked forward everyday to taking my selfie of the day! then one day the camera changed so it was no longer on selfie cam and I couldn't fix it... also, everytime I took a photo the app would crash! so disappointed lost all my photos and I'm just absolutely crushed
No Option for Back Camera Photos
Was excited to try this app as an alternative to Everyday. Loved the simplicity, features in Settings, and even the how-to to port over from Everyday. That said.. how is there no feature to use the “Back Camera” on the iPhone?? I use these types of apps to capture memories of my kids, as I’m sure many others do. Not being able to flip the camera from a front-selfie is a deal breaker for me. Author, please add the ability to use the back cameras, I’ll gladly pay!
