Good but could use some expansion
I used this while learning the basics of Japanese while I was in college. The rhythm in which the voices speak hiragana has always stuck with me. That’s said, this app could use some improvement Teaching sentence structure would be very useful for any user of any age.
The voices are driving me crazy.
The voices are annoying, I feel like I’m three and trying to learn Japanese without slowly going insane. It’s also way too fast, and I don’t know how to go back because everything’s written in Japanese, the language I’m trying to learn. It’s just hard to use, I don’t recommend using this if you don’t already know a lot of Japanese.
色弱
うちの子はどうやら色弱があり、残念ながらひらがなの優しい単語クイズのヒントになる黄色、水色、緑が見分けられないようです。。全然ヒントにならないので、青や、赤で明確にしてもらえると助かります。。 上の子が小さい頃（10年位前）から愛用しています！ありがとうございます。

hello this is a good app that is all to say
Why this game is truly useless.
This game is just straight to the point, and supposedly teaches you Japanese but ends up teaching you absolutely nothing! It has no instructions and just goes straight to the point without any feedback in the end. It gives you no advice and you barely understand what the words mean besides simple visual clues. Therefore you should either delete it immediately or don’t download it whatsoever.

Could have been good, but...
At first I liked the app. As someone trying to get into the language I wanted something to help me write out and sound the characters without having to get out the old fashioned pen and paper. Unfortunately this does not allow me to avoid that fate, and it's frustrating because this app is almost perfect. The problem is they expect you to drudge through writing out several characters before even attempting to having you draw one from memory. The problem with this means you won't; unless, you get out a sheet of paper and hand draw the same character several times and basically throw the app away at this point because it no logger s raves a purpose. To summarize, if they would pop quiz you I. Smaller chunks this app would have been useful, but they didn't. Don't waste your time. This will be more useful after you can recognize the letters by site and just need to hear them.

小学校入学前の練習に使用していますが、入学前にクリアしておきたい、本人の名前を練習出来るモードがあると完璧だと思います。それ以外は文句無いです。

I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about learning the kana. I love that it incorporates sight, touch and audio into the learning. I just wish that there were translations for the Japanese words on the side of the screen.

It's a good app but I wish I knew what I was writing. It just teaches you how to write. The problem is I don't know WHAT I'm writing. If the app could tell me what I'm writing that would help 😓
Difficult to navigate & irritating
Immersion. At this stage, that doesn't work for me and I find the app frustrating and difficult. I like app "Hiragana & Katakana "--very good but wanted something to help me practice writing. This app does this. But showing Romaji (as an on/off option) would help a lot.
Creative Concept and Musical
Two main elements are used in this app: tracing characters and memorizing sounds. Using the touch-screen interface you trace the Hiragana characters using your finger. While learning how to draw the characters you also get to memorize their sound by listening to the background music which consists of basic beats and singing of the character sound. There is also a simple 'snap' card game included as well. Highly original but limited by its simplicity, those who are new to Japanese will find this a fun way to learn the basics. Note: the entire app is in Japanese as it is aimed at young Japanese children.

This is the best my Japanese teacher is right it dose drive my parents mad 😡 so I do have to wear headphones other by that it is a really good app I was behind on Japanese now I’m not behind on it thanks to this app 🙂 . From Japanese learner
UTTER GARBAGE
Had to use this app in school. I hate it. Makes me feel like I’m having heart palpitations. This song killed my great great grandma. Utter rubbish.
The new update is great but...
I installed this new update thinking it was a dictation test as my App Store described it but it's not. The update added a stroke order memory test instead. Don't get me wrong the stroke order is memory test is great and just what I needed to keep my skills sharp but it's not what I thought it was. Just saying. A dictation test that records your voice to test your pronunciation sounds like a great idea! Hope it comes up in the future. I love this app. It's helped me a lot too. Also the review where I said there was a bug where the app crashes is only occasional. It maybe a good idea if someone checked it out though. Thanks

It would be better if it had English subtitles or something, because I can never understand what the person is saying! There is barely any English in the app itself

즐거운 리듬에 히라가나 쓰기와 관련단어 듣기가 동시에 이루어져서 아이들과 즐겁게 해보았는데요 몇번하고나니 아예 각 메뉴로 클릭이 안되네요 프로그램 구성면에선 별 다섯개 아깝지 않지만.. 몇번 실행 후 들어가지지않아서 별 세개 깎습니다. 오류나는 부분 수정해주세용^^삭제하고 다시 깔았더니 들어가지네요ㅜㅜ 다시 실행오류날까봐 자주 못하겠어요 딸래미는 재밌다고 또 해줘하는데...
音声が気持ち悪い
書き味はなめらかで、子供も練習しやすそうでした。ただ、こもった感じで気持ちの悪い反響音のある音声は聞くに耐えませんでした。

Good but needs update
It's helpful how it shows the stroke order of the characters and also how to incorporate them in other Japanese words. But it would be more helpful if it had the English definition and if it could pronounce it. There were a few hiragana characters when it did, but not all of them. Most of it was jus background music.

I have just started to learn Japanese and this was one of the fist apps I downloaded. I really like this app for a few reasons: 1) it has constant audio of words - helping with pronunciation. 2) practicing writing the kana and learning stoke order - very helpful. 3) the mini games (match the cards and spell the word) are great for understanding how words are forms. They also offer three levels of difficulty. The only issue I have with this app is that sometimes the pronunciation is to quick and is not clear enough, making it difficult to understand. I would recommend this app for along with other Japanese learning apps found on the App Store.

This seems to be a series of games and exercises to write and interpret hiragana characters - there isn't any translation of the exercises into English so you just have to wade in and guess what is happening - I like the soundtrack !
