This was a wonderful game for many years until the update. The game no longer works.
from "pro" to ads
I paid for this game as a pro version because it was ad free. After many happy years of playing it started locking up on launch. The only fix was to uninstall and reinstall the game with apparently a new version that includes ads, despite the fact that I paid for this game. Not cool.

App Won’t Start
I paid for the Pro version with no ads on three of these apps. Now if I restore my purchase, none of my Scopa Apps will run! Dishonest! Scopa Pro, Briscola, Asso all will not run. Used to be great.

Poor game mechanics
Whatever algorithm this game uses for gameplay is out of whack. There’s no discernible difference between easy and difficult settings, the opponent almost always gets the settebello and no matter what style of play you use it almost always wins. I’ve been playing this game since I was a child and I can tell you it does not feel like real gameplay at all.
Playing against yourself
When you play the game long enough it picks up on how you play and starts playing the exact same strategy as you. You are not playing the computer. You’re trying to beat yourself.

Great app for playing Scopa! I play for scopa all the time and I have to say app looks and works great. The app is well designed and offers offer a variety of classic Italian cards from different regions of Italy. Unfortunately, multiplayer has been down for a few months now, PLEASE FIX MULTIPLAYER!!!

As integration is a mess
The Scopa gameplay is great, but the ad integration (which cannot be avoided) is a buggy mess, which has a significant negative impact on the gameplay 😟

Doesn’t shuffle the cards well. You will get a lot of hands with 2 or 3 identical cards with your opponent. It’s a lot of fun though.

Good version of the great Italian card game. Clear graphics and fairly decent AI.

In the last couple of weeks something has changed, and now every time I launch the app, the usual advertisements play, but after that nothing happens and cannot use the app anymore.
Please add multiplayer with actual people

AI doesn't like to lose
I like the game except that AI wins 95% of the time. It gets all the cards as it needs them and does whatever it wants to win. Play knowing you're gonna lose and it's ok, think you can win and you drive yourself mad...
Internet connection not happening.
I got this game to play with 4 player on the internet but it doesn’t want to connect. Frustrating

Great game, fun and frustrating at the same time. Too many ads though.

To bad you can’t pay a fee for no adds. Sitting there watching some other stupid game being played that you have to wait for stinks.
Fun game
I have tried a lot of the scopa apps and I like this one the best. I came to scopa after finding that it was the game casino was based on while different games they are very similar. The expert mode cane be challenging but not impossible.
Significant UX issues
Plays well enough but forces you to start new games in an effort to display more advertising and tons of modal dialogs that interfere with game play.
How do I access the game rules?
Unless it’s just me for some weird reason, the only thing close to possible instructions, the Guide, is greyed out and unselectable. This is the same for your other similar games.

Shuffling is done very poorly. Both hands get the same cards quite often.

Download the app, start the app and have an ad before I see the game? Complete trash, instantly deleted, epic fail

Game is Biased
The game is I'm sorry just too biased towards the computer. Every time I pick up the 7 Gold the he gets a scopa. Also he wants has mirror cards and so picks up all my cards as well. Not worth it at all.
Good game but ruined by adverts
The long advertisements are so intrusive that they've made the game unplayable. Please note that I won't be inclined to want a product if the ad has put me off. The game itself is great but I can't accept the nuisance of getting to it any more.
Updated Version
I LOVE THE GAME!!! It has been great up until this latest update. Then all the problems started!!!! I cannot load it on my iPhone 5 any longer. I normally play 8-10 different times per day! Please fix the problem.

Was great until the update. Now it's useless.
I have used this Scopa app for the past several years with no problems. All of a sudden, they do a MAJOR update, and it won't even load in. I have tried on all three of my iOS devices…same thing. It has been about a week now, and there is still no sign of them fixing the issue. I feel confident they will, and will revise my review once they do, but come on!

I like the look of the cards and the speed with which they're dealt, but this game would be more fun if it were weighted more evenly. The settebello goes to the computer's side about 80-90% of the time. Often for several hands in a row cards are dealt to me that can't win anything that's on the table. There are two other Scopa games that feel like real games where I have a better chance of winning.

the game plays smoothly but on the pro level it is thoroughly rigged to the computer. It is like playing video blackjack in Las Vegas where the house wins no matter how well you play. I enjoy playing the game but this makes me quit far sooner than planned. Fix it to be a true deal and balanced for five stars!
Bellisima No!!!
Went from 5 stars to 3. Besides the increasing rate of ads, it's now hard to open since the game hasn't been optimized for most current iOS. Perfect Christmas gift my eye. Get with it. You have a good game, but it needs to stay current.
App won’t start after upgrade
I originally purchased the free version of this app. The adds became annoying, so I decided to upgrade to the add free version. I purchased the app and since then the app will not start. I’ve tried to contact the company but no one has responded. The app is ok when it works, but not getting a response after spending a few dollars is enough for me to look somewhere else.

This new version is needlessly complicated, very slow, and crashes often. I preferred the simpler version of the game, without all these new options that bog down play. Perhaps this will be fixed soon?

No deck of cards is perfectly shuffled but these cards need to be more random.
